Waterfront holiday rentals in West Dorset District

Wonderful place to stay, we throughly enjoyed our week away. The apartment is very spacious, has great views and everything you need. There is a bus stop right outside, which we found handy and the train station is only a 20 min walk into town. We didn’t have the best weather to make use of the patio furniture as much as we’d have liked, but the time we did spend outside was enjoyable and peaceful. Dawn and Richard were great hosts, and the personal touches were a lovely thought. We would definitely stay again.

Sebastian’s flat is in a perfect location. I chose it as my husband can’t walk long distances and everything was really nearby. No need to use the car if you want a break from driving. Beautifully comfortable, with lots of extras provided. We’ll be back! Thank you x

The apartment was rented on behalf of visiting family members and ideally situated with close proximity to where we live in Minehead. The host has obviously put in a lot of time and effort to create a welcoming environment with a variety of nice touches, from pleasant room fragrances to decorations featuring areas of Minehead. Although it was primarily used as a base for sleeping and getting ready for daily excursions, we found the kitchen to be well equipped and spacious. Parking was a breeze, and the supply of a parking pass much appreciated. Despite the stairs to the second floor, we found it manageable and scenic views well worth the effort.

Really nice modern apartment tucked up under the roofline of a classic building, with great views out over the beach and bay. Clean and tidy throughout, and only two things you should be aware of before booking (and both also as noted in the host's description, so there isn't anything new here): first, the fifty-odd stairs to get up to the top floor, be wary if you have heavy bags or lots of suitcases or bad knees; and second, the limited headroom in the upper attic master bedroom. But if you are willing to accept those two things (which we were), its a great place to stay, handy for railway station, easy walking to the town's historic areas, and with the beach right across the road. We enjoyed our stay in Weymouth, and loved the coastal scenery. And Rachel was very helpful and responsive throughout.

A fabulous apartment in a fantastic location. The place was stylish, very comfortable and oozed quality. Jose was a very responsive, friendly host. The guests I brought had a perfect first stay in Topsham and are already planning their next visit.

The best place I have booked during my trip in the UK. Its calm, we can hear the birds in the morning. The sun gets in easily and lights the place well. Many nice walks close by. The host is the most welcoming. I hope to go back there.

Lovely house with the added bonus of a parking space. The house was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. It was very well stocked with everything you could want and it's a very easy short walk to the beach. I absolutely would recommend this.

We had a great time at Dibbens Townhouse. So well located - just a couple of minutes from the quay, and surrounded by lovely restaurants. The house is really spacious and very comfortable. Everything you could need. There can be a bit of external noise - both from people on the high street, and from seagulls - so I used earplugs as others had mentioned on the first night to help me get to sleep. It was much quieter on the second night. Definitely want to come back - sadly the weather turned so we didn’t do what we were planning to on our last day, and due to a recent operation I wasn’t able to try out the amazing looking bath!! Would highly recommended a stay here. Thank you for having us.

We were absolutely delighted with our stay in the Nook. Such a beautiful setting and cosy, comfortable accommodation, with everything we could possibly need. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed a relaxing soak in the bath, followed by a hot drink in front of the log fire. I note the quality of the decor and crockery etc. we also very much enjoyed a walk around the garden. Such an idyllic location. Special thanks to Jennifer for offering such a wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful week at the cottage. The village is lovely and the cottage is so close to the Square and Compass pub. Very comfortable accommodation and the views are amazing. Would definitely recommend staying here.

This was a great location for our stay near Sidmouth where we had friends visiting over the weekend. Sidbury is a charming English village just outside Sidmouth, with a lot of traditional thatched cottages. The property has a lovely little garden where we sat and enjoyed the scenery and listened to the stream running past. It was the perfect place for a long weekend getaway to rest and recuperate.

We had a truly wonderful few days at Mel's amazing place in Topsham - we didn't want to leave! The cottage is perfect - it has everything you could possibly need and it's just a stone's throw from the beautiful quayside and fabulous shops and restaurants of Topsham. We thoroughly enjoyed walking the local area and got the bus to Exeter (so easy) - eating out locally was a real joy, so many places to choose from. Mel's home is cosy and beautifully decorated. If you're thinking about a trip to this area book it now! We will be back.

Three of us and the dog stayed at David’s cottage and we had a wonderful time. The place was spotless when we entered, it was everything we needed. David was very communicative and helpful. We spent a lot of time in the garden as luckily the weather was in our favour and it was fenced in so the dog could run around with furniture for us to use. The cottage is in a perfect location, off of the main road so it was quiet and peaceful and just down the road from the sandbanks which we visited frequently. I highly recommend anyone interested in staying here I haven’t got a single fault! :)

I have just enjoyed a four night stay at Grey Joy. A beautifully presented and perfectly located cosy house. It has everything you need including a lovely outside space. Grey Joy is a few foot steps from Chesil beach and next door to The Cove pub. I could not have been happier with this little Air B&B

We had a great stay. The flat was as described and well set up for a toddler. There were even toys to play with.

Our second stay here and it won’t be our last ! Very spacious, extremely comfortable and sparkling clean.Everything thing works extremely well. Fab kitchen with everything you need. Comfortable furniture and easy to use TV. Enormous comfortable bed and very user friendly bathroom. Definitely not exclusively for people with access problems but for my husband in a mobility scooter it was perfect. Easy and safe parking and perfect location. Are you getting the vibes that we liked it ! We are looking forward to coming back ! 😀😀

The apartment was in a beautiful location with stunning views of the bay from both the bedroom and down on the decking / hot tub. The apartment was spotless and could tell no expense was spared when creating this space. It had everything you could need in the kitchen, as well as lots of little extras which make all the difference. We were lucky to have beautiful weather so felt like we were on holiday for the 2 days we were there when on the loungers on the private decking. Wouldn’t change anything and would definitely stay at Bay View again! Thank you Lisa for a wonderful, relaxing stay!

Chris' apartment was a great find. We stayed for a month and booked after our previous arrangements were cancelled. we are delighted with the apartment and the location. The place was clean and bright, very comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It was also beautifully decorated, with lovely touches, great guidebooks and some nice breakfast items for our first morning. Chris is a great host. His guidebook and instructions are invaluable - I would highly recommend anyone to take the time to read them before arriving. He has taken a lot of time and effort into putting the information together and it makes life so much easier and certainly adds to the enjoyment of your stay.

We had a lovely holiday in this beautiful and very spacious apartment. Everything was spotlessly clean and worked well. Claire's communication was great - quick, clear and understanding. We love the West Cliff area of Bournemouth and highly recommend for families. The only downside was that it being on the second floor of a tall, old property - there were lots of steps up and down!

Beautiful apartment with stunning views. brand new bathroom with walk in shower and lovely Neal's Yard products which smell amazing. Welcome pack of food goodies including milk, butter, croissants cheese, jam, marmalade and a bowl full of fresh fruit. Couldn't have asked more from our hosts Lynne and Neal. I’ve stayed at this property before many years ago when it was first listed so this was a return trip because of how good it was the first time. It’s great to see its still in exactly the same condition it was all those years ago. Is quite simply one of the most beautiful apartments there is. The location is incredible and it has been decorated with such care and thought. The photos don’t really do it justice even though they are great too. It’s a place you will visit and think “ I would love to live here” Modern with a hint of style overlooking the sea, you can’t really ask for anything more. A lovely touch of being able to check out later was the icing on absolutely wonderful trip. This one isn’t to be missed!

A wonderful place to stay right in the heart of West Bay. The apartment had everything you need and was spotless. The welcome gifts were a lovely gesture. We would thoroughly recommend staying here and we will be back.
