Beachfront holiday rentals in South Kona

This place is lovely! we felt right at home immediately & would absolutely stay here again. It is very well-stocked and comfortable. The beds were comfortable & the house was very clean. We loved sitting outside on the lanai for breakfast, listening to the fountain. It was so nice to have chairs, mats and snorkel equipment available for use. Stuart has clearly thought of everything!

We enjoyed our stay at Nico and Sarah's condo. It was a convenient location and had everything we needed. Nico and Sarah were responsive to our questions. I would stay here again.

Our family ranging from 77 to 7 all agreed that the house exceeded our expectations. We appreciated the quiet setting with lots of places to walk {I think grandpa, walked them all}, the fully equipped kitchen, and the pool (of course). My grand daughter named the resident geckos and gave them all a fond goodbye. We had to drag our 16-year old off Magic Sands beach. We all enjoyed several snorkeling spots and splurged on a Fair Winds "Kona’s Best Morning Snorkel: Captain Cook & Kealakekua Bay." Many thanks.

Off the beaten path kind of location. Not in a commercial area, so very quiet location. Beautiful views all day! Place has been well kept. Slept to the sounds of waves every night and woke up to sunrises. Janice strives to make you feel right at home. place had games, beach stuff (boogie board, chairs, mats, beach games, cooler). These are the tropics so expect some bugs; no escaping that. Host is very responsive and takes care of anything that may happen.

One of my favorite AirBnB stays ever! It was a magical place, designed so thoughtfully. I felt deeply connected to the beautiful tropical farm and natural garden surroundings, yet had all of the conveniences to be totally comfortable. It was such a pleasure to wake up to a chorus of birdsongs and gentle warm breeze blowing through the loft windows. The garden shower was also amazing. Melissa and Jeff were so friendly, and I felt at home instantly. I cannot recommend this place more for a retreat in nature!

Absolutely stunning accommodations! The unit is impeccably clean (and I have exceptionally high standards of what "clean" actually means!), perfectly situated, has amazing views, and the hosts were extremely responsive. If one is sensitive to heat/warm weather and uncomfortable without AC, be prepared, as there is no AC and it did get very hot (there are plenty of fans throughout the unit for those who can manage with just fans and a breeze from the ocean). I would highly recommend this unit to others; it was a fantastic stay...the only problem was we couldn't stay longer. Mahalo Ron & Chris 🌺

Beth was a terrific hostess! She always responded warmly to us. Her home and lanai are amazing! And the EASY walk to Manini Beach was the huge cherry on top. Thank you Beth for the use of all the beach toys and snorkel gear!!

We only stayed for a couple nights but wish it could have been longer! Perfect location, clean cozy place, and every detail was thought of. Would definitely come back!

I don't feel that I can adequately express how awesome our stay was. Absolutely stunning views. Peaceful surroundings. Cute cats. The house, pool, and gardens are all very well cared for. Brad and Susan are lovely to chat with and offered many great local recommendations. As cliché as it sounds, we will 100% be returning.

Easy check-in, clean, and the pictures are accurate. Has a beautiful view on the lanai. The only downside is that it's not walkable to downtown Kona but there are some food trucks and other places pretty close. Overall, it was a great stay.

We had a great time in Michael’s condo. The complex itself could use a bit of updating, but the location of Michael’s unit and the lanai were amazing. Michael had clearly thought of everything guests might need. We made good use of the cooler, chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. We didn’t do serious cooking, but there was everything we could have wished for to accommodate our minimal prep breakfasts and dinners. Air conditioners in The bedroom and living room were great options for keeping things cool, but my preferred way was to keep the sliding doors to the lanai open and use the fans both in the lanai and in the living room area to keep cool air moving. The pool and hot tub were nice to have a few times over a week, but mostly we were in or near the ocean.

Jenna’s place was beautifully designed and in a great location. She paid attention to details and the condo had everything needed!

