We had a wonderful stay at Nancy Mountain Bearadise! The house is beautiful, cozy, and well-equipped, offering all the comfort and warmth our family was hoping for. The peaceful mountain setting was the perfect escape, and we especially appreciated the attention to detail in every part of the home. Communication with the host was excellent—friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. We truly felt welcomed and cared for. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. Elisabeth’s description of the property was very accurate. I made sure to read all the info provided before and after booking. It was a perfect, peaceful , and cozy stay. My husband and I, our daughter, and two dogs were welcomed and comfortable. Kitchen was clean and well supplied as was every other space. Any questions were answered promptly and efficiently. I had never been in an inflatable hot tub before but all three of us are sold and wanting to get one for home now. Very nice and just what we were needing. Thank you!!!!

Some parts of the home showed some age, but overall, it was a great place to stay.

This place was so peaceful and relaxing. We stayed on the dock or around the fire pit. Mornings were spent drinking coffee on the deck with the gorgeous lake views. Never even turned the TV on. The house was clean and well stocked. There’s lots to do in the area as well. Definitely will be back.

This was an absolutely wonderful vacation for us. Probably one of the best Air B&B we’ve stayed at! Mimi is thoughtful and accommodating to her guests! We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and she was nice enough to surprise us with a birthday card! Hot tub was wonderful, the place was clean and we loved the fact that it had a washer/dryer and a dishwasher. We fished the lake all weekend, had a blast! We will return in the future!

Ideal for families wanting to rest relax and make endless memories. Accommodated our kids including the teens. Caitlin was extremely welcoming and the cabin was better than described. Lots of games, pool table, ping pong and stuff to keep busy on rainy days. Neat little river getaway when weather permitted. The river was indeed cold but most definitely core memories made! Small fish for our outdoorsy dudes. Definitely an amazing weekend.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Napaw Mountain, a charming cabin nestled in the mountains. The name, a sweet tribute to Nana and Papaw, set the tone for a cozy and welcoming experience. The cabin offers a great balance of seclusion and convenience—peaceful and relaxing, yet close to hiking trails and diners just a short drive away. The hosts provided thoughtful touches like marshmallows and roasting sticks for the firepit, which is surrounded by soft lighting, creating a lovely evening atmosphere. We enjoyed the on-site hike to the water, and dipping our feet in the cool water afterward was the perfect reward. The hammocks on the deck were perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The cabin is clearly made with love, and the hosts go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It’s a peaceful retreat ideal for those looking to disconnect and enjoy nature. Overall, a great place to relax and recharge.

We were having our family Christmas get together and was so happy that the house was still beautifully decorated for Christmas. That made our gathering extra special! The house was perfect for our group!

We loved our stay at this wonderful retreat at Highlands! We were 5 gals new to the area and the hosts were amazing from start to finish; earlier than expected check-in, gorgeous surroundings on a lake with views and lush greenery all around! The cabin was clean and spacious, wonderfully large kitchen and extra towels. We couldn't have asked for anything more in our stay! We highly recommend staying here and hope to return one day soon!! Don't miss out on this great opportunity to see the Highlands, but especially stay at this wonderful cabin on a beautiful lake!

Awesome place to get away and relax. The kids had tons to do, the house and dock are full of amenities, and the hosts were super helpful and responsive. We hope to make it an annual tradition!

Huckleberry Hill was delightful. Nestled in a mossy woodland landscaped with flowers , a peaceful escape. Just minutes from Clayton for restaurants and shops and also 15 minutes from rafting and hiking . Hosts were available to answer questions readily. Neat and clean with lots of amenities and a detailed house manual . A real gem

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days and absolutely loved it. The rooms offer beautiful views of the mountains, and the three-season porch was a wonderful spot to relax. The kitchen was fully stocked, which made it easy for us to prepare several quick meals during our stay. We especially enjoyed the deck area, which leads directly to a trail—perfect for peaceful post-lunch walks. The whole setting felt serene and well thought-out, making our stay both comfortable and memorable. Just a heads-up: the last mile to the house is a gravel road. However, we had no issues getting there with our small rental sedan.

We had a fantastic stay at the cabin last week. We especially loved the back porch- picnic table for outdoor meals and the big swing was awesome! We walked from the cabin to the start of the Cliffside Lake Trail- what a great location!

We had a great stay at Carolyn’s cabin! It was away from everything, which some may not like, but that’s exactly how we like it. It forces you to get creative and just enjoy the simple things, like the sounds of nature. She had beautiful flowers and plants on the deck, which brought in lots of hummingbirds. The beds were comfy, the kitchen and bathroom had extras for you to use, along with high quality pots and pans. (Stainless steel is all we use). The drive was steep, but our truck did just fine. Our dog enjoyed it all as well. 🐾

A very nice place that is a fit for two. Had everything you need with a screened in porch. The driveway is gravel and next to another house that had several cars at it that made it hard to park close to the house. Had a nice little pond with nice views.

The mountain view is simply magical — watching the sunsets each evening was a true highlight of our stay. The house is beautifully designed, with incredible taste and thoughtful attention to every little detail — you can truly feel the love and care that went into it. Everything we could possibly need was there, and even more. We felt completely at home — or maybe even better than home! Beautiful location with beautiful views…Riley our Australian shepherd loved all the walking and hiking…we would love to come back in the fall …can’t thank you enough for thinking of everything.

Heather’s place was a great retreat! The cabin was well appointed with interesting decor and a comfortable bed. She had everything one needs for a restful stay from the snacks in the cupboard to the drinks in the fridge. The shower had good water pressure with hot water. Plenty of clean, soft towels were set out ready for you. The landscape had to be my favorite! She takes great pride in offering a variety of flowering plants in the front garden. The moss garden was my favorite! It reminded me of my childhood and playing in the woods. The moss was always my carpet in my fairy home.😁 There are lots of seating outside to accommodate your nature soaking. It rained when we were there and so we did not use the fire chimney but it was a nice feature given the right time. We definitely be back to the Locust Log Cabin whenever we want a quick getaway. I highly recommend staying at the tiny cabin. I have stayed at Pam's cabin several times now and I'm never disappointed. It's clean,quiet, comfortable, and peaceful. It's only minutes away from some beautiful lakes. Love this place!

We loved our stay here. It was clean and in a prime location for access to Caesar’s Head State Park, Tablerock State Park and Jones Gap State Park. After hiking, it was nice to come back to a peaceful and private escape where we might be greeted with a deer or two. We ended up choosing to cook for two of our three nights. The kitchen was stocked with all the dishes we might need and all the appliances were new. One drawback was the lack of curtains to keep the sun coming in during the morning, but overall a great find.

The cabin is located in a close proximity to the Jocasse lake, only 10 min away. The cabin itself was clean, comfortable and had everything you would need on you stay at the lake. Our friends were staying at the state park and we visited with them every day. We only used the cabin for the good night sleep after day's fun. Thank you Megan for a home away from home.

This is a beautiful, clean and well appointed residence set in the trees with incredible views. The space is very open with large windows out to phenomenal views of the mountain and a comfortable outdoor seating area. The home has everything that we needed and nothing else which was fantastic since there was no clutter. The linens were lovely and the entire aesthetic very clean. The driveway is a bit steep so definitely better to arrive in daylight is possible so you can get accustomed to that but once you get a good start at the bottom and stay consistent on the gas the existing is no issue. The host was helpful and responsive to all questions. Also Amazon delivers here in case you forgot anything. Finally, the area is great if you want peace and privacy with the options for restaurants, and activities within 20 mins drive up of down the main road. Hope to return! Thank you
