Waterfront holiday rentals in Rethymno

The place was exactly what we expected and very comfortable and clean. The host was flexible with us for checking in and was there to greet us when we arrived. The host provided information to help us schedule our taxi to the port to catch our early morning ferry. The location was perfect with everything we wanted in walking distance.

Highly recommend staying at Simos's place! Very well-maintained, short walk away from many shops and restaurants, and the view of the water from the balcony is spectacular. Very much enjoyed our time there!

Yorgos Wohnung hat sehr gute Lage: liegt nah 5-7 min zum Strand, sehr nahr zum Backarei, mehrere Supermarkt, gute Taverna. Das ist nicht direkt in Retimno, jedoch sehr gut in 10 min mit Bus bzw.erreichbar oder 2 km bei schöne Spaziergang am Promenade entlang der Strandpromenade mit viele Restaurant. Die Wohnung selbst ist geräumig und gut ausgestattet( Grossere Kühlschrank, Herd, Spüll- und Waschmaschine,Moskitonetz in jeder Fenster, Klimaanlage). Dazu gehört auch Balkon wo man Abends sitzen könnte und kleine Pool mit viele Wasserspielzeuge. Yourgos und seine Tochter sind auch sehr nette Leute.Yourgos antwortet immer schnell, gibt gute Tipps und sogar zum Abschluss hat uns traditionelle griechische Sweets geschenkt. Vielen Dank. Wir können Yougos Appartament weiter empfehlen.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Woche in dieser Unterkunft direkt am Meer! Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet und der Blick vom Balkon aufs Meer ist ein Traum. Die Küche hatte eine Basic Ausstattung. Es gibt sogar einen Zimmerservice, der alle paar Tage die Handtücher austauscht, Müll entsorgt und sauber macht. Der Strandabschnitt ist recht ruhig und an den meisten Tagen waren wir fast allein dort. Man kann dort auch gut schnorcheln, wenn man mag. In der Nähe befinden sich zwei Tavernen, die uns beide sehr gefallen haben. Wir hatten einen Mietwagen und würden dies auch empfehlen. Der einzige Manko ist die Straße. Man hört sie aber nicht sehr stark unten am Meer und mit geschlossenem Fenster konnte man gut schlafen. Wir haben es beide nicht als wirklich störend wahrgenommen. Das schöne Grundstück und die Lage machen es definitiv wett. Wir würden immer wieder kommen!

Het appartement is compact maar prima. Het ligt iets tegen de heuvel, wat goed beloopbaar is ( wel stijgend dus). Het uitzicht over de baai verveelt nooit, is zo prachtig! In het dorpje voldoende supermarkten en restaurants, genoeg te kiezen. Een flink deel van het strand is een langzaam aflopend zandstrand. Echt fijn! Verder een prima uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te bekijken.

Located right in the heart of old town Chania, can easily people watch and take in the sights and sounds of old town without having to leave your place. Perfect sunset views. Note: best place to reliably park for free overnight is “Chania town car park”, about a 10 min walk. May be easier in the off season; and harder in the peak. Overall the location can’t be beat.

Huset var fantastisk fint, fresht og smakfullt. Møblene og utstyret i huset var også meget moderne, og alt fungerte som det skulle. Vertskapet bor i 2. etasje av huset, og vi hadde hele 1. etasje med hagen og bassenget. Til tross for at de bodde i samme hus, var de veldig diskré, og det ble ikke noe problem for oss. Alt var pent, rent og av god kvalitet. Ved ankomst fikk vi en gresk salat og en flaske olivenolje, som var både overraskende og veldig hyggelig. Huset ser like fresht og pent ut som det gjør på bildene, men beliggenheten er ikke den beste hvis man ikke har bil. Vi hadde bil, så for oss ble det ikke noe problem, men vær oppmerksom på at det ligger ganske langt unna utesteder, shopping og sentrum. Vi hadde et fantastisk opphold og en deilig ferie, og vi er meget fornøyde med valget av feriehuset vårt! :-)

