Great place to stay with beautiful view and a great space outside for the kids to play

Absolutely loved our stay at Cliff House with Jacquline. Beautiful location, swimming pool was such a bonus for the children, they loved it! The grounds were fantastic, such a lot to explore, our children loved the chickens and climbing frame and the private wood was great for hide and seek. Jacquline was such a great, friendly host and gave us great advice about visiting York. She even arranged an Easter egg hunt for our children. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend.

Had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend at Salty Kisses with my family. The house was clean, well equipped and in a great location. Joanne was a very good host and emailed all the information I needed. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful place to relax with friends. Really enjoyed the terrace and the views. Comfortable beds. A very attractive holiday park estate with a great feel. So close to the beaches and beach cafe. Richard very responsive and helpful. A perfect week.

The place was lovely, a short walk to the lovely beach was the main draw. A good location to explore nearby towns by car. The additional of the on site swimming pool was great. The house the comfortable and great space for the 4 of us. Andree was very friendly and knew if we needed anything we could get in touch. Thanks.

Great location! perfect for beach, dog walks and bus to Scarborough /Filey etc. if not driving. Caravan had everything we needed including dishwasher/air fryer/microwave and plenty of dishes/cups/glasses/ cutlery etc. Kim was a very responsive host. Situated near shop playground and pool it’s in ideal spot on the site. Car can be parked right across from caravan so easy to walk on grass to/from caravan.

Perfect little place to stay at for visiting Whitby. Very easy to walk to the town centre and very peaceful with fantastic scenery of the river and viaduct.

The house was perfect for my 50th celebration with family ( 6 adults, 6 kids and one dog), the garden lovely, the hot tub was used many times by all and the pool was great. Huge living room to fit us all in while still feeling spacious. Great communication with our fabulous hosts, house has everything, would highly recommend and would come again.

Arriving at larpool viaduct to Bridgett's House nestling underneath was just perfect!.. beautiful surroundings and so quiet! ducks on tap! quacking! the house was so nice.. everything you needed at hand.. a home from home! bliss to sit and have a cuppa tea and enjoy the view on one of 2 balconies! a perfect stay with my family! would highly recommend Bridgett's beautiful home! would definitely go back!... p.s. the Yorkshire water is great for a cuppa tea! p.p.s great big mugs for tea which we loved cause we're tea jennies! vinegar in the cupboard! proper! p.p.p.s we got to watch the latest series of the white lotus with the very generous inclusion of SKY! thanks Bridgett!

This was an amazing house in the heart of medieval York. Not only that, but the house itself is 700+ years old and you can feel it's character through the amazing renovation that has been done! The Minster is visible from the windows of the property, so you know that the views are just breathtaking. There are plenty of amazing shops, cafes, restaurants, and other businesses in walking distance, while the world-famous Shambles street and market is 5 minutes away. Can't recommend this more.

This is a haven of tranquility. Walk through the doors and you feel at home. So beautifully decorated, absolutely perfect in every way. We are keen cooks, love to spend time in the kitchen making meals and enjoying company of friends. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with all you need. Peter is an outstanding host and offers support instantly. We had a slight glitch with the internet (not Peter’s fault!) and he was so helpful and supportive. We love the place. Seriously LOVE! We will be back and look forward to being back!

We really enjoyed our stay, location was great for Whitby and surrounding areas moors. Did the walk into central Whitby which took around 20 mins with the kids, also used the park and ride which is close by. House was clean and plenty of space for our family of 5. Lisa was responsive and recommended a great walk. It was our first time to this coastline and I’m sure will be back!

Amazing location, easy walk up onto the moors or into Rosedale along the river valley. Beautifully restored and fitted out. Everything tool you could possibly need was provided in the kitchen. Peaceful seating area out the back and we loved seeing the rabbits and hearing the owls.

We had a lovely 2 night stay. The house is lovely, great to have 2 en suites! The house is decorated nicely, the sofa and beds are comfortable, the duvets were so snuggly, I want one the same! Everything was lovely and clean. Good location, we walked into Whitby each day. Lovely to have a garden and the driveway was handy too. We would definitely stay again :)

Amazing stay! Ben was a really attentive host who was helpful and communicative. The house was spotless and very well equipped. The rooms were spacious and the sofa was so comfy!!! We were in Scarborough for a gig at the open air theatre and it was in the perfect position for the venue. We hope to come back again.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay at The Barn. The property was immaculate, beautifully furnished and very well equipped. The garden as well as the house was spacious and both felt very private and tastefully appointed and allowed us a relaxing and comfortable stay. The location was perfect for exploring this part of North Yorkshire where there is so much to see and do.

The place is in a fantastic location with beautiful views across the harbour. The rooms are spacious, clean and homely. Great pub The Cod and Lobster has a great selection of beers and a huge Gin list. The food there is fantastic and reasonably priced. We will be going back next year and looking forward to staying at the Old Watch House again!!

Beautiful cottage. Great care had been taken with the decor, fittings and appliances and everything was in perfect working order. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. There was a lovely welcome message when we arrived and some delicious ginger biscuits were waiting on the kitchen counter. The cottage is ideally situated with just a two minute walk to the cliff top coastal path and a short drive to the RSPB Reserve at Bempton Cliffs where we achieved our goal of seeing puffins . I am so pleased I chose this particular property

We had a lovely short break. The cottage is located perfectly for visits to the coast and local towns and villages. The courtyard garden was secure for the dog and lovely to sit in the sunshine. The cottage had everything we needed and Adrian was really helpful. Thank you for having us.

In a very idyllic spot. Some lovely walks around but some steep gradients also. Stones throw (10 min drive) to Whitby and surrounding coastlines. Accommodation perfect for what we needed. Cooked a lot there which was great. There were internet issues during our stay but host was on it straight away. It was I nice spot to switch off and just be. Ideally for outdoor enthusiasts.

Where to begin?! We initially wanted to book Dovedale House for the whole family but after contacting Fran, she explained that one of the beds would be too small for 2 adults.. fear not! Fran contacted the B&B next door and got my in-laws booked in there, problem solved! The house was absolutely immaculate and pristine. It really was a home from home! There really isn’t anything more I can say, it was just PERFECT! We really enjoyed sitting on the swing in the mornings with a cuppa and watching the cows and deer in the field opposite. Dovedale House really is a gem and I would recommend to anyone visiting the area. Huge thankyou to Fran for everything you did to make this trip happen for us. The Aitkens, Scotts and Forresters xx

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely, spacious, well equipped & clean house, with a generous garden & secluded feel. The uninterupted views are spectacular; the terrace is the perfect place to sit & relax in peace & quiet. The living space is well considered; the kitchen area is large and well equipped, a pleasure to work in. The bedrooms are a good size. There was always a good supply of very hot water, even with two showers running at once. Less agile people, like us, may have trouble carrying luggage and groceries down the 16 steps to the front door, & also with the very low beds in the main bedrooms, & low sofas in the lounges. The en-suite bathrooms are tiny: their showers are big enough & work well, but the hand basins & lighting are too poor for shaving & brushing teeth, putting extra pressure on the family bathroom. There were no operating instructions for any of the appliances, or central heating. The plusses far outweigh the minuses & we would be happy to return.
