Excellent room, the kitchen is super clean and easy to use. The people are friendly and have great recommendations for things to do in the neighborhood. The showers, the room, and the neighborhood are all clean and welcoming. would come back for sure

This place is just perfect for a trip away from Kyoto! The hostel is so tidy and clean and comfy. We received an immediate message upon booking to confirm our plans with check-in details. The staff were very sweet, helpful, and friendly and this was an excellent location in a quieter part of the city – across the river and away from the crowds and perfect to still get to be in Arashiyama. The hostel is walkable to the onsen and provides a couple for a discount for entry!

This is a hostel but not like any hostel in USA. So clean, private, safe, and comfortable. Wang greeted us and made wonderful recommendations so we went to he Monkey Park (WOW) amazing views in their habitat and views, then Hot Springs and Bamboo forest all within walking distance. Ate and drank and local places recommended that we would never have found. Next day - took Uber to Golden Temple. Such a short stay but did so much. Thank you Mulan and Wang! Highly recommend.

The (unfortunately only very short) time with Yusuke and Mariko was very, very nice! We felt right at home, it smelled good and you can tell that they put a lot of energy and heart into the house. Yusuke also gave us many great tips for the area. The neighborhood is cozy and much more pleasant than the city center. Bicycles can also be rented, which is a lot of fun in Kyoto. Thank you, we'll be happy to come back!

Had a great stay here. Everything is clean and everything was as described. I will stay here again the next time I visit Kyoto. highly recommended!

I had a lovely time and it’s a great location - very quiet but close to everywhere you need to be. Walls are thin but wasn’t really an issue and the staff are so lovely!

It feels like a good place to be alone, haha. The bed is also very comfortable, but overall it is very convenient!

A very nice place to stay in for a few days, the building is really amazing and the mood of the Cafe and guest house is great !

For the first time alone, I chose a tour, for people who are not required to stay, this is definitely a very good choice. There are things in the hotel, there is also a small kitchen where you can cook, Kiyomizu Temple, Kamogawa, Shijo shopping street, etc. Only walking distance, I am very happy to stay, I will stay here again in Kyoto.Thank you for the hospitality of a few young ladies, English was good, communication was not a problem at all.

The bedroom, kitchen, shower, and toilet were all kept very clean.I was glad to have coffee and other things in the shared space.Indoor slippers and hair dryers are also provided.I definitely want to do it again.

This hostel is beautiful - it is decorated in the traditional Japanese style with a little garden, tatami mats, and low tables. It’s close to public transportation and for the price it’s a great experience. The hostel is very clean and I really enjoyed hanging out in the communal spaces. I usually don’t spend much time in the hostels I stay at but this one had a really nice atmosphere & the other guests were great to chat with in the evenings.

Mulan Hostel is a wonderful place that exceeded my expectations. I had a peaceful stay here. Whether you are traveling on your own, or as a group. I would highly recommend Mulan Hostel. I would love to come back to this place!

It was a late self check-in, but the instructions were easy to understand and I was able to enter the room smoothly.I arrived late at night and left early in the morning, so I did not meet the staff, but there was nothing to worry about.I think it's thanks to the simple and accurate guidance and the easy-to-use facilities in the building.I felt that attention was paid to the details, and that it was a wonderful management. In many guesthouses where many people come and go, there are many facilities where shoes and personal belongings are scattered, but this one had a well-organized system. The system of changing into personal slippers also gave a sense of cleanliness and made a very good impression.In addition, there is a bakery in the neighborhood that opens early in the morning, so I had no trouble with breakfast and had a comfortable stay. I'd love to stay again.Thank you!

I was here for a few nights and really enjoyed my stay. The hostel was clean and neat with a beautiful interior. The staff was very friendly and they were always ready to help out. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this place for all backpackers who are looking for some calm days in Kyoto

Really friendly host and comfy bed. Maybe bring earplugs though cause the beds make sound if you're below someone stirring around it's hard to sleep.Also some rude people banging on the stairs and playing their videos out loud but that's not the Airbnb fault. I just was too shy to tell them to be quiet haha

I arrived 2 hours earlier than check-in time. The masseuse was just greeting another customer. I was so grateful that you kindly guided me in advance. The hot spring, a 6-minute walk away, is a great place to relax during your 5-night stay. I used it every day. The whole quiet village and most of the places I walked and walked, covering over 20,000 steps a day. The whole atmosphere of the house is During the day, quiet music flows as BGM The overall fragrance of the wood was good. During 4 nights in a good value accommodation There was nothing uncomfortable. However, at night, it feels a little cold. The air conditioning breeze was cool. Thanks to the kind host, Ms. Martha I had a very good experience. I plan to visit again in the fall.
