This Thai-style, private cabin is 1.4 miles (use our bikes!) from the Rockport beach and the town center, making this a lovely place for couples, families, and business travelers. You’ll enjoy the comfortable and even luxurious accommodations inside of our Thai inspired guesthouse. The cabin is nestled between a mix of homes and trailers, but a high fence and gate provides you with your own hideaway.
“This was the perfect spot for a family getaway! Everything was amazing from communication prior to our trip all the way through to checkout. The house is just as adorable as pictured! It’s a bit further from the beach than we’ve stayed in the past (still a very short drive) but we loved that the house was fully gated and in a quiet area. My kids loved having the loft all to themselves. My husband loved that the fridge came fully stocked with drinks for purchase. Lol. I loved how Elizabeth had thought of literally everything. Toothbrushes, shampoo, lotion, feminine products, first aid supplies, board games, beach towels and toys...you name it, she’s provided it! Highly recommend!”
Tin Cottage by the Sea is in Old Town Port Aransas and is located just blocks from the beach, cafes, and island entertainment. The cottage is tucked away in an artist mecca, sharing a large yard with the owner of a pottery studio, Potters on Cotter. A very magical place.
“Brenda is a lovely host! She was watching for us to arrive and was there to greet us immediately. She showed us her shed where she kept the bikes, chairs and boogie boards that are available to use. The tin cottage is just the right size for 2. It is extremely clean and has just what you need to cook. We were able to bring food to grill just outside our door. We also enjoyed dining outside on her quiet table. It is a wonderful location where you can walk to town or the beach. Thank you Brenda for a much needed getaway! We will be back!”

“If you need to get away and hit the reset button on life, THIS is the place to stay! IT brings the basic simple joys of life together with just enough comforts and amenities to truly GET AWAY and relax, regroup. It's almost like a luxurious, yet blank canvas. When you enter the walls of Camp Coyoacan, all the distractions of the world just seem to disappear and allow you to truly relax and reflect. No TV, no "noise" of the world. All the things you love about the peacefulness of camping, but with the relief of a cool A/C and a few simple amenities to make camping less work and more relaxation. These brilliant little tents are like medicine for the soul. Location couldn't be more perfect to pretty much anything you'd want to to in Port A. It's wonderful to spend a day or evening in the relaxing laid back pool area as a change of pace from the days at the ocean. The community private restrooms/shower rooms are plenty and we never had to wait to use one when needed. I felt very safe on the grounds even going out in the middle of the night for a walk to the potty. They also have a family run restaurant/bar with a cute setup out back for family and friends to hang out, right next door which was great for dinner on the night we checked in since it stays open later than most in town and we didn't even have to leave again. One thing I was worried about before going was how long of a walk it may be from parking to our tent and hauling all our STUFF (we have kids. kids = packing lots of stuff). It isn't far at all and they have a couple of perfect little wagon type things available to use to haul your things back and forth that greatly limited our number of trips. We extended our stay by a couple of days while there and Craig was very hospitable and easygoing with making that happen as well as easy to communicate with . This trip was for sun, water and rest but now I'm very hopeful to squeeze in another getaway when the weather gets cooler and go back here and spend more time hanging out outdoors enjoying more of the fort area, picnic tables, fire pit, easy chairs and game area. There's so much more relaxing to be done at Camp Coyoacan for me!!”