The location is perfect—quiet yet close to the city center, supermarkets, and tours. The gardens, pools (especially the saltwater one), and stunning sunset views with bird sounds were breathtaking. The thick walls ensured no neighbor noise, and the respect for quiet hours made for peaceful nights. The comfy sofa, bed, and high-quality toiletries added to the experience, and the well-equipped kitchen and convenient elevator were much appreciated. Thank you for a fantastic stay—we’d love to return!

Great location. Close to everything. Had everything we needed. Watched surfer surfing every morning. Highlight of the stay, saw a turtle at the beach right in front of the house two mornings in a row.

This was my second stay here. Condo has been updated beautifully since my last stay in 2022. Stephen and Amber go above and beyond with extra touches. Felt very at home!

The apartment was beautiful! The view was exactly as the photo depicted. The place was organized, clean, and was supplied with almost everything and anything we needed. Overall, it was a great place to stay!

The Oceanfront Bungaloha was one of our favorite Airbnb locations we have ever stayed at. It was very cute, and well appointed. The views were spectacular, especially the sunsets. The ocean breeze kept the place cool enough. Great snorkeling less than 50 yards away. A beautiful, sleepy little town to get away from it all. Great location to get to volcanos national park and black and green sand beaches. 2 recommendations: a 4 wheel drive vehicle to explore (we used Turo) and big spray. Those suckers will get you after dusk. We will stay here again!

We had an unforgettable experience staying at this beautiful cliffside Airbnb near Kehena Black Sand Beach. The house is perched right on the edge of the cliffs, offering absolutely stunning, unobstructed ocean views. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of waves crashing against the rocks was surreal. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We specifically chose this place for the views, and it exceeded all expectations. Amber was a fantastic hostess—super responsive, thoughtful, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with jaw-dropping scenery and the soothing sounds of the ocean, this is the place. Highly recommend it—we’ll definitely be back!

Very responsive, and kind! Loved my stay at this Airbnb, the weather wasn’t that great for my visit but the Airbnb made it better! View was great, looked just like the pictures!

Just book this place! You won’t regret a moment of listening to the waves crashing on the shore or enjoying the coqui frogs singing at night. The view is spectacular, and the home itself had everything we needed or even wanted. It’s truly a peaceful oasis, away from the action, but close enough to enjoy local eateries and shops. The black sand beach was only a 8 minute walk, and we went multiple times a day. The winds can get intense on the deck at times, and it rains some each day. However, we didn’t mind either fleeting inconvenience, since the living room had great views out every window. Still spent a ton of time on the lanai enjoying the ocean sounds and view. From an accessibility perspective, the shower/tub is a huge soaker and might be hard to get in and out of. Otherwise there were minimal stairs to the main level, and the flow of the home is so easy to maneuver. We didn’t use the upstairs bed this stay. We are looking forward to staying here again soon. Hilo Shangrila is a stunning, private oasis that provides the glory of the ocean without the busy crowds. We loved sitting on the cliffs and watching the sea turtles! Also had a few crabs and a mongoose while we sat and watched the waves. We also enjoyed being able to swim and look at the ocean at the same time! Amazing! The hot tub was fabulous as well, especially after getting out of the pool. The place is private which was fantastic! One neighbor doesn’t live there and the other keeps to themselves for the most part. There are a few people who come and stand and walk across the cliffs from nearby rentals but they don’t stay long and they move on quickly. We enjoyed the birds, and watching the geckos. The coqui frogs can be a bit much for those used to extremely quiet places when we sleep but we were usually tired enough from enjoying the day that it didn’t matter. Beautiful Maku’u Point was right up the road as well! The only bad part is having to use fans and ac machines. A+

Fantastic location right on the ocean with beautiful views from the lanai. Incredibly clean apartment, and perhaps the best-appointed and well-stocked AirBnB that we've stayed in. Easy walk to local beaches, and a short trip into downtown Kona.
