Birken Cottage - Holidays in the Herbsthausen sawmill

Our three one-room apartments — Ahorn, Linde, and Birke — combine the historic charm of Herbsthausen with contemporary design. Each apartment is completely unique and has been modernized by us. They offer space for two to three people each. The apartments are part of “Herbsthausen”, an cultural project in the town of Gartow. We are renovating a historic sawmill and transforming it into a future-oriented place for art, industrial heritage, living, working, international exchange, and relaxation.

From the apartment to the nearest swimming facility in Lake Schwerin, it takes 3 minutes on foot... to the castle you can reach on a beautiful shore path in 20 minutes and the city center is not much further. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful... there is a small forest within a 3-minute walk. The apartment is cozy and spacious (120 square meters)... there is also a second toilet (not pictured).You have a terrace and can barbecue in the garden. Heating/hot water are guaranteed.

Euer Zuhause: Ein lichtdurchflutetes gemütliches Apartment über den Dächern der Altstadtinsel. In nur zwei Gehminuten seid ihr am schönen Elbstrand oder dem Marktplatz mit kleinen Cafés und Stöbergeschäften. Mit der Fahrradfähre seid ihr in 5 Minuten auf der anderen Elbseite von wo aus euch ein angenehm befahrbarer Radweg immer den Fluss entlang führt. P.s. Geheimtips für die besten Elbstrände zum picknicken und bestaunen der Sonnenuntergänge sind natürlich inklusive.

Vacation in the middle of the historic old town. This cozy and also super centrally located apartment is located in the city center of the beautiful state capital Schwerin and is therefore the ideal starting point for excursions or excursions of any kind. The castle; the theater; the cathedral; restaurants; cafes, public transport, etc. are just a stone's throw away. With its 2.5 light-flooded rooms, the apartment offers enough space for up to 4 people.

Enjoy the tranquility and relaxation in our lovingly restored apartment. The mixture of coziness, nature & comfort ensure relaxed days in the beautiful Prignitz. The 25 m² terrace with garden access invites you for breakfast in the morning sun. The 1000 m² garden can be used incl. the pool (seasonal) can be shared by you.

Apartment "Gardenview" just outside Schwerin

In front of the Schwerin gates is our over 100-year-old residential building with adjoining new building with two individually designed apartments. The "Gardenview" is suitable for both business and individual travelers. It is located on the 2nd floor and offers a light-flooded living room with a king-size bed, desk and small dining area with high chairs. An adjoining kitchen, as well as a separate shower room complete the apartment with garden views.

The Rooms with a View apartment sits with unobstructed views of the Havel River and Naturpark Westhavelland, a nature reserve and bird sanctuary. The 45m² apartment sleeps three comfortably, the two front rooms have windows overlooking the river, and the entire apartment is decorated with original artwork, including handmade quilts and hand-knotted rugs. Full kitchen, toilet with shower, private entrance, & more. Beach, 150m away, full use of garden.

Unfortunately, our farm is not suitable for excessive parties. Our house was built around 1850. The house & barn of the listed 3-sided courtyard are built in oak half-timbering. There are 10 wedding linden trees around the house. In November, when the lime trees are pruned, the house can be seen in all its splendor. From May onwards, it slowly disappears behind shady foliage, and so remains wonderfully cool throughout the summer... 

Relaxation and time in nature

Sit back and relax – in this quiet, stylish place. Arrive and feel comfortable. Discover the surroundings. Walk endlessly in the nearby forest. Fishing on the lake. Maybe work on something in peace that should always be finished. Enjoy the weather. Look at the starry sky at night. You can do all that here. Or sometimes nothing... True to the motto: "Nothing happens, also nice!", you can switch off here and go on a discovery tour.

Accommodation of the star park. Our 1-room apartment is located in a converted barn on our project farm Mannaz. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, a 140 x 200 bed, a dining area for two people and a private lovingly designed bathroom. Comfortable, spacious, lovingly furnished 2-room vacation apartment in Wittenberge. Centrally located and just a 5-minute walk to the Elbe, where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets or walks on the dike. Netto, Rossmann, pharmacy, bakery are all within walking distance. Nice gift shop right in the house.
