The cabin is located on Viken Fjellgård, one hour from Lillehammer, right by idyllic Espedalsvatnet, 720 meters above sea level, and Langsua National Park. Here, you can find peace and quiet, swim, paddle, visit mines, or go on walks. It is a short distance to the highlands, where there are many hiking opportunities, or you can walk from the farm along the water, on trails through forests and fields. There is a cozy outdoor area with a fire pit on the dock by the boathouse, and there is a swimming beach on the other side. Our guests can use our two boats and canoe freely, and we lend out two fishing rods.

Evening and Sunday open grocery store Mesnali 3 min. Bed linen and towels can be rented and must be pre-booked - price NOK 250/£20/€25 per set. Feel free to bring your own. New cabin built in 2023, with immediate proximity to Gålå Ski Resort, with alpine slopes and cross-country trails. 5-10 min walk to Høyt og Lavt Gålå (climbing park), alpine facilities, cross-country trails right outside the door and 5 min walk to Peer-Gynt play. This cabin is perfect for friends, families with children, and has 2 bathrooms, 5 bedrooms as well as a living room and kitchen. There are 3 double beds, 1 bunk bed and 1 single bed. Outside you have a lovely view from the terrace with a cozy fire pit and seating.

The cabin consists of a kitchen with wood stove +2 hobs, bathroom with shower and toilet, loft and living room with double sofa bed. Heated with wood and electricity. The old summer barn of Hovelsrud Gård is idyllically located between Mjøsa and a rolling grain field – a simple and unique place for those who want to get close to nature and enjoy the tranquility of Helgøya. The house is best suited for a couple or a small family with up to two children. Inside there is a bedroom and an open living room.
