We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this villa in Crete! The house was fantastic – beautifully maintained with everything we needed for a perfect vacation. We even got some fresh fruits to settle in. The beds were very comfortable, and the view from the villa was simply spectacular. The pool was a real highlight, offering stunning scenery and a great place to relax (Also, never played table tennis with that scenery…). Within just a 10-minute drive, we found lovely beaches and charming taverns. Our host, Spyros, was extraordinarily friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel truly welcome. We totally recommend this villa, especially for families looking for a relaxing and unforgettable getaway! It’s not cheap but totally worth it!

We loved staying at Petros's place. The location is picture perfect and completely serene, coupled with the stunning views - perfect getaway gem. The villa is beautifully designed with lots of places to explore and hang out in. Petros is very accommodating and all around helpful from assisting us in setting up the outdoor speakers to offering to make restaurant reservations on our behalf. We had an absolutely amazing time and hope to stay at the villa again when we come back to Crete. Highly recommend!

This is a BEAUTIFUL place - the pictures do not do it justice. The combined kitchen and living area is HUGE, and so is the pool and outdoor space. All the bedrooms have ensuites and are identical, and all have the same view and access to the terrace. It is spotless. The place is just at the edge of a really quaint beach town. It is super quiet and peaceful, and a 2 minute walk away from a bunch of bars and restaurants. Sofia herself is a WONDERFUL host. She’s kind, welcoming, and so responsive. Stay here - the value for money is excellent, and it’s a fantastic little town.

The house impresses with its large windows, which allow a beautiful view of the sea. Slidable screens in front of all windows, so that there was a good indoor climate even at 40 degrees outside temperature. A highlight was the starry sky, which we could enjoy on the mattress on the terrace( under safe mosquito net). Feederico provided us with fresh eggs, goat yogurt as well as honey and olive oil every morning. The interaction was extremely friendly and his tips were excellent. In particular, the tavern Agios Georgios , a bit individual, flower power and with excellent cuisine we will miss.

Vagelis was a wonderful host. He directed us to a parking lot close to the villa. He met us and helped us with our bags. We loved the villa. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning was great. The villa is beautifully designed with great furnishings and a lovely, peaceful courtyard. We loved how it was in the heart of the old city, yet super peaceful. Would stay here again in the future, no question.

The villa was beautiful, it exceeded our expectations. We really enjoyed having an en-suite for every room. Mia couldn’t have been more helpful, she was very proactive in ensuring we had a great trip. We felt so well looked after when we arrived there was lovely food and wine in the fridge. She really went above and beyond to accommodate us. We loved the location, right in the heart of the old town - so many wonderful tavernas within a short walk. And having a pool in that location was such a treat. Would definitely recommend.

This place is a treasure. The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular. The house has many clever features that are well designed. The area around Almyrida is fun to explore--go down to the beach or on a hike along the coast. Almyrida is a cute beach town, very welcoming. And we did several further from the town adventures. We had no idea that Crete has so much to offer--pottery in Margarites, beautiful beaches, intense hikes, exceptional museums, exploring Hania's historic streets. The property management team were wonderful to interact with. We felt so fortunate to find such a gem. Thank you!!! We sure hope we can return.

Spent my 50th bday at Nikos place and it was 10/10! There was 7 of us girls and the place was so spacious, private, well equipped and extremely clean. We loved that we could walk to PIGI (5 minute) to the market and a choice of 3 local restaurants. Nikos helped me set up car rental, massages, boat and he had excellent restaurant recommendations. All 10/10 especially our massage therapist. She was the best massage I have ever! we all had 2 massages each as she was that good. I think we will have a yearly trip to Crete and will be returning to Nikos place. Both him and Alexia (whom maintains the property) were amazing and managed all requests! Thank you again for a memorable time in Crete!

An absolute gem, we had an amazing stay at Maria's place. The house is absolutely beautiful, modern with quality all around. It's also super private with nothing but nature around you. Will definitely be coming back!!

We had an incredible stay with our family. The photos do not do it justice. It’s so beautiful and so peaceful. There were many lovely welcome food and drinks that we really appreciated. We had many activities and family in the area so we were out and about but were always looking forward to coming back to enjoy the house, the pool, and the gorgeous view. We also loved the hot tub when we got a little chilled from swimming since it was a bit early in season. We made sure to have a day to just do that. We used the indoor/outdoor theatre one night and that was really fun. All the rooms and the kitchen were perfectly appointed. Everything was so well thought out. We can’t wait to come again and stay longer and have time to use the outdoor kitchen, the gorgeous dining room and enjoy the beautiful pool and view again. Thank you Evi for an incredible stay at this beautiful house!

We had the most dreamy of times at the villa! Maria gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home right away. We loved her hospitality and proactive hosting, giving us tips and recommendations of places to visit in the area. The place provided everything one could wish for, from pristine looking rooms to hammam showers, a fine gas bbq and shaded terrace, glorious swimming pool, comfy sofa and a kitchen chefs would enjoy. The surroundings are to die for. Sinuous roads and endless sea views, unique beaches, but also mountain hikes, gorges and wine tastings not far at all (car is a must). Closest taverna has delicious food. Agia Galini is a short drive away and offers all essentials should you need to shop, eat out, find an atm or go on a fishing boat trip. Thanks again for a fantastic stay! We will be back sooner than later!