Very nice home and location very nice, walkable to harbor and old town which was very nice! Lots of restaurants! The house was very clean and comfortable and really pretty view of the sea from living room area. The layout was very nice as bathroom on floor of living are and second floor with bedrooms with full bath very nice, lots of room!! My only complaint was, in my opinion, the portrait over master bed was very provocative and also, in my opinion, offensive being a female. Don’t understand why there must be naked pictures of female. This really offended me and can’t understand why??? Laura Rehm

Magnifique ! Foncez ! Le logement: Wahou ! Propre, cosy, confort. Une magnifique terrasse avec un jacuzzi privé dont nous avons beaucoup profité et une vue sur le petit port à couper le souffle. Une cuisine avec tout ce qu'il faut (frigidaire, vaisselle, couverts, etc ...). 2 belles salles de bains avec tout ce qu'il faut (serviettes, produits, etc ...). Chambres confortables. Un salon avec Netflix, pour ceux qui le soir ont envie de se poser un peu. L'accueil: Wahou ! Harry nous attendait avec le sourire, malgré notre retard (avion, location de voiture, les aléas des voyages🤣). Sur place un tas de choses pour bien commencer nos vacances : fruits, charcuterie, pain, eaux, coca et de quoi déjeuner (confitures, miel ,café ..) Le gros+: Merci à Harry pour ses bons conseils (lieux à visiter, restaurants, tavernes, plages ...) et sa constante disponibilité et rapidité à répondre pendant notre séjour. L'endroit: Très joli port, un peu bruyant et animé le soir. Bon départ pour sillonner.

Das sehr schöne Anwesen bietet mit seiner wunderbaren Lage viel Privatsphäre. Vom Gartenparadies aus kann man sowohl das Meer mit seinen spektakulären Sonnenuntergängen als auch die Berge sehr gut sehen. Es ist ein einzigartiger Ort, der so viele Möglichkeiten bietet. Es gibt Feigen, Granantäpfel, Zitronen, Orangen, Weintrauben so viel das Herz begehrt. Danke, dass wir uns einfach bedienen konnten! Das Haus selber ist sehr sauber, perfekt ausgestattet und gemütlich, die Betten bequem. Es gibt drinnen und draußen viele verschieden Sitzmöglichkeiten, je nach Wetter- und Windlage. Wir haben vor allem den großen, sauberen Pool geliebt mit der spektakulären Aussicht auf die schönen Berge. Das Meer ist ebenfalls sehr nah, wir empfehlen, Badeschuhe einzupacken, zum Teil ist der Strand mit Kies bedeckt. Heike und Ioannis waren perfekte Gastgeber und haben uns mit griechischen Leckereien verwöhnt. So toll, wir kommen bestimmt wieder. DANKE!

Wir haben 8 Tage in Fanis Unterkunft verbracht. Die Wohnung ist sehr modern eingerichtet und sauber. Sie hat alles was ein Selbstverpflegungsurlaub benötigt. Wir konnten Wäschewaschen, hatten alles mögliche an Küchenutensilien und eine tolle Terrasse, auf der man den Ausblick aufs Meer genießen konnte. Der Ort selber bietet alles was man braucht. Es gibt viele Restaurants und Bars, einen kleinen Supermarkt, Geldautomat uvm. Die Liegen + Sonnenschirm am Strand kosten insgesamt 10€ pro Tag, falls einer kommt zum abrechnen. Wir hatten einen Mietwagen um die Gegend zu erkunden. Kreta ist riesig und es dauert bis man an gewissen Orten ist. Für den Start hat Fanis uns Wasser, frisches Obst und kleine Snacks hinterlassen. Es war ein super Aufenthalt. Vielen Dank ☺️

The villa is lovely and has everything you need for a holiday. Clean and well maintained. There was extra cleaning during the week. Great view of the sea and the mountains. The cars passing on the main road, which is 100m below the villa, create a slight noise, but it is not unbearable. Maria is a great host and despite the late evening time of arrival she was waiting for us with a smile. She took care of us all the time and gave us valuable advice. There was a problem with the dishwasher, which was fixed the next day as soon as I informed Maria. We had a great week and would come back again.

Unique little spot right next to the heart of old town- really puts you in the middle of the experience. At the same time the sound-proofing in the house was quite good, and I had no trouble falling asleep. Evangelia was incredibly communicative and responsive. Would definitely return.

