Amazing cozy place! Enjoyed every minute of my stay! Host was super friendly:) Would most definitely like to go back soon!

The pictures did not do this place justice! It was way more beautiful in person! When you first drive in, you are greeted by the cute goats!!! It’s all enclosed and very relaxing and quiet! The cabin was adorable and very well kept! The only downside was the one scorpion we saw! 🤭 can’t stop nature though, and the place was totally worth the scorpion visit. Beautiful and would definitely go back, maybe even try the yurt next time!!!

Rebecca is a lovely host was responded quickly from my initial inquiry to follow up questions. Check in was easy and the space was cozy, clean, peaceful, and my favorite part was getting to feed the cows. I would highly recommend and look forward to returning for a visit.

Second time staying, my 4 year old is obsessed with the ladder to the loft. Beautiful, peaceful spot! Doug is great, he even jumped my car battery🚗

This stay was exactly what my husband I needed! I just sat outside and listened to the birds early in the morning, something I also love doing at home. I could've sat outside all day if it wasn't Texas in June! ha! The cabin itself was just as described. The photos do make it seem a bit bigger but honestly, you don't need bigger for 2 people. We went to Canyon to just spend time on the water. After over doing it the first day, we instead, chose to spend our second full day just enjoying the cabin. We had some hot tub time in the afternoon, played board games for a couple of hours, and just rested! For anyone worried about how close the cabin is to the main house, don't worry! It's positioned for privacy! It was so stinking relaxing and I can't wait to go back.

This was our sixth stay at one of Cheryl’s river houses, and it was just as wonderful as always! Peaceful mornings on the back porch, watching the wildlife, were the perfect escape. My girls had a blast fishing, and I was able to hop on a Zoom meeting with no Wi-Fi issues at all. We never miss a stop at Jo Momma’s—great burgers and under 10 minutes away. Dinner at TJ’s @ The Old Forge in Bandera was delicious (the white gravy is a must!), and Out of the Way Café remains a favorite. Their breakfasts are amazing, and I’m hooked on the chicken tenders and sandwich. Can’t wait for visit #7!

I stayed at John & Suzanne’s place for a couple of months with pets & had an amazing & comfortable time! It’s super peaceful with beautiful sunsets, starry skies & orchards that are great for walking - I walked them almost every day to get my steps in! The birds singing in the mornings made it feel simply magical. I have the Merlin Bird ID app & would regularly clock in 10-12 different bird species almost every morning! No issues with WiFi, neighbors, parking, or mail delivery. Pedernales Falls State Park is nearby, make sure to check it out & schedule a reservation ahead of time unless going after hours. Dripping Springs is the closest town for groceries (H‑E‑B) about 20min drive. Easy access to get to Austin, San Antonio, Fredericksburg, etc. John & Suzanne were friendly & great hosts - I’d definitely stay again :)

We had a great stay at this little cottage. It was peaceful and felt like you were in the middle of nowhere, yet only about 5 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg. Our favorite part were the animal friends that visited the back porch daily. Cute place!

My wife and I took a short vacation away from our kids at Shelly's cabin and it was beautiful, quiet, and restorative. Exactly what we were looking for. The views of the lake are amazing and we spent hours sitting on the screened-in porch.

If you're looking for a peaceful and unique getaway, this is definitely it! It was amazing to see the stars again after living in the city for too long. We loved the nearby Johnson City, it had great food options and we even preferred it to the larger Marble Falls and Fredericksburg. Johnson City Coffee should NOT be missed! The wildlife was fun to see and the wildflowers were really putting on a show. The home had everything we needed for our weekend. The rooftop tub was our favorite! Our only request would be an umbrella for shade when taking an afternoon dip to cool down.

We absolutely loved our stay here! You absolutely get your money’s worth for this stay. We booked it for our honeymoon, and it was the perfect way to relax and wind down after the stress of wedding planning. It was comfortable, clean, relaxing, and very enjoyable to stay at! The private fencing and provided streaming services were greatly appreciated. P.S. We highly recommend getting a bite to eat at the Leaning Pear. It was our favorite restaurant in the area.

We had such a great time staying here! Elizabeth provides great local recommendations and the space is perfect! She even had the artist we were visiting Austin to see playing on the tv when we got there! This was our second time staying here and we will definitely be back

A perfect weekend getaway. Just the peaceful environment we were looking for. The space was clean, cozy, plenty of space. The 7.5 acres was so much fun for our 2 dogs to explore. Absolutely nothing negative to say! Thank you!

Super cute, great space! Comfortable beds and sweet touch with bedside chocolates 😊. Coffee set up and ready to go. Good driveway and the walkway lights were a nice touch. Had to leave early morning to go fishing, but would have loved to explore the farm. Would definitely book again!

They are literally the sweetest people! Breakfast included was such a unique and nice touch! We are extremely appreciative of how responsive they were when something came up! This place was BEAUTIFUL! Definitely right up our alley. We love being in the nature and this gave the perfect feel! Definitely will re-visit.

Justin and Amy were so very friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We actually hung out with them for a couple hours and they drove us around on their Polaris and allowed my wife to feed their horses. I can’t say enough of how clean and well stocked the house was! If you needed it, it was there. My wife Jan and I have stayed in numerous air b&b’s, and this was our favorite!! The whole experience was amazing! Justin went above and beyond to tell me where to go to have the best time. He knew all the best boat ramps and waypoints that peaked our interest. Amy was so friendly and greeted us upon arriving. If we ever decide to take another vacation in the beautiful hill country of Texas… we would definitely want to stay at this location again! Thanks for the awesome stay Justin and Amy!!

The Scenic Hills Getaway is a BEAUTIFUL peaceful cabin overlooking a valley of breathtaking nature! Bitch was an AMAZING host, responsive, proactive, and very friendly. The cabin, itself, was very clean, comfortable, and filled with the helpful amenities and notebook with information on places to visit, things to do and recommendations to some great eats! We totally recommend The Scenic Hills Getaway!

Such a great getaway! Desra’s place was perfect! The deck and pool were so relaxing. We enjoyed swimming while watching deer, birds and squirrels go to the feeder. The House was perfect down to every detail! We would definitely come back!

The cabin is beautiful and set in a great location. It’s very clean and well supplied. Very detailed instructions were available. If I had a complaint it would be the lock box for the key, it took about 15 minutes to get it open and when we left we were unable to lock it at all. Otherwise a perfect getaway.