We stayed for 1 week (4adults and 4 kids) having been to Crete a number of times before. The villa was up in the hills (you need to hire a car to get anywhere and driving on the small lanes is not for the faint hearted) but this gave us the beautiful views over the bay and a lovely sea breeze. The house was immaculate with all the essentials and mod cons including chilled filtered water from the fridge. The ice machine didn’t work so one of the team popped around with a big bag of ice the next day which we used instead. We also experienced a sandstorm (happens about once a year) with Saharan sand being deposited on everything. The cleaners were around the next morning and the pool was cleaned beautifully. The pool itself was heated to a lovely temperature so the kids could enjoy it all day and the hot tub was even warmer so the perfect place to sit and enjoy drinks. We used the outdoor built in barbecue and sat outside for dinners (great views). Karolina was very responsive! Recommend!

Awesome villa in a great location with plenty to keep the family entertained. Easy 15-20min walk to the beach/Baja beach club, 10min walk to the local mini market (or 3min in the car) Heated pool was a massive bonus staying outside of summer. Maria was great host with a lovely welcome package, we’ll be booking for next year!

Our stay at the villa far exceeded our expectations. It couldn’t have been more perfect for our family of 6 adults/3 couples each with our own thoughtfully decorated bedrooms with ensuites. Anna & Georgio are warm, wonderful & super helpful hosts. They provided a much-appreciated array of goodies to help us get settled & were easily reachable for any advice or queries. Their warm hospitality & beautiful villa will always hold a special place in our hearts as we held a very special family celebration there with our family. Highly recommend the villa. I hope we’ll be back!

The indoor spaces are fresh and stylish, with every room designed to capture beautiful sea and sunset views. The outdoor area is equally impressive, perfect for lounging, swimming, or enjoying a meal. The villa's location is ideal—just a 10-minute drive to Rethymno beaches and close to local restaurants, cafes, and vineyards. Lily was an exceptional host, providing excellent recommendations and embodying true Cretan hospitality. She made our stay feel special, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful yet convenient retreat in Crete!

We had a fantastic time. The villa is stunning and had just been freshly renovated. Everything about it is designed to maximize the beautiful views, the airflow, peace and tranquility. The hosts were communicative, kind and generous with flexible check-in and out. The fantastic pool area, stonework, bathrooms, kitchen, linens, sauna/steamroom, washer & dryer, game room -- all were top quality. This was easily the most beautiful AirBnb we have ever stayed in. It was a good home base for exploring Crete. We were also happy to save one day for relaxing at the villa. We were only a family of four, and the villa could have easily held twice as many. Would love to return one day. Made wonderful memories here.

A fantastic house with wonderful sea views and all the comforts! Tastefully decorated with good quality both indoors and outdoors. Very private location without visibility. Lovely balcony with pool, parasols and outdoor furniture. We were personally received in the house at the appointed time and were given a tour of the house and all its features, as well as a basket of specialties from Crete. Walking distance about 5-10 minutes to Plakias with shops and restaurants. The only thing we wished for was a few more hooks to hang clothes on.

this is a great Villa to stay at in central Crete that made it easy to branch off to many other areas of the island the best part was the Villa itself with its swimming pool and the views. great place to stay close to the small village of margarite. highly recommend it's got to be one of the best places to stay in all of Crete. Michalis was a great representing host.

This was our best stay ever with airbnb, and the most beautiful in Greece. The house exceeded our expectations. The locations is awesome. The house is comfortable, spacious, modern, spotless and beautiful. The open views to the ocean are breathtaking in addition to being high above in the mountains. He outdoor terraces aremazibgand the pool iswesome withazing views. This house can easily accomodate 6 persons. Parking is easy for two cars. The place feels secure and very private. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. Located between Rethymo and Chania we felt the location was perfect. We lived every detail provided to us. The hosts were great communicating with us, greeting us and providing all kinds of reccomendations to us. They greeted us with some very nice presents, foid and wine. If you plan to visit Crete this is the pkace to be. If you want an unforgetable stay this is the place to be! We lived every minute of our stay and there are not enough words to Thank our hosts!

We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful house. The owner has thought of everything we really couldn’t fault it in any way. The owner was extremely helpful when we requested a later checkout as we had a late flight and had 2small children to consider. He came by to say hello and even brought us pastries which was very thoughtful. I would highly recommend this lovely house.

We had an amazing stay in casa Elegante. The villa was beautiful and even better than the photos. I cannot thank Antonis enough for his hospitality from the lovely fresh gifts he left us on our first day to the cleaning of the villa and pool after a dust storm on our second day. Antonis and his team worked very hard to clean the pool and outside areas for us to be able use again straight away. The villa has everything and more that you need. The brilliant heated pool for children (small separate children’s pool), which was perfect for our 18month old and children’s play area were a great hit. The villa was spotless and everything had been thought of. There is even a gym and sauna. The villa is set in a lovely traditional village, with 3 lovely tavernas, butchers and local shop. We didn’t need to leave the village at night and the locals were very welcoming. We would definitely love to see more of Crete, it’s very beautiful and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Casa Elegante again!