Absolutely loved this airbnb. Small deck overlooking the Chania Bay lighthouse and all the restaurants surrounding the bay. Airbnb at end and had a great restaurant (with blue chairs) that had great food. Beds were comfortable and back bedroom was very quiet as well. The owner met us at check-in and explained everything. Top deck was very nice to sit, my husband actually pulled out his laptop and worked on the table for awhile. He was in heaven. But we enjoyed sitting on small deck off living space too. Husband and myself w our two young adult children loved that we were so close to everything. Do not hesitate to book this airbnb.

This is absolutely our favorite Airbnb that we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). The place is adorable. Katerina is very responsive and lives right by the apartment. The view is wonderful, and both the living room and twin bedroom have doors that open onto that view. It has everything you need and more, with Katerina providing treats and even cereal and milk for that first morning. The air conditioning worked well, but there is also a lovely breeze from the sea. There are tons of restaurants and cafes just below the apartment as well as with 5 and 10 minutes walk in Old Town. It would be comfortable for a couple and a third person (such as a child) or two people, each with their own room. The washing machine was great to have, and you can dry clothes on the lines off the balcony. We did not want to leave.

The apartment, its location, and the hosts’ hospitality are simply impressive. The room had everything we needed - even sun hats, beach towels, and slippers. A separate crib was provided for our son. The apartment also came with a juicer, toaster, coffee machine, coffee, tea, and plenty of food. However, the place is better suited for couples without small children. Our 1-year-4-month-old son constantly wanted to go up and down the stairs (which isn’t very safe) or out onto the balcony. Still, he managed to enjoy the beautiful views and woke up saying ‘wooow.’ 😁 The water at the beach is perfect for small children and peaceful relaxation. We had a wonderful vacation! Nearby, we discovered a lovely restaurant called Halepa with incredible sunsets and delicious seafood - highly recommended.

Wir waren vom 6.10.-12.10. bei Nikos in der Unterkunft. Der Meerblick war toll. Abends haben wir das Meer rauschen gehört. 2 Minuten zum Strand. Das Wasser war klar und angenehme 25°. Am Strand waren nicht viele Leute, eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Insel bietet viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, die Altstadt von Rethymno ist allein eine Reise wert. Die Preise sind ok. Die Griechen sind nett und gastfreundlich. Nikos war zur Stelle, wenn wir ein Anliegen hatten. Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Diese Unterkunft können wir empfehlen👍. Uitzicht op zee! Ruim appartement en sfeervol ingericht, van alles voorzien. Direct aan de boulevard. Mooie uitvalbasis dichtbij Matala. Communicatie heel goed, mochten zelfs met onze baby eerder in checken. Aanrader!

Beautiful apartment in a great location. Fully stocked with everything required for our stay. Very helpful host who checked with us a number of times. Very easy check in and out. I would highly recommend this apartment.

Nice, modern flat at the beach. Is equipped with everything you may nee d. Very nice owner and the communication with Etouri was pleasant.

I‘m more that happy that we decided to stay at Dimitri‘s place. He ish very kind and helped us right away, if we had any questions. The location is peaceful and has a great view. The beach is not far away and the size of the apartment is just perfekt for a single person or a couple. I will definitely visit again.

Die Wohnung liegt perfekt, um die Insel zu erkunden, man ist im Zentrum der Insel, sofort auf der Autobahn (Empfehlung: vor Einzug unbedingt rückwärts am Berg anfahren üben!!) und trotzdem ist die Wohnung sehr ruhig und hat einen tollen Blick aufs Meer. Vor allem der kleine Balkon direkt über dem Meer hat es uns angetan, auch wenn er im Sommer vielleicht etwas zu heiß/zu wenig schattig sein könnte. Hier schließt man auch schnell Freundschaft mit den 4 Katzen, die gelegentlich auch den Nachbarshund zur Weißglut treiben. Wer Angst vor Katzen hat, sollte sich bei diesen anhänglichen Exemplaren lieber eine andere Wohnung suchen, Katzenfreunde werden es lieben. Mariannas Mutter ist eine gute Seele, bringt Eier der hauseigenen Hühner sowie frisches Obst und Gemüse vorbei. Alles in allem für uns der perfekte Ort, um die Erkundung der Insel mit Erholung zu kombinieren.
