This a lovely cosy, quirky little home. It is clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay and thought Julia the host was exceptionally helpful and responsive. We will absolutely return.

Brilliant stay! Accommodation was perfect, pristine, had everything you need. The hot tub was amazing, lots of games and books available to use. The prosecco and chocolate provided on arrival was a nice touch :) Modern tech was great! Was able to login to our Netflix, prime etc. blue tooth speakers were fab too! Mark was very welcoming, informative and responsive! Leisure centre was good - kids loved the pool! Even had a dip in the lake and played in the sand. Pub food was excellent but doesn’t serve food everyday, so check and book! We would love to come again!!

Fantastic lodge and lovely location! Everything you could possibly need is included and it’s decorated beautifully. The only thing I could ask in future is if there was a vacuum net for the hottub as it can get debris in from the surrounding trees.

A stunning interior and gorgeous views. Zero noise pollution. Nice and spacious for 2 guests; plenty of storage space which doesn’t take up any unnecessary room. I absolutely loved the vanity I’ll be taking notes for my own house! Host Nathalie was super friendly and welcoming. Wouldn’t change a thing, for sure will return!

The Lodge was perfect. It had everything we needed throughout our stay. We loved the layout of the kitchen and living space which made socialising very easy. The grounds are beautiful with lots of space for activities if the weather allows. Although we aren't really hot tub people, it was emaculate and under a shelter so we could use it even if the rain started. We would highly recommend this to anyone. We would definitely stay again.

Very clean and well appointed lodge, which was ideal for the needs of 4 separate guests. Hot Tub and Pool table were an added bonus! Recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! As a couple and large dog, we felt very secure and relaxed. The wood fired hot tub was fantastic, and the edition’s sauna was a fantastic bonus. Lots of great walking routes within a short drive away, too. The finishing touches like the welcome paper a guidebook show real care and consideration for their guests. We’d love to come back!

Staying at the Burrow felt like being on a peaceful retreat. The accommodation itself is really cleverly and beautifully designed and had everything we needed, along with a lot of thoughtful touches. Having our own corner of the field felt luxurious, and we loved sitting out on the decking and watching it get dark from the wood fired hot tub. It was spotless and we felt really looked after. We appreciated being able to walk from the door without having to drive, and the bespoke OS map was really handy for finding a route.

Jacks lodge was very clean, quiet and cosy. It’s also had everything you could need in there. Also Jack provided clear instructions on the location of the lodge as there are a few. It’s a good location to the Lake District and perfect for walkers and dog owners. My dog loved the lake and walk by the beach which was within 5 minutes of the lodge. And lake Windermere just an hour away. I would love to visit again sometime.

The perfect getaway shepherds hut, really cosy and lovely interior in a beautiful surrounding with lot’s of cute sheep :)

If you are looking for a place for rejuvenation and away from hustle and bustle of life, then book this place without a second thought.. this property completely exceeded our expectations from start to finish..!! Where do I even start.. place is spacious, surrounded by beautiful views.. hosts are very friendly.. we had come to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and they had set up a nice decoration for her.. so thoughtful of them.. we absolutely loved every minute of the stay there.. wish could stay longer.. little one had the best birthday experience watching so many animals around.. really looking forward to come back.. just s little advice would be to carry groceries and other stuff if possible as the nearest superstore is nearly 4 miles away and that too isn’t very well stocked.. you do get basic stuff though.. this was the only issue we faced..

The lodge and surroundings were absolutely lovely—comfortable, well-maintained.The view from the lodge is wonderful.excellent amenities provided. Proper instructions were given by rob.There is a play area and stream.Kids had a wonderful time We hope to return in the future and will gladly recommend the lodge to everyone.

We had a wonderful stay at Brenda’s pod! The location was perfect, surrounded by nature and full of peaceful farm vibes, which made for a really relaxing getaway with the family. We especially enjoyed the BBQ area and spent a lovely evening cooking and chatting outdoors. The pod itself was cozy and well-equipped, and Brenda was a fantastic host,very responsive, helpful, and kind throughout our stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful, nature-filled setting!

We stayed here for 2 nights after our mini wedding. The location was perfect and the layout of the cabins meant you had privacy all around you. The cabin was very modern and immaculate and we felt very relaxed during our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook while we were there and the whole experience was just lovely. Hosts were excellent and very responsive to any questions we had. We were sad to leave, we definitely recommend and hopefully get back some time.

We had a wonderful 5 day stay! The caravan was perfect for our family of four (plus our dog) — cozy, spacious, and full of thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. What really stood out was the incredible attention to detail, especially for our pup — treats, a towel, and even a blanket were waiting for her. It was so heartwarming and showed how much care went into everything. Our host was amazing — Sam sent us great recommendations in advance for places to eat and things to do, which made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. The fresh flowers and duck food left for us were such a lovely surprise — it truly felt like a personal and welcoming experience. We’re so grateful and would absolutely love to come back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm, pet-friendly getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay here! We thought the room had everything we needed and it was in the perfect walking distance to cafes, shops and restaurants! Such a beautiful area to explore! Would definitely stay again!

Such a beautiful location and place to stay. David couldn’t have been more helpful and was always happy to light the fire for the hot tub so it was ready for us getting back. Would highly recommend as a place to be able to switch off completely. Couldn’t fault it as all.

Absolutely amazing stay here, just what we needed to get away from city life, scenery was beautiful, hot tub was amazing, very clean, we just loved every second of it, we didn't want to come home! Thank you Catherine for having the prosecco and banners up for us on arrival , it was a lovely suprise for my partners birthday. We will definitely be back!

We had an incredible stay at the Roost. The perfect relaxing getaway. Most of the time, the only sounds we could hear were sheep, chickens and the sound of a trickling stream. The house itself was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we needed. Shirley couldn't have done more to make our stay comfortable, and I hope we get the opportunity to visit again I'm the future.

Janice was the best host. She was so kind and helpful, always responsive. Janice went above and beyond for us and was great. The pod was incredible with the hot tub being a highlight for us, it was 10/10 and kept extremely clean.

Can’t recommend this place enough: clean, cosy, stylish and has amazing views. Enjoyed lighting the pizza oven and log burner at night and exploring the area. Great hosts and a brilliant spot to stay, will definitely go back!!
