Cabin holiday rentals in Sewanee

This was really a beautiful place, it is looked brand new inside and they had a great amount of supplies, everything you would need for a great stay. We gathered in the family room, loved the huge kitchen and high end appliances, and really enjoyed the hut tub, fire pit, pool table, and views. Just a super place at the top of the hill. We stayed for my wife's 60th birthday and had a great experience.

Such a great spot for a cozy, stay in kind of weekend. Lots of good hiking near by as well. Very quiet and peaceful. Had everything we needed. Very responsive and kind host. Would love to come back next year for another stay!

The Pines was a beautiful and peaceful place to stay at! The host was kind and responsive if we had any questions. Some tasty local food spots to try that are nearby would be the High Point and the Mountain Goat Market. The Pines also offers menus of the local restaurants which is pretty neat. If you’re going to Monteagle and looking for somewhere to stay, The Pines is the place!

The home was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The small details made the difference compared to other properties. For example, the towels were thick and soft. The kitchen had measuring cups. The re were small battery powered lanterns that were great at night. The path to the fire pit was lined with solar powered lights. All the small details matched the description of luxurious. We loved watching the wind on the water, turtles sunning themselves, jumping fish, frog songs and blue heron tiptoeing through the water.

This was exactly what we were looking for-a clean, comfortable place with a beautiful view and mountain feel on our way to Savannah to visit family. The weather was perfect for one of the days, and the other day it was rainy and foggy, but we spent that day going to Ruby Falls. It cleared up in the afternoon. We spent evenings around the fire pit in which wood was provided and we brought our own outdoor chairs that were more comfortable than the benches provided. We also grilled out using the grill on the property, and there were plenty of silverware, dishes, glasses, pots and pans etc. Everything was just as pictured. All in all, a wonderful getaway. Loved this place I definitely recommend! It was private but also had other homes nearby so you weren’t completely alone in the woods haha. They recommended amazing hiking spots that my husband and I went to see and it was so fun. We’re from Illinois so it’s mostly corn fields so hiking through mountains and seeing the waterfalls was just an amazing experience. Overall this home was lovely and our hosts were friendly/great people. Must see.

It was a great house with a fantastic view. Hudson was very responsive with any questions we had. We would definitely go back if in the area.

A great scenic stay for a quick night. We had our poodle pup with us and was perfect in the woods camp with other cabins, several cabins have a shower ours did not but it was fun glamping by the fireside at night and played life-size chess before breakfast :) Would stay here again!

Robert and Ruth are extremely friendly and wonderful hosts. Communication was fantastic and they were extremely helpful and accommodating. It was very peaceful and relaxing and short driving distances to so many outdoor attractions. We had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Fiancé an I wanted a private get away, had eveything we needed, amazing view, nice to wake up to the birds chirping.

A trip I’ll remember forever! We went to Sewanee for my brothers graduation from the University of the South. The house was beautiful. Wood interior, lush woods surrounding the property. We fished on the pond and there is even a kayak and a Targer grill where we cooked most dinners! The kitchen is STOCKED - better than any other rental I’ve used. The owners also paid attention to details and have body wash, shampoo, conditioner, make up removing washcloths, toothbrush, laundry detergent, and more! The property owners are incredibly responsive and as sweet as can be! I have ZERO negative things to say. The price was a bit steep in my experience with AirBnB but we were so happy with the trip anyways! The University was an easy drive and we weren’t ready to come home!

The house is beautiful and very clean. The living room is a bit small, but there is a screened in wraparound porch that extends the hang out space. And a fire pit in the backyard- we were too busy to use it- but it would be an awesome hang out.

We have had multiple stays with Ray and Deb and it’s always been a wonderful experience. They are great hosts. The cabin is always clean and perfect for a short getaway

Nice little spot to getaway from the world for a few days. Quiet except for at dusk when the frogs in the pond really let you know that they rule the property. Between dusk and 10 pm they are very vocal. We enjoyed our stay

This was a lot of fun! The house float was comfortable and clean and the land around the lake is beautiful. If you want to play in the lake you will need a boat or jet ski to get out in the water as there is no swimming near the marina. I think there are boats to rent at marina but we didn't look into it. There is a full bar and gift shop that sells the spirits that are distilled in the distillery on the property. The distillery is in an old dam. Can do tours on the weekends which was really cool! Live music was scheduled on Saturdays in the month of June and some Fridays. Not sure if that is a Summer thing or year round thing. We so enjoyed the turtles, water birds and fish and their babies! We will definitely look to stay again when in the area!

Our second stay here. Quiet and peaceful, perfect for our birthday getaway.

The cabin was just as advertised. The Broken Banjo campground is clean, very walkable, and has showers and restrooms within short distance of the cabins. The bathroom at Cabins 5 and 6 share a bathroom which is nice, because only two cabins share the restroom, though a few RVers wandered in them every once in a while. The park is right off the highway, so not totally serene or peaceful, but the further into the park, the quieter it became. There’s a play area for kids, dogs and adults too! It was nice that there’s a Starbucks down the street and other restaurants and retail shops like Walmart in case you need to pick something up. We arrived very late, around 10pm and our envelope with instructions awaited us. Easy check in process, even though our messages on AirBnB app weren’t answered, it’s all good. We love the decor and overall retro theme, thanks for having us!! Would definitely return!

I had a WONDERFUL time at the Cabin Sweet Cabin! Location is perfect if you like peace, serenity and a chance to experience the wonders of nature. I did a lot of hiking to see the nearby falls, which were breathtaking! I found out that there is a paved bike trail nearby. too. Can’t wait to come back with my bike and explore on two wheels!

We had a great stay!! The place is easy to find and feels very quiet and peaceful in nature, I wish we could've stayed a whole week. There are other houses in the area but they are not too close so you have space and it still feels private (just not 100% "in the middle of nowhere" private - we were also here in the winter with no leaves on the trees inbetween). As others mentioned, the stairs going up to the bathroom/bedrooms is more like a ladder so important to keep in mind if you have mobility issues, but we had no problem navigating them. Our dog stayed downstairs and had tons of fun running around outside. There's also some fantastic hikes in the area!! Can't wait to come back again when the weather is warmer to take full advantage of the dock/lake. Thanks for a wonderful weekend away!

Such a darling cabin! It was perfect for our stay and 10 min door to door to University of the South. There were so many nice touches @ the cabin - snacks in kitchen, coffee stocked, great bathroom amenities, comfortable bed, etc! We loved it and will be back. Thank you, Amy!
