Welcome to this unique and tranquil getaway, a little gem, 2 minutes to the sea. The area offers many hiking trails, fantastic nature where animals and people meet after the sea coast. The accommodation consists of a newly built Atterfall and a newly renovated Friggebod 2023, 2 beds in each house, with shared toilet and shower and kitchen. Bed linens and towels are included. The island has grocery stores, a health center and a pharmacy. Golf course with 18 holes. The island is rich in culture, flea markets, small shops and places to eat.

The cottage on the island

At the far end of the Västerhavet is the island of Tjörnekalv. You can easily get there by bus and/or train from Gothenburg. By car, you park in Rönnäng and take the ferry to the island. Around the island there is the possibility of saltwater swimming, climbing mountains, catching crabs, experiencing species-rich nature. There are no stores on the island so you need to bring the supplies you need. You can order groceries from Dyröboden. They arrive by ferry the following day. Here you also find a small beach and rocks to bath from. Ryskärjsfjorden is famous for its kayaking and also on the winter for its ice skating (when it gets cold). Its 30 km till Gothenburg and 24 km to Marstrand (9 km with boat) (beautiful summer island). Newly refurbished small guesthouse with room for up to four people.

After a full day of sun and swimming on the beach which is about 50 meters away, you go down the stairs to the slightly cooler bedroom with a 160 bed.
