Our apartment is located in Hohegeiß, a district of Braunlage. Hohegeiß is centrally located in the Harz Mountains at 640 meters above sea level. It is a place of relaxation for vacationers seeking peace and quiet. In summer, it is ideal for hiking and mountain biking. In winter, ski resorts are available in the village and nearby. There are excursion possibilities, for example, to Goslar, Wernigerode and Quedlinburg. The guest fee of €3.00/night for adults is charged in cash on site.

Nevertheless, the center of Walkenried is within walking distance. Upstairs of Villa Meier is the almost 120 sqm apartment. The minimalist decor with subtle colors, lots of natural light and warm wood accents creates a quiet atmosphere to unwind.

"Waldbungalow Fuchs und Elster" (Fox and Elster Forest Bungalow) was exactly what drew me out of the big city back to the province and still exerts a magical attraction on me. On short notice, I reconstructed this once dilapidated bungalow into a gem for nature lovers.

The sauna invites you to relax after a busy, sporty day.
