We had the most amazing stay at The Mount at the end of June with our dog. Our room on the first floor had lovely dual aspect of the lake and Cat Bells. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed eating outside on the front terrace every morning enjoying the views. Our dog was made to feel especially welcome - he loves anyone who offers him a leftover sausage! We will definitely be returning to stay with Clive and Caroline again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very pleasant stay Dean was very helpful the full English breakfast was great both days great base for exploring the lakes we would definitely stay there again only slight negative was the shower wasn’t very powerful and the bed was a bit uncomfortable but that wouldn’t stop us visiting again thanks

Me and a group of friends stayed here over Easter and it was the most incredible place. Anton and Penny were so helpful and lovely. The complimentary breakfast and food at the pub was so delicious and the yurt was so cosy, clean and well put together. Would definitely come back to this Airbnb. Penrith was a 15 minute drive away and the village was very picturesque. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing stay with some very helpful hosts

Handy base with easy access to a proper coffee in the village and to the lakes. One thing thats great about this air BnB is the seasonal garden fresh goodies that may be picked if available for your breakfast selection. Along with Sarah's homemade Bread, jam and yogurt.

Stayed 4 days in Paul’s lovely cottage, just a short walk from Hawkshead village. The accommodations were as expected and Paul could not have been a more gracious host. He has a wealth of local knowledge and directed us on some beautiful walks. Breakfasts were fantastic! Would absolutely return in a heartbeat.

Great peaceful stay in beautiful location, opposite the marshes... a stunning sunset walk! Delicious breakfasts, Raphaela went out of her way to cater a tasty vegan breakfast. One of my favourite breakfasts in a long time! Thank you for a warm and friendly stay, would highly recommend :)

Lovely place on a quiet street. Breakfast was great. Our room on the top floor was immaculate with a great view and very comfy bed, although if you're anywhere around 6ft tall be careful not to bonk your head! Use of the nearby spa facilities was a great bonus on the day after our stay!

Had a lovely stay with Steve & Harriet. Warm, friendly welcome in a lovely homely cottage. Bed was really comfortable, it was peaceful and the surroundings are beautiful. Steve made me a delicious breakfast in the morning too. Also worth noting that as a solo female travelling for work, I felt completely comfortable and safe in Steve’s lovely home, thank you.

Thanks for a wonderful and memorable visit to Cockermouth! The space was lovely and I appreciated how responsive and accommodating Amy was during the 5 night stay. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing! Hope to return to Cockermouth again soon!

Jan and Doug are a lovely couple, kind, friendly and welcoming, and Jan was easy to communicate with ahead of our visit. Only two rooms in the b and b, so it has a homely feel. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and the bed comfortable. They provide a wide selection of teas and coffees in the room - and biscuits! Breakfasts were tasty, with lovely homemade preserves. A few minutes' walk into Corbridge village which has a range of shops and restaurants to choose from. We would happily stay at Peartree Hose again, and thoroughly recommend it.

Although we only had a very brief stop-over at Janet and Ged's it provided everything we needed and more. Great hosts, a lovely annexe, plenty of home-comforts and a spectacular breakfast which then fuelled us for a full day of gravel riding in Kielder Forest. We'd love to come back and stay for longer next time!

The Holly room was lovely with dual aspect windows. A lovely view across to the ŕiver. Appreciated the lift and on site dining, but would have preferred to be able to order just a main course. The pricing was for a 2 or 3 course meal. The lounge with huge fireplace was lovely and the snooker table in its own room a nice touch. Enjoyed the stroll to Robbie Burns Hermitage before departure. The surrounding countryside is beautiful.

100% worth the price, best of the best. We had a really really great time together. Pete has a very strong sense of humor, and Carole makes us a wonderful local feast and breakfast. It’s FLAWLESS! My family is really enjoyed. One thing I hate is our English is not so good that we can’t express all our happiness. Even that, they use translation apps to break the barrier. There are so many wonderful details that can't be expressed in the comments. They show the true brilliance of humanity and tell us that friendship knows no boundaries. 100 out of 10!

Great 1 night getaway above Heidi’s cafe. Great central location to start and end walks in the area. Good communication and instructions from Emma to get into the property. Car parking extra but plenty nearby (£10 for 24 hrs). Lovely quirky room with a balcony (rm 6). Really good breakfast with very helpful staff (Craig). Gluten free catered for, for my wife. The only addition which would make the room perfect would be a small fridge. Will be back at some point in the near future. Thank you.

Clare is a great host and a very nice person! Provided me with everything that I needed for my stay and even more! Lovely place, felt at home. Lovely dogs very friendly. Good bed, bedroom with a lot of space, good bathroom and shower, lot of space on the wardrobe, a place to make a coffee and a mini fridge. Perfect place to be!!

A delightful stay with a fascinating couple. From a warm welcome, to a delicious home-cooked dinner and use of the lovely summerhouse, we had the perfect stay!

Tony was a great host! We went to Kendal for a very casual getaway and the BnB was in an amazing location. Tony was really friendly, helpful and even had lovely breakfast items prepared for us. The bedroom was cosy and we felt right at home. thank you so much for having us!

We couldn’t have been made more welcome. Our two dogs were treated like Pat’s own and she even had them both in with her whilst we went out to dinner. Her home is lovely and you truly do get half a house! Bedrooms are beautifully themed and couldn’t be more comfortable. My husband had a full English in the morning and raced about, fresh, hot plate, everything you needed. Proper Yorkshire Tea too! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or to recommend to others. Thank you and it was worth every penny. Oh and the views - well, boon and you’ll see for yourselves!

My two friends and I had a wonderful stay at Sara’s. Sara gave us a special Isaac’s Tea Trail package providing dinner as well as bed and breakfast. The meals were all delicious, and very appreciated as we were on foot and unable to drive to nearby pubs. The house and location is beautiful and we were greeted with tea, warm crumpets and a log fire - perfect after a long wet walk. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Sara is a fantastic warm host and so interesting to talk to. I’d highly recommend staying - you won’t want to leave though.

I arrived earlier than check in just to advise that I was actually there and was not a no show due to me not returning till late that night. I was given my keys and had immediate access to the room and a quick drink in the bar before I went to do my thing . A lovely place to come home to with friendly locals in the bar while I was having a nightcap :-)

Our stay at Dominic and Elaine's home was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms by the kindest and friendliest hosts we’ve ever met. They truly went above and beyond with personal touches that made us feel right at home. Their attention to detail and thoughtfulness did not go unnoticed! The house itself is absolutely stunning—every corner beautifully designed and immaculately kept. We were constantly in awe of the space and comfort. But what truly made our stay memorable was the incredible breakfast they prepared. It was not only delicious but felt like it was made with such care and love. If you’re looking for a stay that feels both luxurious and warm, we cannot recommend Dominic and Elaine's place enough. We left feeling like we had made new friends, and we’ll definitely be back!
