Golden Hideaway: Warm, pvt room central to it all

I was in town for a week-long conference at Huntington Place, didn't want to spend a thousand or two on a hotel, so found Andrea's listing in Madison Heights and it worked out great! Easy drive into/out of DT Detroit, found easy parking both places, and slept soundly in a comfy, cozy, clean, well-kept house where I could cook my own meals if I wanted to save a bit more throughout my stay. And all for the cost of just one night my colleagues paid at the Ren Center! I would do it this way again, if I'm next in Detroit, and I recommend Andrea's listing to anyone in a similar situation.

Beautiful Executive Townhome

This was my first experience with Airbnb and Dalibor could not have been more helpful with making me feel comfortable and at ease. He was very responsive. This townhome is as beautiful as the pictures, if not more. Fully furnished, all linens and pots and pans. The complex is private quiet, and close to the highway. Definitely worth the stay.

Everything was just as expected. I was in town for my daughter’s wedding and it was everything I needed. Very quiet neighborhood and a very nice home. The morning amenities were perfect and everything I needed was there. I’d surely recommend this place again

Kristi's place was good. It matched the description exactly and it was very clean. She did an amazing job keeping the shared bathroom clean and tidy. The room was comfortable and well supplied with convenient features. Her drink counter was well stocked and was such a nice addition! Our only complaints were 1) it was kind of noisy. There was a dog barking (couldn't tell if it was inside or outside), and the people who had the room next door were pretty loud. The walls at Kristi's place are thin, and they talked on the phone a lot and almost always on speaker phone, so I could hear both ends of the conversation. And 2) there were a lot of different smells. The bedroom was fine, but the common areas did have a slight animal smell. Also, on our second night there, there was a really strong smell of pot (also, not sure if it was inside or outside). Other than those 2 things, it was a great place to stay and met our needs well.
