A beautiful , wonderfully decorated house just a 20 min walk to the centre of York . Spotlessly clean and tidy and hosts went to the effort of adding an “ anniversary banner and balloons “ for us which was a lovely touch ( as well as Prosecco and sweet treats ) Hosts were fantastic and very responsive to our messages , we had a fantastic stay . Graeme has been an ordinary host. Everything was better than expected. He created a very cozy place, where we immediately felt at home. A great place for a stay in York. The home is created with lots of love to details and in walking distance (10min.) to downtown. We had a really good time here. Communication was very easy and helpful.

Silvia made our stay absolutely wonderful. She was very informative from the start. The home was very well maintained, clean and very tidy. We celebrated our anniversary during our stay and the personal added touches made a great start to our weekend away. Very thoughtful! The house was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The manual was very helpful and listed everything we needed to know about local amenities, aswel as having leaflets on what York had to offer. Would million percent recommend this host and there beautiful home. The home was in a good location and also offered parking. Check in and out was very easy and we had a very lovely time in York thanks to the amazing hosting of Silvia. Don't hesitate to book your stay here. An amazing beautiful house in a wonderful location! Stunning Victorian townhouse in a great location close to the centre and everything walkable. Lovely restaurants n your doorstep - would reccommend Valentino’s. The house has everything you need and if you have a little one, they literally have everything to keep them happy, books, playhouse, play kitchen, toys, literally everything. Great sized beds, beautiful lounge - me and my extended family had a great weekend. Hosts were really great, very helpful with lots of hints and tips for local places and places to visit. A perfect stay in York :-)

We had a fantastic stay at Paul’s Airbnb! Our family of four felt right at home — the space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Paul was incredibly responsive making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay in the area!

An amazing find! The house was so close to the city centre and, on a great little high street, it met all our needs! Allowing well-behaved dogs is really appreciated too. Sera was quick to reply to our communications, recommending great restaurants and coffee shops; the property exceeded our expectations and we would definitely book again the next time we’re in York. Lovely clean flat with all amenities-super extra touches with fresh flowers, milk, biscuits etc. Great local maps with information about shops, restaurants and attractions. In fact the whole experience really could not have been better!

I had a lovely stay here—very peaceful and comfortable. The accommodation is separate but close to the main house, so you occasionally see people passing the windows or working in the garden. Not a problem, just something to note. The bed was comfy, temperature perfect, and the shower worked great. There’s no kitchen, which made things a bit tricky. A microwave, toaster, and kettle are provided, but the toaster set off the fire alarm twice during my stay. And there’s no sink—so dishes have to be washed in the bathroom with no drying space. It’s a bit far from the city center, but the bus runs regularly (just not exactly as listed on Google—usually 5 minutes later). The listing was accurate about the location and facilities. I enjoyed my time here and would recommend this place to other travellers.

Lovely place, everything you could want. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, soft fluffy towels, great balcony. Really appreciated the milk,tea and coffee and cooking oil etc. Nicely laid out apartment with some personlised paintings on the walls We really enjoyed our stay would highly recommend.

Our stay in York was just what we wanted. The flat had everything we needed and provided a perfect location for visiting York with it being a short walk from the minster and town centre. The entire time Melanie was attentive, friendly and went above and beyond to provide detailed instructions for accessing the flat. Highly recommend this property and the host for a weekend away to explore the city!

Had a lovely stay at Johns. Very responsive with messages - sorry for sending so many 🤦🏻‍♀️ Beds were very comfortable, the additional pint of milk was very thoughtful - didn’t realise it would be there so stopped for our own on the way. Instructions were clear and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to explore York. Easy, peaceful walk to the city centre. Thanks for having us ! My mum loved her belated Christmas trip.

A perfect home from home - everything has been thought about what you could need. Perfect location, very close to bus routes into York but so peaceful to come back to after a busy day exploring. Great to have some basic provisions provided - the lemon cake gets a special mention, Jill was very kind to make it dairy free for my wife, extra delicious. A great place to stay and highly recommend!

Fabulous stay at Jo's place, spotlessly clean, had all the amenities and so peaceful. Loved watching the chickens in the gardens. Unfortunately didn't get to meet Jo in person, but all correspondence through Airbnb she promptly replied to. Thanks Jo, we would love to come back. ❤️

From booking our stay at Ashley’s apartment right through to check-out, our experience was excellent. Ashley was always responsive when we had a question both before and during our visit. The apartment was perfect for what we needed: clean, modern and within a 15 minute walk of York’s key landmarks, such as the cathedral and the Shambles. An absolute gem and would definitely look to book again when we next visit York. Thank you Ash for a wonderful stay!

We stayed for a single night while working for a couple of days in Leeds, much better than being in a busy city centre hotel. Cottage was clean and well equiped, host communicated well with easy access for our late evening arrival and early morning departure. Would return if we are in Leeds again.

Stayed overnight whilst in Scarborough for a concert at SCOAT. Five minutes stroll, perfect. Beautiful basement flat. Clean and cosy. Keith was a perfect host and I would recommend his Airbnb 100% Thank you for having us 🌞

Jackie’s spacious Airbnb was 5 star+. This was the best Airbnb we had stayed in. The location was peaceful and quiet. Jackie had thought of everything to make it feel like home. Beautifully and tastefully furnished. The kitchen had everything required to self cater. The basket of goodies was much appreciated. Very comfortable bed with extra pillows and crisp white linen. The large bathroom included a washing machine and a fabulous shower. Communication with Jackie was easy and she was quick to respond to my questions. I would highly recommend this Airbnb for anyone visiting York and it’s surrounds.

Highly recommended. We’ll certainly book again when visiting Malton.

Perfection!! Clive's place is a wonderful place to stay. Clive and Julie are great hosts, friendly, helpful, accommodating and very welcoming. The welcome 'goodies' were very appreciated and tasty. The unit is very tastefully decorated and well appointed, the bed is super comfy and the shower is large with good water pressure. The outdoor area is a real delight, we sat and watched the ducks, the other birds (saw kingfishers!) and the squirrels. We had everything we needed for a happy, memorable stay. There are lots of walks in the area, plus a number of interesting things to see and do. It's an easy train ride to York, Harrogate and Leeds and the station is a short walk from the unit. There are a lot of pubs and cafes within easy walk - The Half Moon pub does delicious pizza! Overall, we very highly recommend Clive's unit and would return often if we could.

Excellent apartment, we stayed for the week as we were going to a wedding in Harrogate. The apartment was so central to everything, the bus station, the train station, and the main shopping area. The apartment itself was equipped to the highest standard, and the extras Maureen provided were a lovely touch. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting this area. And I would certainly book this place again when visiting Harrogate. Thank you to the host Maureen, your home was beautiful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shambles Secret. Jenny proved to be a first class host, who went above and beyond to make her guests happy; we cannot thank her enough. The flat was exactly as depicted in the pictures, lovely and cosy and a real home from home. We slept really well, and although the flat is right in the centre of York, it was remarkably quiet. We enjoyed our time in the flat as much as we did sightseeing in fabulous York. Shambles Secret really is right where you want to be, EVERYTHING was within walking distance.
