Cabin holiday rentals in East Devon District

We had booked in for a very short stay of only two nights but we wish it had been longer, much longer. We cannot fault The Signal Box; everything to make a stay pleasant, convenient and enjoyable had been thought of. The exceptional view, the history of Luckett Station, the friendly sheep, the hot-tub, the superbly comfortable bed - all combined to make this an experience that we will remember for a long time to come. The entire property was beautifully kept, with immaculate gardens and a very high standard inside. The instructions for access on arrival to the property were clear and easy to follow and the business is obviously very well run. Definitely worth recommending to others and a return visit. Thank you for having us.

one of the best and most peaceful places we have ever stayed! lovely location, beautiful garden, privacy and a great hotub! kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice dinner and the lodge itself is beautiful. we had a great time and even with some heavy rain it was great. don't expect to be connected to the outside world as phone and Internet is almost non-existent, but that is what is so relaxing about this place! Couldn't praise this stay any more, wish we had booked longer than a few days. Home cooked pizza, then the hot tub and watching the sun set over the hills, watching the deer in the fields and surrounded by the horses was absolutely wonderful. Nearby to Weymouth and ammenaties for exploring and stocking up. Made us and the doggo feel so welcome. Thanks so much for having us. We would love to come back!

I dont think the photos do it justice with how nice this place was! There were so many finishing touches that made it feel like a spa retreat more than just a place to stay. The instructions on getting there were spot on and the host was so friendly and welcoming. We could have happily stayed for a month, shame we only had a weekend free 😊

We had a lovely 4 nights at the Wagon. The surrounding area is very beautiful and peaceful, enhanced by the addition of the hot tub. The wagon itself was clean, well equipped and secure. Amenities were as described. The Hosts were very responsive and accommodating and even allowed us to check in early due to adverse weather conditions. The location is tucked anyway which is perfect for creating a peaceful environment and always has many different animals which you are able to see throughout your stay. We would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the Dorset countryside which offers touching distance to the seaside.

Our stay at the cabin was nothing short of amazing. The space was cozy, clean, and had a lot of attractions—perfect for a peaceful getaway. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Their thoughtful touches and local recommendations really made a difference. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing retreat with truly perfect hosts!

We loved it , exactly what we needed for a few days . Getting away from our normally hectic work life . Nice and peaceful. we loved the privacy although your right next to the hosts home you’d never know . They’ve set out everything so you are very much in separate space . The hot tub is amazing, perfect for star gazing if you turn off the lights . On arrival Ann-Marie was so helpful and showed us everything we needed to know . Getting to meet the family pets was a bonus too . Honestly can’t recommend it enough. We both agreed we’d definitely return . If you’re looking for somewhere, chilled with beautiful views this is the one . Loved it thanks again .

We had a lovely stay in Swallows Cabin. It's even more lovely than it is in the photos. Such beautiful surroundings too. The private garden was very big and secure and our dog loved running around and playing out there. Would definitely recommend and we both said we would happily stay again!

We had a great stay at the Bothy - 2 adults and small dog. Lovely spot. Quiet and peaceful. Birdwatching from the hut - daily visits from a kestrel and buzzard overhead and too many varieties to list in the hedges and the wild meadow in front. Take binoculars! Easy access to walks along the Otter and Sid. Didn’t make use of the fire or the outside bath!

We had a really relaxing stay at the cabin, it was just so peaceful, set just outside the village with some good walks. The cabin had everything we needed and more, and although the weather wasn't great for us, it was still relaxing to sit out on the porch. The Garden was totally secure for our dog, who had a great time exploring...it was also good to arrive somewhere with a dog and not have a list of dog behaviour rules!! We got to the Wales Retreat and from the moment we walked in we flet so at home with the cosy features. The property smelt beautiful all throughout. Everything was spotless and even the fridge was equipped with essentials which was greatly recieved. The loaction is absolutely beautiful and I was in love with our own secluded private decking area with the most comfiest beanbag seats! Pet friendly which was a bonus for our GSP - she loved having a little area outside of her own and tje site was very welcoming to dogs. We will really be booking in again although we sre struggling to find your availability! 🙂

lovley stay everything as described, absolutly charming place. You can even see heytor from the garden, stunning. Loads to do in area too. Our microwave stopped working and they came and replaced with a new one in less than 5 minuites. Only shame was the weather was so nice we didnt get a chance to use the wood burner. Faultless

Fantastic little spot in a beautiful valley. Very warm greeting from Tim when we arrived giving us some insight about the local access for walking. Great spot to escape - very quiet and calm location with very comfortable accommodation with everything you would need. Definitely be revisiting !

A fabulous stay at the cabin - it was exactly as described and absolutely perfect for my stay whilst doing a course at River Cottage. I could walk there along a beautiful, wooded track an around 15mins. The hosts were super responsive to any queries and the cabin itself was spotless with lots of thoughtful touches - loved the little torches! A beautiful, secluded spot.

We had the most incredible stay at this property. The views alone were some of the best we’ve ever experienced, with the deck overlooking the sea. The beach is a short walk down the cliff side from the property (the walk back up is a workout to say the least, especially on a boiling hot day!) and a stroll across the sand couldn’t have been more peaceful. Christian was a great host and was quick to respond to any questions. This is the perfect place to switch off, with bedrooms with great views and a spacious living room and kitchen. The only thing we’d suggest is possibly bringing your own essentials, such as milk, butter and cooking bits as local shops are about a 15 minute drive. Overall we can’t recommend this place enough, we really needed to reset after a hectic few months and we finally managed to here for which we are so grateful.

This is our 3rd visit to The Fisherman's Hut. It is very well equipped and in a lovely location very close to the sea front and the town. Rose and the family are perfect hosts. They are very friendly and helpful and available if required. Thanks again for another lovely, peaceful stay at the property.

Just back from a magical honeymoon stay at The Hoot—absolutely fabulous….. even better than the photos. The energy is incredible: soul-soothing, serene, and full of love. Every detail has been thought of, with quirky decor and spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfy, and soaking in the outdoor tub during a rainstorm was amazing. Jan and Dunc are kind, thoughtful hosts who give you complete space to fully unwind. Can’t imagine anyone regretting a stay here and we will definitely return ✨🌿🛁

This was one of the best stays I’ve had. The view was incredible and the hot tub was amazing! If you’re lucky enough to have the chance to book this place, I’d 100% recommend. Had a lovely stay at the cabin for me and my partners anniversary weekend. Was a lovely escape & was surrounded by beautiful scenery. The area was quiet and extremely peaceful. It has everything you need including cooking supplies. Julia was really friendly and responded quickly to any questions. So glad we found this place & would definitely go back!!

Was on a course at St Luke’s Campus for a few days and this was the perfect accommodation for the job - sparkling clean, big comfy bed, lovely smell, plenty of space and really well equipped in a private ‘hideaway’ at the end of the garden - bathroom and sink / cooking area are outside but don’t let that put you off! It’s beautifully done and super clean and comfy to use and undercover. So nice to be surrounded by plants and trees, free tea/coffee and breakfast bits. Just 5 mins walk from campus and free parking sorted over the road via residents permit. Wouldn’t hesitate to return, thank you! :-)
