Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. Next to the house is the main house where sometimes there may be some. The house is newly built with nice kitchen and bath and everything a house should have. 10 min walk from beautiful sandy beach. In addition to a large double bed for 2 people, the house has a 140 cm box mattress in the loft. Suitable for 1 person. There is free access to kayaks, sup, fire pit, bicycles and fishing rods. Lovely cottage of 90m ² with loft in quiet surroundings, close to the fjord and a lovely common area with a bathing jetty during the summer months. It does not overlook the water from the house. Water, towels, bed linen, tea towels, and staples like oil, sugar, and spices are included in the price. Consumption of electricity is charged at 3kr/kWh. We'll send an account request before and settle afterwards. The garden is completely secluded with room for games, sports and play, on the grass in the front yard there is a volleyball net.
