Shepherds hut holiday rentals in Richmondshire District

Lovely hut, clean and cosy and very pretty in the evening around the fire pit.

Had a wonderful two day stay in Jesse's hut to do some work in a remote place without distractions. The cabin is bigger than one might expect, especially as I was by myself. Plus I was lucky the weather was just lovely so I could sit outside on the porch all day. Initially I imagined the hut to be on a field or end of a garden or so but it is in fact at the entrance of the working and residential farm. This by no means was any problem though as Andrew is such a friendly guy to talk to -as were the locals and other guests who stayed in the other cottages in the courtyard- and as such one can engage in a chat or just exchange a friendly smile. Good vibes and energy throughout. Glad I stayed here and if there'll be a next time I hope I have more time to explore the stunning views and area which seem to lend itself for some beautiful walks. Recommended!

Lovely stay, would recommend

Really really good stay. Enjoyed the use of the indoor and outdoor fires, especially under the stars and listening to the owls. Kathryn & Trevor have really used the space well and it feels very private. Trevor welcomed us from the beginning and was very friendly and showed us to the hut. Perfect weekend away to recharge and spend quality time with loved ones. Thank you for letting us stay in such a lovely peaceful space! Oh and the sheep are extremely friendly too!

Bodos hut was absolutely brilliant. Very clean and tidy and had all amenities. Hot tub was perfect and warm upon arrival. All in all it was a perfect getaway

I’ve just stayed here for the 2nd time, once with a friend and once on my own, can honestly say it was a lovely place where I felt safe and comfortable both times. The hut is spotless and comes with everything you could need including a BBQ and a log burner outside! The area is peaceful and the owners are friendly! Will definitely be returning again soon!

A perfect little weekend getaway. A few miles walk from the local village with pubs and shops. The hut itself is lovely and clean with everything you could need. Would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our night away in our cosy little shepherds hut. The surroundings were stunning and our hut was absolutely spotless. It was in a great location. We enjoyed a lovely meal in a local pub only 10 minutes drive away. The hot tub was definitely worth the extra £50. It was lovely and hot as we kept adding the logs on the fire. It was a lovely relaxing experience and amanda was a great host. Very helpful and recommended places to eat nearby. We just wish we booked an extra night. We will be returning in the future. Amazing place. A little cozy if you are bringing a medium/ big four legged friend. But otherwise it had all the essentials for a pleasant stay, it was very clean and well maintained. The check in was super flexible, which is a plus, and we received very clear instructions of how to find the place. Amazing views too!

Can’t recommend Chris and the Shepherds hut enough. The place is beautiful, there’s three huts onsite but they are positioned so it feels totally secluded and private. Fantastic views of Stoodley Pike. Hot Tub was great and easy to use, hut was immaculately clean and had everything you need to make it a home away from home. Chris was super helpful, getting in touch to offer to clean the tub and change our towels throughout the stay. He also recommended several pubs and restaurants to try in the area, all of which were fantastic. We had a great stay and will definitely be returning in the future.

Sharon was so friendly! The enchanted hut was just perfect! So cosy and peaceful. Beautiful sheep and lambs all around! The enchanted hut was very private and had lots of land for my dogs to run around! There was lots of walks around and a short drive to Whitby! The hut was clean and even better in person! I will definitely be back Thankyou!

We had a lovely weekend in the Shepherds Hut! Clare left a lovely breakfast hamper and was super helpful offering to light up the hot tub for us! Gorgeous and clean accommodation, a lovely walk into Ravensworth to the local pub, and a short drive into Richmond for a lovely day out! Will definitely be recommending and staying again! Thank you

Absolutely perfect and private location. Set in a beautiful little forest away from other guests, lets you forget about the world. Wildlife surrounding the cabin is amazing, we spotted deer, pheasants, hare amongst others. We would definitely recommend this beautiful place to anyone. Thankyou for a great experience. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Shepherd’s Hut (Hillside Hut). From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, cosy, and thoughtfully prepared. The hut itself is beautifully designed, full of charm and little touches that make it feel so welcoming. It was also spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the wood-burning stove made the evenings so warm and relaxing. Everything you could possibly need is provided, from a well-equipped kitchen to lovely outdoor seating where you can enjoy the views and the quiet countryside. The location is perfect, peaceful and private, yet still close enough to explore nearby villages and local walks. We loved how quiet and calm it was; it really is the perfect place to unwind and escape everyday life. The hosts (Joanne & Steve) were brilliant too, friendly, helpful, and respectful of our privacy, which made the stay even better. We would absolutely love to return again very soon and would highly recommend this little

I booked this stay for my parents and they absolutely loved it - Cate had thought of everything and there were lots of lovely little touches that made the stay extra special. Quality fixtures and fittings, lovely private space to with a great view. Would highly recommend and Cate was super helpful and friendly 😊
