The apartment is located on the lower floor of our house and some noise from the family is to be expected. By appointment, we may use the washing machine in your bathroom when you are on a trip to town. In addition, you have the apartment to yourselves.

All the indoor details have been taken care of and a rare stylish and atmospheric interior has been completed in the small simple house from 1978. It is flooded with sun from the large green garden with both south and west-facing terraces and there is only a 100-meter walk to the sea view, as well as a beautiful hiking trail in the forest edge on the edge of the slope to the sea.

Jump into the lake from the boat bridge and rinse yourself in hot water overlooking Himmelbjerget. Take your kayak and sail a morning trip and meet the heron. Enjoy your morning coffee in the pavilion with the wood stove on. Read a book in the double bed overlooking the lake or take the mountain bike and take a ride on the route outside the door. Cozy guest house with kitchen, bathroom on the ground floor and two living rooms with a bed as well as a room on the 1st floor. There's plenty of room and great views. Original condition with old carpets and a few punctured windows. The location is top for cycling and hiking in Søhøjlandet. 5 km to Himmelbjerget through the forest. 1.5 km to Ry station and the cozy harbor. The stairs are steep but with doors that can be closed if there are small children. We have had many great vacation experiences with Airbnb ourselves and want to welcome you!

But noise from traffic must be expected - especially on weekdays, when trucks and tractors are running and at harvest time. It is 2 km to shopping and 7 km to Silkeborg city center. Small annex located in the garden. There is a bathroom, a loft and a living room with a small tea kitchen. The kitchen includes hobs and a combi oven, as well as a coffee machine. The loft has a beautiful view, especially in the evening where you can look at beautiful sunsets and stars. There are 2 mattresses on the loft, and the possibility of a third. There is a sofa bed in the living room that sleeps two people. It is possible to borrow an air mattress and travel bed, just write. NOTE: there is NO Wi-Fi coverage.

The bathroom is located on the ground floor. There's a nice sofa bed and good box mattresses.

If you want to experience Denmark from its beautiful and quiet side, then “Vidkærhøj” is the place for you. The home is part of our property from the 1870s, and was originally an old barn, which we have lovingly restored over the past few years. It is centrally located between Aarhus, Silkeborg and Skanderborg. It is high up here, and if you like, our dog, Aggie, would love to greet you, just as our cats, chickens and rooster are also very curious. We can’t wait to host you 🤗
