Cabin holiday rentals in Sylva

We had a wonderful family time at Parker’s cabin. Has everything you may need to enjoy your time in the secluded woods of NC. Very private but with all the amenities you may need. Internet was good and the place very comfortable. It was quite rainy during our stay but we had no issues staying in and enjoying the hot tub from time to time. Would fully recommend this place to any one. Thank you Parker!

We searched for a cabin for a long time, and in the end got tired of all the options and just picked this one. From the moment we entered we know we had made a great choice and we ended up booking an extra night. The cabin is supercosy and well organized, the view is amazing. There is one cabin at like 60 meters away or something but when you look out on your deck you feel like you're all alone in the world and it's a wonderful feeling. I can 100% recommend staying here.

A beautiful space. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and had all our needs within reach with no issues to speak of. Waynesville was a treat and so was our stay. I was really inpressed with how cool the interior of the airbnb was.

Very peaceful and relaxing. There are several houses nearby, but privacy was not an issue. The view was amazing! It is a one lane drive from the road 1 mile up to the house and extremely curvy, but road is paved all the way to the the house. We enjoyed our stay very much!

If you want a magnificent setting--secluded, beautiful--you simply can't do better. We spent five nights here and happily would have spent many more. You cannot see another property from this house, which is tucked into the side of a mountain. The house itself is well-stocked and well-maintained. If this is the "kind" of place you're looking for (nature, quiet, beauty, but on the luxurious side too), you won't do better than this.

Me and my husband searched for the perfect romantic getaway for our late honeymoon/ 1 year anniversary. When we came across Knotty But Nice we were sold! The view was immaculate, pictures do not do justice. The house was extremely clean and cozy. The hot tub was clean and so relaxing. Overall peaceful and private! The drive up was pretty scary the first time, I’m definitely glad that we had an SUV! But 10/10 recommend! We are already planning another trip in the fall. Thanks Dana & Trish! 😊

Excellent host! We loved the place and the extras that the host thought of were great. We always come prepared with extra paper goods but they had us stocked for the week! Cabin was very clean and the outdoor area was excellent! Hearing kids play outside in the area was great for us because the laughter brightened our day (you just don’t see outside play much anymore). Tim and Merle were very responsive and were very helpful when we enjoyed ourselves so much we added a day to our stay!! LOVE THE CABIN AND ITS OUTDOOR AREA!! Highly recommend this cabin and host!

Had a very peaceful few days in the shooting star lodge. Such a lovely place to relax and be surrounded in peace by nature. Very quiet and the cabin was extremely homely and we felt relaxed as soon as we walked in the door. Host was great with very clear instructions for arrival and on hand if we needed anything else. Recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in this part of the smokies.

This is the perfect Airbnb for a vacation in the mountains! I have stayed here twice and will be back again! The house is very comfortable and has everything you need. Sitting in the hot tub at night is very relaxing and you can see so many stars out. Be sure to explore all of the waterfalls in the area to!

This cabin was the perfect weekend getaway with stunning views and true mountain home feel! Gina provided an extensive list of recommendations ranging from local restaurants to great hikes. Also having a home where I could bring my dog was a huge plus! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

If you need a place to get away from the traffic and everyday obligation of work and just need a peaceful reset, this is the place. From the beautiful scenery surrounding you and the sound of the river below, you can feel the stress melt away. The cabin was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Catherine is a great host and very accommodating. We will definitely book again when we need to recharge and plan on trying to book in the fall because this place has to look amazing when the leaves start changing colors. Thanks again Catherine for a wonderful place and can’t wait to come see you and this wonderful place again.

Heather’s place was a little slice of heaven! If you are looking for peace, beauty, and still close to town this is perfect! I felt like I could stay there forever!! It was the perfect place to relax after an AT section hike! Highly recommended!!

Beautiful, peaceful home with spectacular views! We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the evening. It was a perfect place for our family getaway.

The cabin is in a peaceful, secluded location. There are neighbors around, but it is hard to tell for the most part. The road to get up to the place i could see as challenging in certain weather or vehicles, but the directions are very descriptive and on point. We were able to enjoy the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, the city of Cherokee, Bryson city, and Maggie Valley, as well as go searching for waterfalls near Highland. The area is beautiful no matter which direction you go! Most favorite restaurants during the trip was Highlands Smokehouse in Highlands for some amazing brisket and Circle H Chophouse in Cherokee, NC--bonus points for this one due to watching elk walk right by the windows while dining! Overall, it was a great place to stay. The host is super responsive with any questions or concerns and active in ensuring that you have a great experience!

This cabin is the perfect getaway for a couple and their pup! It was very clean, easily accessible, and a reasonable distance from lots of beautiful hikes.

I was impressed of how spacious the home was on the inside and all of the amenities were perfect too!

We had a wonderful family weekend here and made memories to last a lifetime! The cabin is charming, cozy, and just the right size for a family of 5. I had a last minute addition and Homestead Haven Realty was exceptionally quick to respond and accommodate the change. We were really looking forward to making s’mores in the fire Pitt… unfortunately the weather would not cooperate. But, we did take advantage of the many games the host provided. I would not hesitate for a moment to book this cabin again and hope to do so in the near future!

We really needed a place to recover after exploring the river and looked on air bnb for something affordable and Ryans listing worked out perfectly. We brought our dog with us and she was comfortable in the cabin while we went to dinner. It really came in handy. The community kitchen was really cool, fully stocked with utensils, spices, coffee, etc we were able to make a delicious breakfast before we checked out.

Beautiful place. The pictures don’t do it justice. The views were amazing!!! The road is very steep (which they warned us about) but it was fine during light hours. I wouldn’t have wanted to arrive at night. The place was worth it though. Also, they were very well stocked and made it easy to cook-in. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy a peaceful getaway!

Nice relaxing stay for our daughters WCU graduation weekend. We loved the cabin and property. A little word of advice about the driveway though. A VERY steep incline up the side of a mountain and entrance is a little tricky for lower to the ground vehicles. I would advise a pickup truck or suv to come here with. We would definitely stay here again.

Would stay again for quick visits to Sylva/WCU. It was very peaceful and quiet and in a friendly neighborhood just outside of WCU. The place was spacious and nice, and lots of area outside for our small dog.

Our second visit to this peaceful cabin. The hosts are wonderful and made the trip extra special for our birthday girl. We explored nearby towns of Dillsboro and Bryson. Wonderful restaurants and local shops. We drove ‘the tail of the dragon’ on our route in. Loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the view. Looking forward to coming again.

Julie's place never disappoints as this is our 3rd year staying there & already booked for our 4th. Everything is spotless, we feel some comfy & cozy. I love sitting & listening to the wild life & stream in back.

Great stay with great hosts! Everything was as promised! Clean and very responsive. We will be back!
