Halmhuset - The Straw House

Our thatched house is probably the only "Halmhuset" that is rented as a vacation home in Denmark. It is breathable, made of clay and straw, and is sustainably supplied by heat pump and photovoltaics. In summer, the thick walls provide pleasant coolness, in winter it is cozy and warm, with a room height of up to 4 meters. A real feel-good place for up to 8 people, located at the gates of the city of Tønder, close to the Wadden Sea National Park and the islands of Sylt and Rømø.

Large and spacious country property overlooking Frøslev plantation. This invites you to lovely walks or a ride on the bike - both can be varied in great style in the huge scenic area. Located in the border country, there is ample opportunity to dive into history or take a trip to Flensburg.
