This newly renovated holiday apartment in a detached house is located in a quiet and peaceful location in the heart of Horneburg, tucked away at the end of a traffic-free street and just a few minutes' walk from the train station and large supermarkets. The apartment has 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed, 2 single beds, and a large sofa that can also be used for a comfortable sleep if desired. A new kitchen is equipped with a table and six chairs, as well as all other necessary kitchen utensils.

Enjoy the special flair of a 200-year-old, thatched farmhouse, one of the most beautiful half-timbered houses in the village. You are welcomed by a former stable, now a hall-like hall with a special atmosphere: Here you will find the small, stylish apartment, nestled in a beautiful natural ensemble. This house became famous in 1976 when the famous actress Elisabeth Flickenschildt wanted to realize her dream as a farmer in the countryside here, but died in 1977.

New real wood parquet and Italian floor tiles meet the historic beams of the farmhouse here. The farm has direct access to a beautiful country road along the orchards. Especially in the flowering season, it is ideal for extensive cycling tours along the fruit trees. The nearby Elbe also creates a maritime flair.

Idyllic, tranquility & relaxation – all this is offered by our sustainable and organic shepherd trolley. Caravan muff ade, because here it smells pleasantly of wood. Natural materials create a particularly pleasant atmosphere in which you feel at home – perhaps even better. Cozy bunk beds, a small pantry kitchen and a table with homely seating for up to 4 people complete the whole thing. Bathroom, shower & toilet are accessible in the main house.

Welcome to Altes Land, Germany's largest fruit growing area with its numerous orchards. Here you can relax wonderfully, especially cycling through apple orchards or to the nearby Elbe. For shopping, we recommend the Hanseatic city of Hamburg (about 45 minutes by car) or the cozy cities of Stade (20 minutes) and Buxtehude (12 minutes). Picture this: morning coffee on your private rooftop terrace, geese flying in formation over the marshes below. Sunset cocktails with nothing but sky and water. Our 102-sqm apartment in a 1911 farmhouse sits in a real nature reserve — not a hotel, not a resort. Hamburg is 45 minutes away if you want the city. The Elbe and the marshes are right outside your door. If authenticity matters more to you than perfection — welcome.

Northern Lights apartment overlooking the Elbe

Our vacation apartment Nordlicht is located in the attic (2nd floor) and has a great view of the Elbe and the nearby orchards. The apartment has a loggia from which the passing ships on the Elbe can be admired. The large skylights also invite you to look at the busy shipping traffic. The dike is in the immediate vicinity and invites you to take a walk. The Elbe cycle path leads directly past the dike.

Cycling between the Altes Land and Hamburg

With a great passion for mid-century style and bicycles of all kinds, we have decorated our 1970s bungalow. From here you can easily explore and experience the old country with Hamburg, but also Buxtehude, Stade and the Elbe up to Cuxhaven. But of course, the house is just as suitable as a temporary home office (Airbus near Stade + Finkenwerder) or for just a relaxing time out in the countryside.
