Cabin holiday rentals in Indian River

This was the perfect location to explore Northern Michigan. It was so close to many places we wanted to visit. The resort itself had so many amenities. We loved the pools and the beautiful neighborhoods. I highly recommend it because it’s a peaceful landing spot after a day of exploring the breathtaking region.

This was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. The house is in a quiet area with easy parking and views and an easy walk to the bay. Check-in was simple, with Kate providing great instructions for the keypad to let ourselves in. The house was cozy with all amenities as described, and we felt right at home. All the Traverse City attractions were easy to get to, and Kate provided great recommendations. We had an awesome time and would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Wildwood Lodge! The property is on a barely traveled road and feels secluded (only one neighbor is visible but it does not impede on enjoying any of the hang out areas). The house was really well appointed with amenities (towels, kitchen gadgets/utensils) and was kept very clean. Loved the oversized couch to hang out on and then front porch for morning coffee. The small front fenced in area was perfect for our pups. We will definitely be back!

It was a great cabin with full of things provide to do to spend the days away from home. Enough to do for days we didnt have plans to enjoy some cards around the open fire or enjoy some time in the hot tub, or have a friendly game of corn hole

Kyle’s place was in an excellent location. We were able to take a day trip to Mackinac Island, explore Petoskey and Harbor Srings nearby and have some nights in by the fire. We especially enjoyed all the available firewood and the kids loved exploring in the woods. Everything was as described in the listing and we appreciated the spices and oil available for cooking. We would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic stay at this cabin! It looked exactly like the photos—beautiful, clean, and cozy with thoughtful touches throughout. The basement game room was a huge hit with our family, especially on the rainy days. Between the arcade games, ping pong, and board games, there was always something fun to do. My kids especially loved the bunk beds! The cabin was stocked with lots of extras, including a variety of coffee syrups that made our mornings feel extra special. The hot tub and fire pit (complete with s’mores supplies!) were perfect for winding down in the evenings. Clint was a great host—very organized and proactive, providing detailed notes and photos ahead of our arrival to make everything super easy. The location was peaceful but still close to many northern Michigan activities. We were honestly sad to leave. This cabin made for such a memorable getaway and we’d love to come back again!

We had a great time at this place for our annual friends trip. Slept nine adults, and other than being a little cramped in the bunkbeds, all was wonderful. Property was as described, instructions were clear, and we really enjoyed ourselves. The weather was not ideal on our trip, so we spent a lot of time indoors. Space is not large, but they do a great job with how they have things laid out to make it work. It was perfect for our group.

Nothing but praises for Patricia & John. Out of all of my airBnB stays, the welcoming rustic environment they have created at the Balsams is untouched in comparison to others & holds a special place for us. This was our second stay and it only expanded on the amazing first time we had. Simple things like local suggestions, dvd titles on hand to browse through (no cable or wifi here folks), owners available to just talk added so much to the care of our stay + comforts available. Plus the history of the Balsams alone adds depth for those willing to dig in a little bit on the knowledge provided (check out the cabin binder for more). Thank you both again - we look forward to our next trip & wish you both the best!

Beautiful location, secluded in woods. Great spot to go out a warbler tour.

We spent the weekend here for our honeymoon and it was wonderful! It was great to escape for a few nights - we loved the private location & all of the amenities with the cabin (record player, dvd player, coffee maker, etc.) as well as the campfire area. This is very close to Torch Lake, as well as only ~45 minutes from Traverse City so there is plenty to do if you are looking to go out. The cabin was cozy & relaxing, so you may just want to stay there the whole time. I would caution future guests to prepare yourselves for the drive in - it’s hidden in a wooded area, so your car may be stuck in the mud or blocked by fallen trees - just be prepared for that. Otherwise, this was the perfect getaway & we can’t wait to return!

The cabin was perfect. So many useful amenities. Perfect for our family snowmobiling trip.

This was a hidden gem!! We wish we would have booked another day to just explore the cabin and all it had to offer! We will definitely be back!

If you're looking for a nice place within walking distance to downtown Bellaire, this is it. I would stay again in the future.

We stayed as a family of 4 at Linda’s place for Michigan Mountain Mayhem & really enjoyed ourselves. It was peaceful, we had privacy & everything on the listing was available. The kids (8 & 3.5) had so much fun staying here & making memories as a family. We each got our own bed & it’s so nice to have 2 full bathrooms too. We saw many deer, including two bucks in the backyard which was so cool! Thank you for having us, we had a wonderful time :)

Craig’s cabin was absolutely beautiful and if you want to get away from all the craziness and take a moment of true peacefulness this is the place.

A hidden gem—nestled in the woods, yet close to everything. The charming cabin was spotless, well-stocked, and its back wall of windows opened to an enchanted view. The serene river out back—with a dock, kayaks, and fire ring—made it feel like a private retreat. Our visit was part of a brief family reunion getaway with our two sons and daughter-in-law, and Emily was wonderfully responsive, warm, and accommodating. Though brief, our stay was incredibly relaxing—kayaking, sitting by the fire with s'mores (provided!), enjoying the outdoor shower, and sipping morning coffee on the deck while soaking in the calm. We truly didn't want to leave. Highly recommend this gem to anyone seeking comfort and nature in one perfect spot.

We arrived late on a snowy Friday evening, to a beautifully furnished and cozy cabin. The wood was readily available to stoke up a warm fire in the wood burning stove. The next day we awoke to a beautiful snow-covered view from the large windows. The kitchen had everything we needed, including new cookware and sparkling clean appliances. We were pleasantly surprised to find both a Ninja coffee bar and a Keurig coffee maker for us to use. The driveway was plowed well and clear instructions were welcoming our arrival. We felt very comfortable and "at home" at this cottage. The owners are kind and available. My 13 y/o son even enjoyed the robe that was supplied. This was such a cozy winter getaway, we would love to stay in the summer for a completely different getaway.

Great property. Only saw one of the cabins on the property, but it was perfect for my group and I. If you are looking for a private, quiet, and peaceful break from reality then I would highly recommend this place.

The cottage was very comfortable and had everything you needed. Peaceful and private surroundings with beautiful views. Great location and lots to see and do in the surrounding area. Excellent communication and Ashel was extremely kind and willing to be flexible when we thought we might need to cancel.

This was our first Airbnb experience. We feel Eric was more than willing to accommodate us with helping us to plan our daily outings. All of his ideas worked out very well. He also made sure we had everything we needed at the house to make our stay very enjoyable. I would recommend Eric to anyone. He is a very helpful and courteous host who wants his guest to have a pleasant visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Michael’s cabin on the shore of Lake Huron! It was just what we were looking for - somewhere off the beaten path that felt like a remote getaway. The home is very family friendly with games, books and activities for our kids and the very cool sauna for adults! We enjoyed the kayaks and walking the beach. The house was very clean and comfortable - we found the waffle maker useful too! Thanks for a great stay!

This is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had through the Airbnb app. The home was amazing and the pictures don’t do it justice. They have everything you could want there and they were super responsive and helpful. I can’t suggest this place enough. We look forward to coming back one day!
