Holiday rentals with beach access in Rethymno

We had a really great, relaxing time at the apartment from Stavros. We enjoyed nice evenings on the big terrace and being able to walk along the seaside to the old part of Rethymno in just 15minutes. We also really liked the location of the apartment around the corner from the beach, the supermarket downstairs and the bus stop down the street. Stavros gave us a very friendly welcome and even recommended great spots for food and activities.

We loved our stay at Anastasio’s! The apartment was clean and just as the photos described. The location was beautiful, overlooking the water and within walkable distance to everything you could need. Anastasio and Fotis were extremely responsive and helpful, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. They even allowed us to check in early when we arrived to the city earlier than expected. Thanks for a great stay!

Great location, very short walk to the port, beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. The host was extremely responsive and always willing to help make our stay comfortable! Apartment was very clean and the jacuzzi is a great feature. Multiple cafe’s/bars just downstairs with great food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend staying at this property if you want to be close to the venetian port and all Chania has to offer.

Nous avons séjourné deux nuits à Agia Galíni chez Panagiotis, et l’expérience a été vraiment relaxante. Le logement est très beau, parfaitement conforme aux photos, avec même une terrasse plus grande que ce à quoi nous nous attendions ! Dès notre arrivée, nous avons eu le plaisir de rencontrer notre hôte, qui nous a accueillis chaleureusement et nous a donné d’excellentes recommandations pour nos excursions durant le séjour. Il a été disponible, attentionné et de très bon conseil jusqu’à notre départ. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement, qui offre un excellent rapport qualité-prix, au cœur d’un village charmant avec de nombreux restaurants et bars. Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Wie kann man etwas Perfektes beschreiben? Ein kleines Juwel im Paradies! Die Gastgeber charmant, hilfsbereit und sehr liebenswert. Die Bar nebenan einfach top. Matala hat den Zauber nicht verloren. Hier scheint die Zeit etwas langsamer zu gehen. Jederzeit gerne wieder. Wir werden unsere zwei Hauskatzen sehr vermissen. Herzlichen Dank und hoffentlich bis nächstes Jahr❤️

This place is beautiful! We enjoyed our stay especially watching sunrises with coffee on the balcony and watching sunsets with some wine. The views are stunning. It had all the amenities we needed for our stay and was quiet when we needed some rest. It was about a 20 minute walk to old town and had good sidewalks and lighting. Parking in Rethymno can be challenging so having a spot was very convenient. There is a little beach across the street for a quick dip in the sea. It is a great spot for venturing to other locations. I highly recommend checking out the artist town of Margarites. Nikos was a great host, very easy to reach and provided some lovely recommendations.

Would love to come back and stay at 7 Olives again. Each apartment has a stunning view from their balcony. All the guests were quiet and respectful. Two super comfy pillows for each of us which we didn’t find anywhere else on our trip to Europe. The mattress was also very comfortable. And Alex was by far my favorite Greek kitty we met.

Hôtes très accueillant et réactifs (je me suis bêtement enfermée dehors le premier soir…. Ils ont trouvé une solution très rapidement alors qu’ils n’étaient pas sur place). Encore merci pour leur gentillesse ! Logement très agréable, propre et à proximité des commerces et de la gare routière KTEL.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Die Lage ist ruhig und bietet einen tollen Blick aufs Meer – perfekt, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Vermieter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben den Aufenthalt angenehm gestaltet. Alles in allem ein schönes Haus für einen entspannten Urlaub am Strand.

Dena was a great host, I never met her but she always responded to all my questions. The studio was comfortable with a fabulous location. Parking at the nearby port was also convenient. We were able to leave our car for days without a problem. You don't need a car really when your Rethymno but we visited the smaller villages and really recommend going to Patsos Gorge. Incredible!

Desiree was an impeccable accommodation. The place was everything we could have dreamed of and more…location, decor & special touches were top notch. The host Maria was responsive, and her helper Manousos was the nicest man who met us to provide the keys and showed us the place. We loved that this place also comes with parking. Maria’s mom had put together 3 containers of her chicken and potatoes for my family upon arrival. We were also treated with a bottle of wine, snacks, fruits, and bottled water. A water gun was left for our son. We would definitely stay again on our next visit to Chania.

Wir haben 8 Tage in Fanis Unterkunft verbracht. Die Wohnung ist sehr modern eingerichtet und sauber. Sie hat alles was ein Selbstverpflegungsurlaub benötigt. Wir konnten Wäschewaschen, hatten alles mögliche an Küchenutensilien und eine tolle Terrasse, auf der man den Ausblick aufs Meer genießen konnte. Der Ort selber bietet alles was man braucht. Es gibt viele Restaurants und Bars, einen kleinen Supermarkt, Geldautomat uvm. Die Liegen + Sonnenschirm am Strand kosten insgesamt 10€ pro Tag, falls einer kommt zum abrechnen. Wir hatten einen Mietwagen um die Gegend zu erkunden. Kreta ist riesig und es dauert bis man an gewissen Orten ist. Für den Start hat Fanis uns Wasser, frisches Obst und kleine Snacks hinterlassen. Es war ein super Aufenthalt. Vielen Dank ☺️

Theo’s apartment is absolutely beautiful place to stay right in the heart of the old city - we had an amazing stay and thoroughly recommend. Theo was a brilliant host, the personal welcome and flexible check in and check out made us feel right at home even after a long journey. The apartment is beautifully equipped and finished, with comfortable living area, well equipped kitchen and lovely bedrooms with lots of storage. The roof terrace is stunning, catching the sun all day with lots of comfortable furniture. The location is perfect for food and shopping in the heart of the old city, with stunning sea swimming locations a short walk away. We had a wonderful stay, Theo was awesome and the overall cost was good value for money.

