Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Wells-next-the-Sea

We have stayed in many Airbnb's in this country and abroad but this place in Tatterford was by far and wide the best we have ever had the pleasure of booking and staying in. Everything exceeded our expectations and we loved every minute we spent there.

We had a very enjoyable stay in Twixt. The cottage was a perfect location and with the amazing weather it was great not having to go far in the car! We loved the quay and the walk to the beach, along with sampling food at the many local pubs and restaurants. Our dog Monty loved swimming in the water in the creek. We would definitely consider booking in again in the future.

This was a lovely and comfortable home for the 3 of us. Best part was the incredible outdoor garden and terrace. We enjoyed the games and books provided too. It was quiet and peaceful. Hannah was very friendly and responsive. Overall a great stay. One word of caution - the road passes very close by the front door, so it’s best to be very careful when exiting (especially for those who normally look left for traffic).

We have had a great mini break at Amy’s pretty flat. Lovely breakfast views down towards the coast across the lawn and salt marshes. Fun to see the muntjac deer on the lawn. Super location as only 15mns walk to the beach and 5mns to the Ship Inn where we had a superb meal. The flat is well equipped with a very comfy bed and a practical kitchen. It has a pleasant feel. Plenty to do in the area. We will be back !

Another fabulous stay at La Capanna. We walked on the nearby beach every day which was a big part of our holiday. We left feeling relaxed and rested. Will definitely be back again.

We booked Oak Barn to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary with all the family. We were blessed with a long weekend of beautiful weather. In fact it was so nice that we ate nearly all our meals al fresco in the garden which was fully enclosed meaning that our two dogs could wander in and out of the house. Rosie thoughtfully messaged us when we arrived to give us pointers on how to keep the house cool. The Barn is spacious and spotlessly clean with quality bed linen, towels and toiletries provided. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The layout in the house is perfect for extended or multigenerational families. It’s situated in a quiet country lane but within a few minutes you can be in Wroxham and the coast within half an hour. There was an excellent house manual with lots of suggestions for things to do but the weather was so warm that we tended to stay fairly local. All in all this was one of the best properties we have stayed in.

We had a wonderful stay at Horizon house. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. So close to the beach and amenities! Great having space for 2 cars off street parking too, made unloading/ loading much easier.

I stayed at Jess' lovely little place with my dogs whilst working in the area. The home is very nicely presented, modern and clean throughout and has all a solo visitor or couple would need for a few days. Very picturesque scenery around the area and the enclosed patio is also great for dogs. I was really grateful for the extra little treats that Jess left for me and done for the doggies too, as for one evening I had no vehicle and had no chance to get other food. Jess was very thoughtful and responsive as a host and even offered for me to check in earlier if I wanted. Would definitely recommend as a home and a host.

A little gem of an apartment in the delightful town of Sheringham. My husband and I enjoyed 4 nights there in June. The flat had everything required to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. Although very close to the town centre which had bars and restaurants it felt like a little hideaway in a peaceful location. It was also ideally located to visit other locations on the North Norfolk coast. We visited Holt and Cromer during our stay and found them both worth the visit. Jo was a great communicator and left lots of helpful information about the locality in the apartment. We would definitely recommend this place. Thank you Jo.

Lovely flat with really nice fixtures and fittings. Owners very responsive. Easy acces via key box and clear instruction. Great base if you want to see North Norfolk. If you don't, it's a very good location with pubs and takeaways within short walking distance.

The views from the apartments are just phenomenal at any time of day you can watch the world go by, see the sunrise and the sunset with a glass of wine in your own comfortable and private space. The location is set right on the promenade with your own parking space supplied by the booking and from there, you can walk everywhere in Cromer to all the facilities including pubs, restaurants, the pier, cafés, bars etc. Park the car and leave it there for your whole stay, Cromer has really good bus and train links up and down the coast. Excellent walking from the apartment across the coast paths: turn left and walk for about an hour for Craigie Bottoms restaurant (excelkent seafood) or turn right on the coast path and do a long circular walk towards Gunton (3-4hours) where there is spectacular countryside, easy walking and some fabulous country pubs. This apartment is of an excellent quality, perfectly located and the host is very friendly, would highly recommend for a quality stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Bianca's place! The apartment is very spacious, spotless clean and it has all that you need. We travelled with a 1 year old and we felt right at home. Highly recommended.

This was the best Airbnb I have stayed in. From the massive living room, with a hanging fireplace, limited edition prints, his&hers leather sofas, huge TV, wooden blinds filtering light through a wall of glass; the sunny balcony overlooking the pretty courtyard; the foodie's well-equipped and spacious granite&Smeg kitchen; the angular fully tiled bathroom; to the elegant bedroom with a high-end Tempur mattress, flint wall and rosewood furniture; everything was top quality and coolly designed with Nordic flair. Helene's recommendation of the Suffield Arms (creative modern tapas, good beer and wine) was excellent, as was Binham Dairy cafe. We also recommend Rocky Bottoms for crab and lobster, the Salthouse store for Dann's ice-cream, Cley-next-the-Sea Picnic Fayre store and Smokehouse, and Moon-gazer beer from many of the local pubs. Felbrigg garden, Blickling Hall, Holt's Sunday farmers market, and the ruins of Binham abbey were highlights for us. Thank you!

A return visit from 2 years ago revealed all the things we first enjoyed about Paul’s place remained and that the interior had been maintained to the same clean and bright standard as before. Well provisioned and a high standard of furnishings made us feel comfortable from the off. The very short walk into town and the beach is a real feature of this place. We will definitely return.

Spent an enjoyable week in this lovely apartment with fantastic sea views from every window. Really enjoyed watching the sunset over the sea on an evening. The apartment was spacious and well fitted out (even a full length mirror which most hosts do not provide). The whole apartment was spotless with an easy walk to shops and bars/restaurants. We decided to park in front of the apartments rather than using the underground garage as the access was a little tight for the larger car. We had no problems parking and generally a space was available along the street if we went out for the day. Check in went smoothly and it was very nice to have the use of a lift as we were on the second floor. There was renovation work going on in the children’s playground in front of the building but this wasn’t really a problem as the workers finished work at 4pm every day - sorry we never saw the finished playground before we left as think it will be a useful facility.

We had such a lovely stay. The flat is very clean, nicely decorated and the outdoor area is beautiful. The sauna was fab and we loved taking a dip in the water. Would definitely stay again!

This is the second time we've stayed at this apartment and we've really enjoyed both times. It is superbly located just off Cromer centre, so easy access to shops and restaurants, but also very quiet. The apartment is well appointed and spacious and feels very homely. Fran and David are responsive and friendly in their communication. Overall: excellent.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is so central and walkable from all the great spots in Norwich.

Fabulously stylish apartment, brilliant central Location. Superbly appointed: comprehensive kitchen utensils, really comfy beds and sofas. And when we asked for the bedding to be swapped out (our fault entirely, we forgot to Mention a feather allergy) the hosts came over within half an hour to make the change. I wholeheartedly and highly recommend this lovely apartment.

It was all so easy. One definite advantage was having a Sainsbury's within easy walking distance. When you fend for yourself, getting those food items etc are important. We were on a six week trip in Europe and had stayed at some ordinary hotels (lacking space) so to walk into Rob and Laura's unit was unbelievably satisfying. Thank you both for your advice and assistance.
