Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Watauga River

This was the nicest and cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Jeff and Bunny checked in on us and were very responsive. It took our breath away from the moment we turned into the driveway. Very close to Boone and West Jefferson which was great. We were also able to bring our pups which was a huge bonus! We were not ready to leave. We will be going back soon!!

I stay in a lot of airbnbs when I travel. This is by far my favorite. It had the original hardwood floors, but everything else was updated to accommodate my needs. It was in a neighborhood, but it was very quiet. You could hear the birds sing. I hope it's available the next time I come through town.

What an amazing place to settle down and unwind! Natalie’s response time with all of our questions was immediate and immaculate! We absolutely LOVED the location! We were so sad to go. The space was clean, smelled great, and we walked into the home with peaceful music. We are so glad that we got to experience what we want in our future. The most peaceful, private, and positively gloomy trip we have ever had and have ever wanted. The fire stove was a wonderful addition and was fun to use, as well as the sauna! We will definitely come back again, it was just everything we have ever wanted! Thank you Natalie! :)

Such. A cute house, decor was awesome. Perfect for our needs. Backyard was perfect- we built a fire and enjoyed a relaxing evening! Had coffee on front porch and was so close to everything we needed. So happy to bring our four legged family member!

I rented Ralph’s place for my son and myself as a little weekend getaway. We enjoyed our stay very much! The house was cozy and the views were incredible! Ralph is an excellent host. Very responsive and friendly.

This home is exactly as advertised and our host, Hugo, was extremely responsive. The instructions were detailed and check out was a breeze without complicated to-do lists. The highlights of this listing for our family were the foosball table/ arcade games, peaceful dining room with wooded views and well appointed space (coffee maker with pods, extra towels/pillows/blankets, laundry pods, for pit, etc.). We would definitely return!

We really enjoyed our stay! Great spot for families, very private and peaceful. Good location, close to all the hiking, fishing and things to do in Boone. Appreciated the instructions on all the appliances. Connie was very accommodating and responsive. Would love to come back another time, especially with the pool opening up with the warmer weather!

We had a wonderful stay at Matt’s cabin! The cabin was clean, cozy, and perfectly suited for our getaway. Our stay at The Summit at Peaceful Peak was wonderful! Jennifer & Travis are amazing hosts! Extremely friendly & inviting. They even welcomed us with music playing when we walked in. Super cool! Maple & Phoenix are an added pleasure! The view of the mountains is beautiful. The house is immaculate! There isn’t one accommodation you can think of that the house doesn’t already provide. The kitchen is a chef’s dream! We enjoyed the pool & hot tub. Giant Jenga was fun, too! And, seeing the wildlife while we were there reminded us of home. We had an amazing weekend here & the kids have requested this be our permanent TN retreat! We absolutely recommend Peaceful Peak & hope to return soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place was so peaceful and relaxing. We fished directly off the deck and could see the fish from there also. We attempted to find the steps down to the water a few homes over but we weren’t able to locate them. We loved that the home was back off the road but still very close to town and many local places. The neighborhood was very quiet and well maintained. Everything exceeded our expectations for the home and location!! The only suggestion I can give is for a WELCOME binder with lists of local restaurants and other attractions and clear instructions to the steps down to the water. Also, include a checkout checklist. And maybe a book for all visitors to sign and leave a word about their visit and where they are visiting from! Just ideas I have seen in other past rental homes! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave!

Great peaceful place to stay. We had an absolute blast while we were there. It is absolutely beautiful. Lance was a great host and made you feel right at home. You would never even know he was there if he hadn’t come out and met you the place is absolutely beautiful if you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay, you can’t go wrong staying here. It is beautiful. Words can’t describe how beautiful it was there and what was even more amazing two jets flew right over where we were staying at at a very low altitude. I meant words can’t describe when you see that and also the wildlife was everywhere. A deer walked up within 20 feet of us. We loved our stay and we were going back in October.

Very nice peaceful place, great for a family get together. 35 minutes to Boone. Beautiful home. We really enjoyed our time there. Would definitely recommend it. Host is very responsive.

Tranquil beautiful setting. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to a babbling Creek and enjoying the cool fresh Mountain Air. Enjoyed a stroll by the pond and watched the frogs and a chipmunks frolic. Very comfortable rooms and beds. Nicely furnished with comfortable seating and kitchen at all the needed amenities. Will definitely return again soon.

The home was much larger than I anticipated and is very private for a guest house. The sound of the creek was amazing and so was the rain on the roof. We made use of the kitchen which was well equipped. The property hiking trail is steep, but enjoyable. There are a some trees down due to Helene, but it was pretty nonetheless. The pigs and chickens were a delight and a good highlight to the stay. Over all very peaceful and relaxing. Also: The host was very helpful when there was a road closure, he directed us to an alternative route to town.

Super clean, great location, very peaceful! Such a beautiful place to stay if you are looking to get away from. Situated great for hiking and exploring local towns. Lance was very friendly, tagged along everywhere with us and was very interested in the dogs!

The A-frame was exactly as described. Kitchen was well stocked, appreciate the coffee! Beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels, etc. we wished we had time for one more night here to enjoy all the board games!

Had a good time even though weather not great. Lots of card games. Lengthy drive if you want to go to places north on 321 as took us 48 minutes to get to Marina due to the road situation so know where you need to go and plan accordingly though road might open soon.

We had a great time during our stay. The house was close enough to Asheville and plenty of things to do. The host and lots of great recommendations for food and hiking. We drove to upper creek falls and it was well worth the drive and hike.

Great place to stay in a smaller neighborhood just outside the little bit of hustle and bustle that is Elizabethton. Great location to town, 5 - 10 minutes from anything you could need. Christina was a great host! Reached out just often enough to not be annoying. 😂. She was very responsive as well when I had questions, and even allowed a couple of modifications to our stay. Couldn't ask for more. Side note: the only downside (and by no means Christina's 'fault') was that her neighbors have very reactive dogs & unfortunately, my dogs are reactive as well. Just means we didn't get to enjoy the backyard as much as we would have liked. But again, absolutely not something she can/could control. 5/5 stay.
