Holiday rentals with a patio in Borough of Harrogate

The studio was spotlessly clean and in a great location with Boston Spa high street just a few minutes walk away. As people have pointed out, it gets very hot in the main space when the sun is out as it was for our visit. However the bedroom is shaded and therefore cooler, so sleeping wasn’t an issue. The only niggle was the lack of a toaster which would have been welcome to toast the bread which was part of the otherwise delicious breakfast. However this was a minor point and the studio was otherwise a very comfortable place to stay.

Exactly as shown in the pictures. Beautiful area. Abdul was quick to respond to any questions or updates I had about my stay. Highly recommend!

Poppy’s place is a great place to stay if visiting York. Hickory’s restaurant just 16 mins walk away and FootGolf over the road. Good use of space would highly recommend! If it’s forecast high 20’s low 30’s I would bring a fan with you as it gets very warm through the evening. Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely stay in the future.

This is a really beautiful property! Although one has to deal with many steps, the beauty and peacefulness and quiet are really worth it. It is comfortable, well equipped, and quiet, with a really charming balcony to sit on – a lovely view of the Abbey. Very easy access to town, beaches, et cetera. The host was helpful, and answered our queries fully and promptly. We would certainly recommend it.

We had a great week in this flat and would definitely return , Pubs & restaurants on your doorstep and a great balcony to sit out on and watch the world go by. Also Nick our host is a nice guy .

Brilliant apartment in a great location. It had everything we needed and was a great space to spend the weekend in. Zoe was really proactive and responsive, and made all the admin around our stay very easy. 10/10 would stay again.

We had a lovely 1 night stay at the Ebor Suite and wished it was for longer. Beautiful decor and everything you need for a short stay. Great detailed instruction for check in. Close to a co-op if you need a few supplies and plenty of restaurants and takeaways. We would certainly return and would recommend to others.

We had a lovely couple of days. The Flat felt like home, great parking and easy access to flat and felt very secure. Suzanne gave very helpful instructions. Flat was about a 25 min walk to shambles but didn’t feel like 25 minutes. Will definitely book here again if we ever decide to visit York again

Had a wonderful few days at the Old Workshop. Great communication with Sian before our visit. Very clean and exactly as described. Lovely welcome basket of treats. The house had everything we needed. Great accessible bathroom. Beds were incredibly comfortable, but were quite high which was a slight issue (accessibility wise) for my Mum. But I loved mine! Both bedrooms very spacious, as was living area. Would comfortably fit 4 adults. Weather was a bit iffy for us, but we did manage to briefly use the patio furniture and enjoy the lovely garden area. Heavy rain did also keep us awake due to the flat roof but that can’t be helped. Great location right by the National Park Visitor Centre. Very helpful staff there advised us about accessible walks. Easy walk into centre of Grassington. We even managed to see some “All Creatures…” filming! Would recommend!

Stayed with 3 other couples in June 2025. Excellent location and facilities. All four bedrooms were a good size, ensuite and with comfy beds. We found the directions hard to follow, but using the postcode with the satnav was fine. Overall an excellent cottage for a long weekend.

A lovely cottage in a lovely town. Super comfortable beds and a great shower. Well equipped kitchen and the garden overlooking the river was a delight….very friendly neighbours, too! We would definitely stay again. Ten out of ten.

Lovely little cottage tucked away with beautiful views surrounding it. A bit tricky to find as the sat nav stopped before the actual road we needed to turn down, however Jo’s clear instructions really helped. Cosy, lovely cottage. The steps are really steep up to the bedrooms though so be mindful of that. We went with our 4yr old who just loved climbing up them as she thought it was an adventure, and we just brought our baby gate to put at the top for in the night. Pately Bridge is a 10min drive away, although I would advise bringing food with you as shopping options are quite limited in the small town. Be mindful there is no microwave in the kitchen as well for food prep/baby bottles etc. Jo was a lovely host, she sent through a full brochure for us before the trip with lots of local info on. We ate at the Sportman’s Arms about 15min drive from the house as well, which I would highly recommend, also suggested by Jo. Would recommend Jo’s place for anyone wanting a relaxing stay.

Such a wonderful home for our one night. We wished it could have been for longer. Everything you could want, comfy beds, great showers, neat kitchen. Dogs loved it too!

We’ve just got home from a wonderful stay at Tom & Jo’s beautiful cottage. We received a lovely welcome with fresh eggs, bread, cookies, butter and milk, which were all lovely, they’d even put up birthday bunting as we were away celebrating my husband’s birthday, and a welcome message: a lovely extra special touch. The cottage has been beautifully done, it’s got everything you need, a comfy bed, large, fluffy towels and bathrobes. It was lovely seeing and hearing the horses go by the cottage each morning, it’s a great town and so much to do in the surrounding area, we will be coming back to spend more time here. We had a lovely meal at the Tack Room which is a 2 minute walk, and another lovely meal at the Wensleydale Heifer. All in all we’ve had a fabulous weekend!! Thank you. PS; a footstool would be great to put your feet up, when sitting on the lovely sofa, after a days walking ;)

Amazing kitchen we both loved cooking in our tapas meal in it. It was great to have a selection of herbs and spices already in the kitchen. Everything clean and tidy . Wonderful place to stay and hope to come back soon :). Hope you have good clutch control getting out the drive way aha. Thank you for having us

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shambles Secret. Jenny proved to be a first class host, who went above and beyond to make her guests happy; we cannot thank her enough. The flat was exactly as depicted in the pictures, lovely and cosy and a real home from home. We slept really well, and although the flat is right in the centre of York, it was remarkably quiet. We enjoyed our time in the flat as much as we did sightseeing in fabulous York. Shambles Secret really is right where you want to be, EVERYTHING was within walking distance. This is a fabulous rental. It is beautifully appointed inside and spotlessly clean and tidy. It’s in a very quiet spot with verdant outside space and close to the buzzy pub and restaurant scene in Headingley as well as being within striking distance of Leeds city centre. Jo could not have been more helpful in terms of accommodating us and making us feel immediately at home.

Outstanding! For two travellers Eleanor's quiet haven in York is a gem. Location is ideal being easy walking to/from the hubbub of central York with an elegant setting in leafy quiet retreat after our busy days within the city walls. Furnished tastefully with a period feel, though modern in layout and fit out. Attention to detail with everything awaiting our stay was exceptional.
