Embrace the Scandinavian design aesthetics of this wood-clad apartment. The home features plank flooring, unique artwork throughout, pops of color, an eclectic mix of contemporary and antique furnishings, and rooftop views. You will find a well equipped and cosy Danish apartment here. We love our place, but happily share it with you during the summer. Every thing you might need is here. Two separate bedrooms, with nice double beds. A big dinner table in the dining room, with a great evening light across the city towers. A well equipped, easy to handle kitchen. A comfortably sized bathroom with shower and toilet. A nice hallway with access to the whole shabam. Since we dont believe in television, we can give you a strong broad band wifi in stead. And we recommend a good rainy day spent with one of our many board games! We will drop by and say hello - open the doors, wash dirty linen if needed. All in accordance with you of course. We will not be so far away, and can help if you need. The property is located in the heart of the city just 200 meters from the main street. There is easy public transportation around town, and there are a number of shops, restaurants, bars, and more to explore. Main bus station around the corner. Main train station 5 minutes walk. Free city bikes are usually parked on our street. Parking nearby is possible, but comes with a strict parking fee. Backside neighbour is the police station, so you better behave :-) As we live in the city, online and work hard every day, we like to have a peaceful off-time in the apartment. Hence no TV! WiFi is with you all the way, thought ;-) Also note that our living room is without the usual sofa, focusing on the dinner table as a central point in our life. The couch in the guest room is making up for this monumentous loss. Neighbourhood is primarily young people with lots of city venues around. Wonderful silence can be expected, but not a guarantee in the city center.

A completely unique view over the sky mountain lake Juleø, with the background of the most beautiful hilly landscape. From the apartment's own terrace, you can follow the life of the lake in a wealth of different birds, and everything from kayaks to shuttle boats. Beautiful hiking, MTB tracks, cycling From the cozy mountain town of Laven, the train runs in a short time to Ry, Silkeborg, Sejs, Aarhus, the station is only 400m from the apartment. There is no internal staircase between the floors, and there is a private entrance to the apartment. Wifi 👍

The kitchen with electric kettle and fridge - not possible to cook hot food.

Enjoy your morning coffee in the pavilion with the wood stove on. Read a book in the double bed overlooking the lake or take the mountain bike and take a ride on the route outside the door. On your way to the garden house, you have to go through our lovely garden, you can walk around our pond, enjoy all our beautiful flowers and plants, we won the garden company's garden prize 2024 The house is decorated with wood on the walls, small bathroom with shower, kitchen and direct access to the orangery where you are welcome to sit and enjoy or eat. The bed is in the loft, where there is a skylight window so you can enjoy the stars, the wilderness bath can be purchased if you wish and come here. Wine and tapas can be purchased

Apartment (A) by the forest

Small apartment of 34 m2 with its own kitchen, bathroom, living room with sofa bed, bedroom and large terrace. View of scenic area with fields and beautiful hilly forest that invites you to take good walks. The apartment is cozy and the large terrace doors can be opened up so that nature is invited in. Next door, there is an identical apartment that can also be rented if more beds are desired. The two apartments are located next to each other in a separate building, on our farm, where we have horses

Holiday in the countryside. With animals and garden.

Beautiful apartment in rural surroundings, located in Søhøjlandet, halfway between Aarhus and Silkeborg. From the apartment you can see a fantastic view to the south and west. There is the possibility to use our campfire site, firewood is included. There is a private terrace with morning sun. On the farm there are horses, cows, chickens and turkeys. REMEMBER to bring your own bedding, otherwise it is possible to rent it. Payment for this is made upon arrival. REMEMBER to clean before departure.

Vidkærhøj

Har I lyst til at opleve Danmark fra sin smukke og rolige side, så er “Vidkærhøj” stedet for jer. Boligen er en del af vores ejendom fra 1870’erne, og var oprindeligt en gammel stald, som vi nænsomt har istandsat over de seneste par år. Den er beliggende centralt mellem Aarhus, Silkeborg og Skanderborg. Her er højt til himlen, og hvis I har lyst vil vores hund, Aggie, meget gerne hilse på jer, ligesom vores kat, høns og haner også er meget nysgerrige. Vi glæder os til at tage imod jer 🤗
