In the past 5 years, we have renovated the Zahren estate house with great effort and ecologically (clay plaster) and largely according to historical models but also with modern accents. The manor house, including the spacious common rooms on the first floor and a total of 4 apartments, can also be rented as an offsite location or privately individually or as a whole. It is located in a landscape park on approx. 20,000 square meters, which can be shared by our guests.

The 45m² apartment sleeps three comfortably, the two front rooms have windows overlooking the river, and the entire apartment is decorated with original artwork, including handmade quilts and hand-knotted rugs. The 100 sqm house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious living area with floor-to-ceiling windows and an open kitchen. It is about 150 m to the beach with sunbathing lawn. Opposite the property is a petting zoo and a riding facility. Bicycles, boats or canoes can be rented very close by. Nearby are restaurants within walking distance. On the lake side, the property is bordered by the idyllic bike and shore path around Lake Plau.

Unfortunately, our farm is not suitable for excessive parties. Our house was built around 1850. The house & barn of the listed 3-sided courtyard are built in oak half-timbering. There are 10 wedding linden trees around the house. In November, when the lime trees are pruned, the house can be seen in all its splendor. From May onwards, it slowly disappears behind shady foliage, and so remains wonderfully cool throughout the summer... 

Quiet apartment in Malchow

We rent a cozy 40 sqm apartment on the western outskirts of Malchow (Meckl.). It is an ideal base for exploring the Mecklenburg Lake District. For this purpose, two 28-inch bicycles with coaster brakes are also available if needed. Shopping and sports facilities, a cinema and a swimming area are 300 meters away. There is currently still a daily tourist tax of 1.50/2.00 euros per person.
