Grand Canal House in Harlingen

The house offers three bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom. It’s understated elegant interiors have been published in the UK House and Garden and the Residence interior magazines. Guests get to use the grand blue room with velvet clad walls and the souterrain kitchen with wood burning stove. There is a peaceful city garden with BBQ and outdoor seating. In the winter one can enjoy cosy evenings besides the various fireplaces, long dinners in the kitchen or baths in one of the bathrooms.

Lyts Kastieltsje, a quiet cottage in an orchard

Lyts Kastieltsje is a short walk from the Waddenzee, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest tidal area on Earth. The cottage was once part of the cooling barn for the old fruit farm. It is surrounded by just over a hectare of gardens, orchards and meadow which provide a home for our three sheep, bees and many species of birds. The orchards contain plum, quince, medlar and different varieties of apple and pear trees. We also share the place our dog Jack, 10 ducks and some chickens.

This beautiful house right on the dike can accommodate up to 6 people. The centerpiece is the spacious terrace with its breathtaking view of the IJsselmeer. Whether spending time in the sun or watching the numerous surfers, sailing boats or water birds. Everyone really gets their money's worth here. The house was furnished with a lot of love to a high standard. Appliances such as a Bora hob and a Quooker hot water tap were installed in the kitchen. We look forward to seeing you.

Welcome to our cozy guest house, located in old cheese sheds and lovingly renovated in 2022. The house is comfortable, sustainable and equipped with every comfort – with underfloor heating, air conditioning per room and a complete kitchen. Outside, you can enjoy your own garden with a deck and SUP. Perfectly located, close to the Wadden Sea, the Lauwersmeer, Dokkum and the boat to Schiermonnikoog or Ameland. The Boothuis is located directly on open water and is newly 2022 modernly furnished for a pleasant stay and equipped with all facilities. Here you can walk and cycle along the water or through the woods. Museum or shopping, this is already 3 km away. It is also possible to rent a fishing boat/sloop/sup/sailboat/bicycles/a charging station for charging the car/hottube.

Smederij Sterk Accommodation

Lodging "Smederij Sterk" is located in the old city forge of J. Sterk. The monumental building dates from 1907 and is located in the middle of the city center, close to museums, restaurants, cozy shopping streets and the station. In our yard is this beautiful newly built gypsy wagon! This pipo wagon has a new kitchen, a bed and a bathroom with shower and toilet. The Frisian forests are ideal for beautiful bike rides and walks. In addition, Drachten, Leeuwarden and Groningen are in the vicinity. The pipo wagon has a view over the countryside. There are several hiking trails and cycling routes that pass the plot, such as the Friese Wouden path and routes 51, 21 and 34.
