We had a last minute trip and had to bring our dog with us. Great pet friendly place, warm and cozy space, very comfortable. Nicholas was very accommodating, great dog park across the road, 10 minutes to the city. Perfect for our needs. Appreciated the dog bowls provided and dog treat as well as breakfast cereal and fruit.

Staying in Danielle's condo was a great decision for Wellington.Its right in the heart of things with shopping, cafes, restaurants, the marina all in walking distance. Danielle provided lots of local recommendations that we found incredibly useful. This is one of the coolest places I've stayed in. The records, the furniture, the plants and balcony, the art - it's all meticulously curated. What a find! It's definitely a family home, so it has signs of that an active family lives there, but who cares? I feel really grateful that they're willing to share this amazing place with strangers bc it was a really awesome stay.

Windows on Wellington

Amelia is the perfect host! She found us a flexible solution even when it seemed like there wasn’t one. The House of Windows is one of the most creative and impressive homes I’ve stayed in — not just in New Zealand, but anywhere in the world. Perched high on a hill above the bay, it’s the perfect place to relax, work out, and do yoga. It’s clear that a lot of thought and effort went into every corner of the house. Amelia took amazing care of us — she sent us wonderful recommendations and even helped us find a babysitter, which was truly above and beyond. If there’s one place I’d return to for a long holiday and a coffee with an incredible woman — it’s this house (: We honestly didn’t want to leave.

Thanks to all the previous guests and reviewers who persuaded us to make the wise decision to make the booking at Karaka Cottage. It's hard to add much more to what you all wrote. The opportunity to stay here shouldn't be missed. Rob and Jill have perfectly updated a 1950's cottage into a contemporary dream while maintaining its history. And on top of that they organised 2 weeks of beautiful weather while the rest of the island was dealing with a cyclone.

Beautiful and peaceful and wroth every penny. Perfect for anyone who loves horses. The unit is well equipped and the bed is fantastically comfortable. We also went horse riding. Andrew and Laura were very accommodating and it was a great experience. We will be back.

This was home away from home. I could park onsite (which I had wanted.) The kitchen was very handy, next door to the room. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. I really appreciated the heat pump and extra blanket in the room as it was very cold in Wellington (the first day of winter.) The TV subscriptions (all of them) were great! The hosts were very generous with food and drink options. Thank you for breakfast! I appreciated the offer of the massage chair. I was aching after a long car journey from home to Wellington. I had my privacy the whole time, which I really appreciated. I would love to stay again, but for longer next time. Thank you for an outstanding, welcoming stay :)