Absolutely loved this airbnb. Small deck overlooking the Chania Bay lighthouse and all the restaurants surrounding the bay. Airbnb at end and had a great restaurant (with blue chairs) that had great food. Beds were comfortable and back bedroom was very quiet as well. The owner met us at check-in and explained everything. Top deck was very nice to sit, my husband actually pulled out his laptop and worked on the table for awhile. He was in heaven. But we enjoyed sitting on small deck off living space too. Husband and myself w our two young adult children loved that we were so close to everything. Do not hesitate to book this airbnb.

Sûrement grâce à Cléopatra qui nous a accueilli de façon exceptionnelle, empathique, généreuse et pleine de bienveillance, elle a eu toujours le souci de nous satisfaire. It was a wonderful stay! The apartment is completely new, modern and beautifully decorated. The hosts are a kind young couple who are extremely hospitable and professional. Starting with care before arrival, through a tour of the apartment, numerous recommendations about Rethymno, refreshments with cake, honey and other food, and finally fulfilling a special request. The location is fantastic, a few steps to everything. Thank you! I will be back.

This is absolutely our favorite Airbnb that we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). The place is adorable. Katerina is very responsive and lives right by the apartment. The view is wonderful, and both the living room and twin bedroom have doors that open onto that view. It has everything you need and more, with Katerina providing treats and even cereal and milk for that first morning. The air conditioning worked well, but there is also a lovely breeze from the sea. There are tons of restaurants and cafes just below the apartment as well as with 5 and 10 minutes walk in Old Town. It would be comfortable for a couple and a third person (such as a child) or two people, each with their own room. The washing machine was great to have, and you can dry clothes on the lines off the balcony. We did not want to leave.

Loved the huge deck. Across street from beautiful beach where you could rent chairs and an umbrella and order food and drink. Walk to dozens of all kinds of different restaurants right on the “the strip” and in the old town.

Tasos est un hôte extrêmement accueillant. À notre arrivée tardive, nous avons trouvé un frigo et un congélateur généreusement garni. Des fruits, des confitures, des biscottes et des boissons fraîches et chaudes nous attendaient. Et Tasos a été absolument adorable pour nous faciliter le séjour. Nous lui en sommes très reconnaissants. Son appartement est très agréable , le jacuzzi et la vue magnifique en font une perle rare. Nous recommandons vivement cette location, encore plus appréciée grâce aux nombreux détails auxquels Tasos a pensé.

we had a very pleasant stay at the artists penthouse! It was exactly as beautiful in the pictures, and the views are absolutely amazing. The place was beyond comfortable and felt like home. Our host was incredibly responsive, checked in with us regularly to make sure everything was okay, and that we enjoyed ourselves. truly, highly recommend staying here. A large group or family would be very comfortable here. We had many great dinners on the balcony- plus, only a 4 minute walk to the beach with a lot of local restaurants. 5/5!

Eftychia est une hôte exceptionnelle, très accueillante. Elle avait prévu plein de gentilles attentions. L'appartement est beau et très propre. Le secteur est très bien, tout près de la vielle ville à pied. Je le recommande!

Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, gut renoviert, praktisch eingerichtet, nur 3 Minuten vom Strand entfernt, 20 Minuten an der Promenade bis zur Altstadt und trotz der Lage an einer viel befahrenen Straße recht ruhig. Auch das Parken des Mietwagen war recht unproblematisch. Kostenfreie Parkplätze sind in der Umgebung vorhanden. Der Balkon ist etwas schmal und nicht so gut zum draußen sitzen geeignet (zumal es draußen auch etwas laut ist). Alles in allem aber ein toller Aufenthalt.

We had a wonderful stay at Alexandros’s place! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The villa itself was spotless, well-equipped, and very comfortable, but the real highlight was the stunning outdoor space and private pool – we truly didn’t want to leave. Alexandros was incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even leaving us a selection of delicious local treats. We had everything we needed and more. The location is peaceful and offers a beautiful sea view thanks to its position on a hill – it feels like a little slice of paradise. It’s just a short drive to the charming town of Rethymno, which has plenty of great places to eat, shop, and explore. There are also supermarkets nearby if you’d rather cook and enjoy meals at the lovely villa. Do note that you’ll definitely need a car, as the villa is a bit uphill and not walkable from town – but the view and tranquility are well worth it. We would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!
