Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Westward Ho!

Just had 4 nights at the West Wing, it was well presented and had its own character and charm. We loved the surroundings and most definitely loved the fresh eggs for breakfast. The hosts were great and we immediately felt relaxed and at home. I would highly recommend a visit.

We had the most relaxing time at Janie’s beautiful Airbnb. It so so homely, comfortable and had everything we needed to have a wonderful minibreak. The kitchen is fully equipped and we loved playing scrabble on the comfy sofa and watching a film in the evening after walking on the nearby SW Coastpath. The bed is super comfy and the shower was great too! Would love to return sometime!

A blissful retreat, with absolutely stunning views. The Bothy is cozy and well kitted out, and the hosts are incredibly thoughtful.

Beautiful views, nice walk down to the beach, restaurants and a range of things by the beach. House was clean and perfect for a trip away for 8 of us.

Hannah and Heath were absolute stars! Can you imagine our embarrassment at turning up a day earlier than we had booked for?! Hannah and Heath came down to their lovely cottage and got it all prepared at speed for us! So kind and incredibly generous considering our blunder. The cottage was well furnished, very clean, and had all mod cons. There were very thoughtful additions of fresh flowers, a bottle of wine and some yummy chocolate treats. We were very comfortable there. The setting is absolutley beautiful and we were told that we could exercise our dog in the field behind the cottage. That was set out with a very large Children's Activity Centre that you might find in a play park. You could access the Tarka Trail via their land, which was great as we did some long walks along it, and stopped for refreshments at the Puffing Billy Cafe. We loved the cottage, it was everything and more! We would certainly like to return again for another stay and explore the area in more depth.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Clean, great views, peaceful setting and a perfect base for walking the south west coast path. Ken and Laura were excellent hosts and gave us lots of local information. We hope to return again soon. Highly recommend.

this was our second time staying at this cottage and it and it was as amazing as the first. we never stay at the same place twice, but we want to come back here every year. it's quiet and so beautiful and has access to the most amazing walks. Susan is also so kind and helpful.

Really a lovely and beautifully clean caravan, with towels and bedding and all the cleaning supplies etc so no need to bring too much from home. Stunning location you fall in love with straight away. Quiet in winter but you feel safe.

Very neat flat in the middle of Woolacombe. Pubs, restaurants, coffee houses and shops all within short walking distance. The are has so many walks and running routes as well as great swimming and surfing so great for active folk. Will definitely look to see if available again as this place is perfect for the area

Most amazing apartment - we were blown away with the spectacular views from every room . We walked to the beach with surfboards and a 4 year ! Absolute luxury- we will be back . Thank you

Leilas appartment has a lovely view of the harbour. The walk down is fairly steep so consequently so is the walk back. It’s a good central point for checking out North Devon.

We had an awesome couple of nights in Barbrook! The apartment is super spacious- much more so than photos would suggest- and has everything you need for a cosy and comfortable few days exploring Exmoor and the north Devon coast. Spa bath is a really fun touch and great after a day of walking. Amazing location with river and trees literally on your doorstep, and the sea and Lynton 5mins away. Overall this place is great value for money, and we would definitely stay again if in the area. Thanks for a great weekend!

Lovely two nights in this hidden gem. We were late bookers and delighted with location, accommodation and hosts. For the two of us and our hound it was perfect; we received a welcome greeting and the treats were a lovely surprise. Shame for us we only had two nights there.

Loved our stay. Beautiful apartment, absolutely spotless and had everything you could possibly need. Loved the area it was in- walkable distance from the High Street in Minehead yet very peaceful with great walks from the doorstep through streets of beautiful houses and amazing views. Was visiting our daughter and didn’t realise Minehead was such a nice town with beautiful places such as Lynmouth and Porlock pretty near. Thank you for such a lovely place to stay

Great 2 day break away. A bit dated, but had everything we needed and the bed was very comfy.

Rose Cottage is a lovely, old fashioned, quirky cottage - with lots of interesting objet d’art to discover throughout your time there. I loved how it is tucked away from the street, making it a really private space. Danielle was really informative about the surrounding areas and was on hand for queries. The living space downstairs is really relaxing (two of us learnt how to play chess in the lounge!) The outdoor space is really valuable as, I should imagine, in Appledore having a big garden is a real treat. The location is amazing - a minute’s stroll down to the quay - with the wonderful local shop, John’s, a stone’s throw away. We had fantastic weather, having lots of hot beach days in Croyde and Saunton Sands, but also loved catching the 5 minute ferry across to Instow village and beach. The attics bedrooms were a little warm (it was a very hot week), but Danielle kindly provided us with a fan which certainly helped on the top floor. Appledore is a magical place with beautiful cottages, great restaurants and Sylvester’s fish and chips are scrumptious - the first time I think I have ever managed to eat a whole battered cod! Thanks Danielle for a truly wonderful week’s holiday with the family.

Nile are a awesome man how help me a lot. My plan with the without the house couldn’t take me and my friends, so we were standing without anywhere to live thanks to Neil. My wife didn’t divorce me.

A madcap feast for the eyes! If you want a standard Airbnb filled full of IKEA then this place isn’t for you. If you want an authentic (and original) experience in a great location - then book it. Open fires, art, antiques, the sea all make up the DNA of Appledore and typify Myrtle Cottage as a microcosm of North Devon’s prettiest fishing village (that you don’t have to pay to visit!)

A Perfect Devon Escape – More Than We Could Have Hoped For! Our 3-day stay at this spacious North Devon villa was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the welcoming touches – including three bottles of wine that set the tone for a truly relaxing getaway. The kitchen was fully equipped, not just with all the essential utensils and appliances, but even stocked with some food items – a rare and thoughtful detail that made cooking a pleasure. Every corner of the villa is beautifully decorated, with stylish bedrooms and elegant dining areas that make you feel right at home. The highlight, though, has to be the stunning garden – a peaceful haven complete with comfortable garden furniture, hammocks, a garden cot with bedding, a grill, a cozy fireplace, and even a camping fire setup perfect for evening gatherings under the stars. We loved its quirkiness, but Weeke Barton is an old building with uneven floors and low ceilings and spiral staircases which were a challenge. The stairs didn’t defeat us, but they are tricky. The rooms are warm even when a log fire is needed, which is recommended, and the beds are very comfy. All the bedrooms are great and full of history and character, which is the same for the whole of Weeke Barton. The location is also ideal for exploring Dartmoor, for riverside running and good food pubs. There is enough to do locally when it rains, and perfect walks for when it’s sunny. The house was everything expected and more. The amenities were over and above and made it so easy to feel at home and enjoy our holiday. We were a group of friends including multiple couples and there was lots of social space to be together as a group but still be independent with big spacious well thought out rooms. The house would suits friends or family looking to stay together,is suitable for kids and the fact it was dog friendly was a bonus for our 4 legged friend. The location was perfect, a short walk to the harbour and the sea view was beautiful. I had the master bedroom on the first floor and waking up to those views was amazing. Oliver was a fantastic host, quick to respond or confirm anything I needed. I would 100% recommend this home and everyone that joined us said the same.
