The annex is located at an angle to the carport/tool shed and is in the garden. There are 4 beds, two on the loft and two on the sofa bed. Duvets/pillows/linens/towels/dishcloths are for free use. There is the possibility of borrowing a washing machine/dryer, and the greenhouse is for free use, however, together with the host couple. The home is located about 2 km from the fjord and forest and 8 km from Juelsminde.

You can also go to Snaptun, from where ferries sail to the peaceful islands of Hjarnø and Endelave – perfect for a day out in nature.

Forest outside the door, hiking trails along Horsens fjord and to Trustrup lookout hills. 2 km to a small local beach and 15 km to the good east coast beaches at Saksild. Good local farm shops and exhibitors of handicrafts. 12 km to Odder with a movie theater, good restaurants and shopping. The home is best suited for two people - if you are not a family. You can relax in an outdoor hot tub (from April to October). If you have children, there are swings, a zip line from the forest, a trampoline, basketball, soccer goals and plenty of opportunities for outdoor games. Dyrekærhuset is well-suited for retreats. Here you live in the countryside and yet close to everything. Ideal as a starting point for cycling and walks in nature, a trip to the beach or to visit Aarhus, Horsens or Skanderborg. Only 4 minutes from Hovedgård by car, where there are grocery stores, take aways and a pharmacy. The apartment is also very suitable for a good night's sleep after a course or temporary work nearby.
