Grand Canal House in Harlingen

The house offers three bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom. It’s understated elegant interiors have been published in the UK House and Garden and the Residence interior magazines. Guests get to use the grand blue room with velvet clad walls and the souterrain kitchen with wood burning stove. There is a peaceful city garden with BBQ and outdoor seating. In the winter one can enjoy cosy evenings besides the various fireplaces, long dinners in the kitchen or baths in one of the bathrooms.

Lyts Kastieltsje, a quiet cottage in an orchard

Lyts Kastieltsje is a short walk from the Waddenzee, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest tidal area on Earth. The cottage was once part of the cooling barn for the old fruit farm. It is surrounded by just over a hectare of gardens, orchards and meadow which provide a home for our three sheep, bees and many species of birds. The orchards contain plum, quince, medlar and different varieties of apple and pear trees. We also share the place our dog Jack, 10 ducks and some chickens.

Everyone will be happy in this family-friendly park. In the colder seasons you can relax in the in-house sauna or sit comfortably in front of the fireplace.

Idyllic cottage by the river

The 300-year-old, cozy house is located directly on the river Dokkumer Ee in a friendly neighborhood. From the terrace (also usable as a parking space) you can see ships passing by. You can visit the mill and buy groceries at the bakery around the corner. There is a small local history museum, refreshments and a flower shop. The cities of Dokkum and Leeuwarden are easily accessible, as are the Wadden Sea coast and the ferry ports to the islands of Ameland and Schiermonikoog.

Guesthouse De Wetterwille

Guesthouse De Wetterwille was originally a garage with an upper floor, but has now been converted into a guesthouse with all the amenities of a modern studio. The bathroom has a spacious shower cabin, bathroom furniture and toilet. The small but cozy living room is furnished with a complete kitchen with stove, fridge and oven, a small dining area and two armchairs. On the upper floor with loft is a double box spring. You have a private entrance and a simple patio.

It combines compact charm with modern luxury. Although it is a compact space, every inch is cleverly and carefully decorated to create a cozy, warm atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. Although the space is cozy and cleverly decorated – typical of a Tiny House, it offers everything for a cozy stay.

Smederij Sterk Accommodation

Lodging "Smederij Sterk" is located in the old city forge of J. Sterk. The monumental building dates from 1907 and is located in the middle of the city center, close to museums, restaurants, cozy shopping streets and the station. The accommodation has its own entrance, a living room with its own kitchen, a bedroom and a private bathroom with shower and toilet. The lodging overlooks and borders a beautiful square where you can also sit outside.

This cozy house is within walking distance of the center (15 minutes) and shopping square (4 minutes) with various supermarkets / shops. It is a single-family house with a lovely south-facing garden, so you can enjoy the sun. In the street is a playground and plenty of parking. The Zamenhofpark is also a 3-minute walk away. The living room has a TV with Chromecast and the kitchen is fully equipped (+ Air fryer!).
