Holiday rentals with a fire pit in West Bloomfield Township

Clean and comfortable! Hosts were very friendly and responsive. Plenty of space to accommodate 3 travelers, house was the same as in the pictures. Would stay again!

This was the perfect space for our trip. We were visiting family in the area but it was also an opportunity for me s to relax and unwind. Would definitely stay here again.

This was definitely home away from home! The area was very peaceful with beautiful views, we had everything we needed and is perfect if you have children! Plenty to keep the kiddos busy and having fun while you enjoy your time too. It was hard to leave! 10/10 recommend staying here with family!

This house was absolutely perfect for my husband, my dog, and me. The backyard was so big, well kept, and I sat out there every morning on the deck watching my pup run and play. We didn't get a chance to use the fire pit, but we did get to sit under the trees with my sister and enjoy the afternoon. Both sides of neighbors were friendly and quiet and because of the layout of the lawn, we could also set ourselves up for privacy.

It looks exactly like the photos but the lake is prettier in person. Daniel was very responsive during the entire process and made sure we’d have everything we needed. Made my birthday very special! Definitely plan on booking again in the future.

Love our stay here at this beautiful location. Super cozy and plenty to do to keep you entertained. The kitchen is amazing!! Overall an amazing experience. Will definitely look to stay here again in the future.

AAA++ Martin was an AMAZING host!! We had a very long & exhausting week & decided to book a last minute stay for Memorial Day. He was nearby & offered our family food to eat from his own bbq. Everything was delicious!! He was super friendly, responsive, & made our stay worth it! The property & the lake was beautiful. We sat out by the fire pit with a few guest & had a great time. You won't be disappointed!

Meghan’s place was a perfect location for our needs. Great older home that has been redone and looks fantastic in and out! TVs in every room, stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture and AC worked great! Very walkable neighborhood for our dog and nice backyard. Will definitely stay here again when we are in the area next time.

Nick is a great host. We had a crazy late check in, and he didn’t sign off until he knew we were squared away (2:00 am). The location is nice and close to everything you want to do in downtown, but kinda tucked away and quiet. We would definitely stay at Nick’s again.

Probably the best airbnb experience we’ve ever had!! The place felt homey and had everything you would need. I was even able to make food for thanksgiving!!

We really enjoyed our 4 days at Dana’s. Birmingham is a beautiful neighborhood, very sweet neighbors. Dana’s place was very comfortable, shower was hot, small kitchen was perfect to prepare breakfast. We would definitely feel lucky to stay here again.

Great spot.. small, quaint, peaceful.. little creek and patio.. Not a lot of room but everything that's needed for one and his pup.. A stones throw to a great main street and super restaurants ..

We had a pleasant stay, just a couple small quirks to the place we didn't anticipate, maybe I didn't read the listing close enough, but host was responsive and friendly. Perks were it's a spacious stay and has a comfortable bed. TV and fireplace are nice. Quirks are is a first floor apartment complex with a tenant above and there were banging noises above that kept waking us up. Host responded they'd ask the neighbor to keep down the noise, a great option, however the noise kept happening seemingly every time we tried to sleep. Bath towels are located under the bed in a plastic drawer, which isn't correct from the description given "in dresser" and there were no towels in the bathroom initially, which really confused us. The shower is well water based and has a horrible odor, not much the host can do about this but it made showering quite uncomfortable. I still rated 5 stars due to these being minor quirks, overall the stay was peaceful.

Kyle's place was perfect for our needs. The fully equipped kitchen made it possible for us to enjoy home cooked meals which was nice. The full working laundry 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms was fantastic. It was good to come home & relax after our long days of visiting our brother who was in a hospice in Waterford. What I loved most about Kyle's place was that it felt comfortable, spacious & homely. Thank you Kyle.

We had a great stay at Annie's. She was a very kind and attentive host. We would definitely stay there again. If you are a U of M fan, you couldn't ask for a more convenient walk to the Big House, yet on a quiet street, out of the way. Close to many activities and restaurants. Comfortable beds! (Which made a huge difference after many travel delays.)

Great, clean, and well appointed stay really close to downtown Royal Oak.

My brothers and I with our significant others always get together for a weekend at the Renaissance Festival in Holly and this was literally the perfect cabin for us - close enough that we could go to and from if we needed a break during our long days at the Faire and peaceful enough at night to come back to and relax or play games like we love to do together. Plenty of space that we could all have beds and felt cozy. The lake is beautiful this time of year and even was warm enough that we could have swam after if we wanted or weren’t warn out from our long days. Parking was easy to figure out even with four vehicles. Host was responsive and super helpful and even allowed us to check in early when we realized that we would rather all drive in together last second. (Whoops! Poor planning on my part.) There was even provided water which was lovely as well, and a really nice touch when it comes to well water! Thank you so much and we will be back!

Could not have been happier with our stay here. Anne has created and maintained a very special feeling of place in this cottage. We enjoyed every minute of being here, even jumped in the lake! The cottage intuitively resets your way of living, if even for just a few days. Life slows down…sleep is deeper. The crickets louder. There is a grocery store less than ten minutes away (and Instacart can get you a Target run as well) The kitchen is so nice to cook in, and believe me, you won’t want to leave this place for dinner. We cancelled reservations because we wanted to stay in more. Best sink ever for dishes. Quiet, Simple, Morning and Afternoon Light, Long Stares at the water. Sounds of nature. Home cooked meals. Best dirt roads with wildflowers nearby if you need just one other thing to do. If your life needs this, do that here in this cottage.

This was such a special stay and I can't say enough positive things about Jerald's boathouse on the canal. I only had one night there and hated to leave. The photos don't do the space justice, with so many thoughtful touches, tremendous design, and deliciously comfortable furniture. I arrived to a family of geese with little geeselings swimming by and woke up to the sunrise over the water. I loved the quiet community of the canal, with a few boats quietly cruising by, and just wish I'd had time to take the canals out for a treat. Jerald was so helpful with check in and local recommendations. I loved everything about this beautiful little retreat!

I must say I didn’t get to stay the full time I intended due to a small mishap on my end and when I say Brady was so nice and helpful and fully understanding even refunded me because I couldn’t stay (once again for something on my end) this really restored my hope in humanity! Very professional, kind and easy to communicate with. Would literally respond in seconds when I messaged! I’m Definitely going to book in the summer sometime.

The bathtub with jets and hot tub made our stay very enjoyable.

Staying at Matthew's Place was a delightful experience for us. Nestled in the charm of the 1950s, this fishing cabin brims with character. It's cozy and quaint, yet it doesn't skimp on cleanliness or convenience. Located near the enchanting Village of Clarkston, it offers easy access to local neighborhoods and the downtown area on foot. The serene lake, adorned with ducks, swans, and turtles, provided a peaceful backdrop to our stay. Rick managed to catch a big large- mouth bass, which, in the spirit of catch and release, was returned to its aquatic home. We took advantage of the canoe for a gentle paddle on the lake. We brought our own life vests, though Mathew does provide everything we needed. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable, and we wholeheartedly recommend Matthew's Place to singles, couples, and small families looking for a quaint getaway with a touch of adventure.
