Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Anchor Bay

Clean and comfortable! Hosts were very friendly and responsive. Plenty of space to accommodate 3 travelers, house was the same as in the pictures. Would stay again!

Neil was a great host. Even with the confusion at check in (fault of my own) he was extremely understanding and proactive. The home was beautiful and the view was even better!! Clean, comfy and had just about everything you need. Short drive to stores and restaurants, the only thing I’d say is if you renting in the colder months, bring warm pjs and socks. The girls were cold and the guys were not lol Overall, 5 star experience.

We really enjoyed our stay. The road to get in could have been a little better but it wasn’t that big of a deal. The only problem we had was the weather and there’s nothing you can do about that. We will definitely come back.

This is a beautiful location convenient to Detroit and the surrounding areas. We loved our stay.

We have stayed hear for a week-long stay for three years in a row now. The hosts are very responsive and helpful. The communication was great, and the location makes it easy to walk anywhere downtown. We really enjoyed the private yard on the riverside, and the easy access to the small parks nearby make it a great place to keep the kids active and entertained!

Stayed here for a guys weekend for a couple of days of fishing. It was flawless! The house was clean and comfortable, and had everything wee needed for an awesome cook-out including pots/pan/plate, a fish cleaning table, fire pit, and good gas grill. 4 twin beds of varying firmness (1 firm, 1 soft, and 2 medium) worked well for us, and there was plenty of space to hang out both in the house and on the water. The boat launch is only about a mile away, so we launched the night we got there, and with lake access, we left the boat tied up right at the house until we checked out. It's walking distance to a couple of bar/restaurants, so if you don't feel like cooking, you're still good to go. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Donna’s was absolutely amazing! It was the perfect getaway for my family and I. The location is perfect for those looking for a place to rest, recharge and enjoy the outdoors. Donna exceeded our expectations when it came to communication and her oh so famous snack basket! I highly recommend Donna’s to anyone looking to have a nice getaway. The location was so lovely and so peaceful! We will definitely book again!

Nas was incredibly kind and responsive, and his place was wonderful. We had a great stay and would consider coming back!

Lisa was a wonderful host and even met us at the door when we arrived to make sure that we were settled in okay and knew how everything worked. She checked in throughout the stay just to make sure everything was okay which I appreciated. I would gladly stay here again as it was the perfect location for when we come to visit Lapeer. The place was very clean and lovely and the appliances were easy to use. Thanks again Lisa!

Nick is a great host. We had a crazy late check in, and he didn’t sign off until he knew we were squared away (2:00 am). The location is nice and close to everything you want to do in downtown, but kinda tucked away and quiet. We would definitely stay at Nick’s again.

We had a pleasant stay, just a couple small quirks to the place we didn't anticipate, maybe I didn't read the listing close enough, but host was responsive and friendly. Perks were it's a spacious stay and has a comfortable bed. TV and fireplace are nice. Quirks are is a first floor apartment complex with a tenant above and there were banging noises above that kept waking us up. Host responded they'd ask the neighbor to keep down the noise, a great option, however the noise kept happening seemingly every time we tried to sleep. Bath towels are located under the bed in a plastic drawer, which isn't correct from the description given "in dresser" and there were no towels in the bathroom initially, which really confused us. The shower is well water based and has a horrible odor, not much the host can do about this but it made showering quite uncomfortable. I still rated 5 stars due to these being minor quirks, overall the stay was peaceful.

Michael’s place is such a hidden gem! Everything matched the descriptions and photos, the lake view was beautiful, the area was quiet and peaceful. I could truly go on and on about how nice our weekend here was. We definitely plan on coming back!

The place was fantastic. Her directions with pictures made it really easy to find. Check-in was super easy. The place was extremely clean and well stocked. And very quiet. She was extremely responsive. Check out was a breeze. Didn’t make the guest do tons of cleaning. Can’t wait to stay there again soon. was absolutely perfect.

Karen was incredible. It was the perfect place to stay. She was beyond accommodating and it is an adorable room with kitchen and bathroom. She went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. I highly recommend and will always stay here in the future!

Awesome spot in a very walkable neighborhood. The building is quite old but the space was very clean and comfortable. The AC was nice and cold, the shower had great water pressure, and the bathroom had plenty of towels and extra shower supplies. I will definitely stay here again.

The Phunky Pheasant suite is my go to place to stay when I visit Detroit for work or pleasure. They are extremely hospitable with their snacks l, drinks and delicious homemade cookies. They were even gracious enough to provide their cookie recipe! I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

My brothers and I with our significant others always get together for a weekend at the Renaissance Festival in Holly and this was literally the perfect cabin for us - close enough that we could go to and from if we needed a break during our long days at the Faire and peaceful enough at night to come back to and relax or play games like we love to do together. Plenty of space that we could all have beds and felt cozy. The lake is beautiful this time of year and even was warm enough that we could have swam after if we wanted or weren’t warn out from our long days. Parking was easy to figure out even with four vehicles. Host was responsive and super helpful and even allowed us to check in early when we realized that we would rather all drive in together last second. (Whoops! Poor planning on my part.) There was even provided water which was lovely as well, and a really nice touch when it comes to well water! Thank you so much and we will be back!

Stephanie and Dana's place is great and they answered all of my questions whenever I had concerns. the place is clean and has a fully stocked pantry and kitchen, we enjoyed the pool and rec centre very much. the resort is quiet and clean, the staff and residents are friendly and helpful, unlike other camp grounds that we have been that people were rowdy and loud until midnight. we had a great time relaxing and have fun in Stephanie and Dana's place and we look forward to coming back in the future.

Enjoyed our stay very clean a lot of necessities for us more than expected you really don’t need to bring anything but food they had everything you could think of there to use for cooking supplies… was also was very easy to find and the neighbors around us were nice also would definitely recommend…

Staying at Matthew's Place was a delightful experience for us. Nestled in the charm of the 1950s, this fishing cabin brims with character. It's cozy and quaint, yet it doesn't skimp on cleanliness or convenience. Located near the enchanting Village of Clarkston, it offers easy access to local neighborhoods and the downtown area on foot. The serene lake, adorned with ducks, swans, and turtles, provided a peaceful backdrop to our stay. Rick managed to catch a big large- mouth bass, which, in the spirit of catch and release, was returned to its aquatic home. We took advantage of the canoe for a gentle paddle on the lake. We brought our own life vests, though Mathew does provide everything we needed. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable, and we wholeheartedly recommend Matthew's Place to singles, couples, and small families looking for a quaint getaway with a touch of adventure.

Stephanie’s place was beautiful and private. Exactly what we were looking for as guests. It’s a a lot more spacious than I had imagined, and the view of the lake with the fire pit lit was a great experience. I would definitely recommend this place to family/friends and come back again for a future vacation. 🤩🤩

Felt right at home in this 1940’s log cabin. Ryan and Tammy’s communication was very helpful before arrival of items they provided and check in process. The beds are not the most comfortable but good enough for us for two nights. Plenty of pillow options and linens. The cabin does have low doorways so if you’re tall you will have the urge to slouch inside. The house is nestled on a hill with plenty of trees that provide privacy and a secluded feel from the surrounding homes. The log cabin is unique to this very nice neighborhood as other homes are more traditional. We enjoyed coffee on the porch and spotted turkeys, deer along with plenty of birds, squirrels and chipmunks. It was a great cozy find. This was our first Airbnb experience and this stay encourages us to find another gem in the future.
