The house is close to the forest, which is filled with beautiful lakes, and it is a 3-minute drive from Silkeborg's most beautiful lake, which you can see in the pictures. There is grass + outdoor areas, and the house has two bedrooms, a large living room + conservatory, kitchen, hallway, bathroom and toilet. There is WiFi in the house, but no TV as we invite you to enjoy peace, nature experiences, socializing and lovely conversations!

You will have your own entrance to the apartment. From the bedroom entrance to the TV room/kitchenette with the possibility of sleeping 2 people on the sofa bed. From the TV room, there is access to a private bathroom/toilet. There will be the opportunity to store things in a refrigerator with a small freezer. There is an electric kettle so you can make coffee and tea. In the kitchenette, there is 1 mobile hot plate and 2 small pots as well as 1 oven No frying in the room. Cold drinks can be purchased for DKK 5 and wine for DKK 35. Pay in cash or MobilePay.

But noise from traffic must be expected - especially on weekdays, when trucks and tractors are running and at harvest time. It is 2 km to shopping and 7 km to Silkeborg city center. If you want to experience Denmark from its beautiful and quiet side, then “Vidkærhøj” is the place for you. The home is part of our property from the 1870s, and was originally an old barn, which we have lovingly restored over the past few years. It is centrally located between Aarhus, Silkeborg and Skanderborg. It is high up here, and if you like, our dog, Aggie, would love to greet you, just as our cats, chickens and rooster are also very curious. We can’t wait to host you 🤗
