Our nature house consists entirely of natural building materials and uses the synergy effects of radiant heat and solar energy. The untreated wood is constructed according to the system of Bio-Solar-Haus, whereby no paint or other preservatives were processed. The solid wood floors throughout the house are oiled. In addition to natural wood such as stone pine and oak, other natural materials such as natural stone from the region (Jura marble) have been processed. The construction of the Bio-Solar house allows a natural air circulation and thus dispenses with the disadvantages of ventilation systems. There are no convection formed due to a built-ceiling and wall radiant heating.Through the house-in-house system (without vapor barrier), the water vapor can diffuse freely to the outside, causing no condensation and mold. Given the low heating energy demand in the house and the use of solar radiation, no fossil fuels are needed. Solar energy is the main energy source, only in winter can be heated if necessary with the wood stove. Egloffstein Castle - Rock apartment

Historic, lovingly renovated, bright and quiet flat on two floors in Egloffstein castle. The flat can only be accessed via the idyllic courtyard. In the entrance area: dining room and kitchen. The cosy living room/bedroom has a wood-burning stove and leads to the battlements, high above the valley. The bedroom and bathroom, as well as 2 additional beds, are located on the upper floor. The flat is an ideal starting point for hiking, biking or climbing the rocks in the immediate vicinity.

Spices are available, but you have to bring your own coffee. In summer, the service water is heated via the solar system. It may take some time for the heating to start when it is cloudy.

Die Wohnung befindet sich in einem ehemaligen fränkischen Bauernhof, am Waldrand im schönsten Gebiet der fränkischen Schweiz. In der Engelschanze befinden sich 2 separate Wohnungen, die aber auch als Einheit für 8-10 Personen gebucht werden können. Der große Garten kann von allen Gästen genutzt werden. Er erstreckt sich über den angrenzenden Wald, in dem sich auch eine Hängematte zur allgemeinen Nutzung befindet. Zu jeder Wohnung gehört eine eigene separate Terasse mit Ausblick.
