Farmstay holiday rentals in East Devon District

We couldn't say enough good things about our visit - the cottage is beautifully decorated and maintained and the garden / orchard is so peaceful to sit in, both are just as described. The cottage is very well kitted out and there is everything you could think to need in the kitchen. There are so many lovely touches if you are visiting with children (which is rare for Airbnb, we find) and makes all the difference when away from home. This is an Airbnb where the owners care not only about the property but about the quality of your stay. Neil and Mike are friendly and accommodating, we only wished we had been staying for longer!

It was a pleasure to stay a week at Little Greenhayes which has beautiful views from all aspects. The rolling countryside at the front with sheep occasionally in one of the fields and rabbits spotted in another. To the rear is Amanda's beautifully landscaped garden that attracts lots of birds and you can enjoy the birdsong from your own private terrace. It's a good location for trips to the Devon and Dorset coasts or inland to towns like Bridport, especially good on market days, and delightful villages like Colyton. Added to all this is Amanda, who is a friendly and attentive host.

Absolutely love this gem of a place. Stayed in the Garden room last time, now upstairs both charming and cosy. Such a lovely spot and hopefully will visit again soon! Thank you Mike and Kate for making us feel so welcome too :)

Only stayed one night for a wedding but the property was spotless. Heather kindly allowed us to drop some stuff off which was extremely helpful. Thank you

We booked a last minute mini break to Bluebell grey, enjoying visits to the beach during the day followed by relaxed evenings back at the cottage playing badminton and boules in the garden. As the evening light faded we settled down inside the cosy cottage with a gin and tonic or two playing cards around the table, feeling relaxed and comfortable. Thank you Michael for being so responsive with our last minute booking and for being so accommodating with an earlier check in time and equally relaxed with a later departure time. I will hold that lovely evening view across the fields in my memory. Thank you

Absolutely wonderful stay at Rebecca’s. The property is charming (and super clean, up to date etc.) and it is set in a stunning area of countryside so it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. The house had everything we needed and we felt right at home immediately. The location is perfect too - beautiful walks right from the house, a short drive from the coast but nicely away from the busier areas. Rebecca’s communication, flexibility and hospitality were also exceptional which all contributed to a brilliant holiday. Would highly recommend and looking forward to returning!

We had the most magical stay at the lodge for my partners birthday with our young baby and dog. Beautiful surroundings & the views were unmatched. We saw shooting stars and amazing sunsets. Any issues that we had were dealt with quickly & we can’t wait to return in the winter 😍

We had such a wonderful stay for my partners birthday, Clive went the extra mile to make us feel welcome by putting up some birthday decorations and leaving us some treats for when we arrived. It's a perfect place to get away and unwind in nature, we were always surrounded by animals whether it was Norman the cat visiting during a bbq, hanging out with the goats, or watching the ducks drift about in the stream while relaxing in the hot tub. Thank you very much to Clive and Nikki for hosting us. I cannot recommend Kingfisher enough, we truly had an amazing time :)

We had the most wonderful time at this beautiful cabin. It was meticulously clean, beautifully designed, and every little detail had been thoughtfully taken care of by the hosts. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed and at home. The location was peaceful and picturesque - the perfect escape. You can really tell how much care and love has gone into creating this space. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene getaway.

We had a lovely 2 night stay in Axminster. Instructions provided were clear and had no trouble accessing the annex. The annex itself was lovely. Very clean and comfortable. Had everything there that you would need. Very comfy bed. The hot tub is of course a lovely addition and is ready to use on arrival! As the annex is located far off the main road, it is very peaceful and quiet. A really nice base to have to visit and explore surrounding towns. Thank you for having us 😊

Fantastic family weekend away to celebrate my Dads 70th. Such a beautiful special house with everything you need! The hot tub and games room was well used and lots of fun was had. Beds were incredibly comfortable and the house and the grounds were everything we wanted and more. The house was stunning and we had a fabulous weekend, we would highly recommend. Thanks Lynne.

Absolutely stunning place. Louise was the perfect host answering every question I asked. The pool was a great hit with us adults and of course the children. The farm tour was lovely and Louise was very understanding when my little boy had a nose bleed whilst feeding the calves. I would highly recommend a stay at The Grange!

Beautiful setting and a beautifully built log cabin. Peaceful and tranquil. Well worth the money and we will return in the future. Visitors need to visit the anchor inn in seatown for lovely food and drinks

fantastic stay, thank you to Dorothy for making our stay so enjoyable and relaxing, great folder left with recommendations on where to visit, where to go to eat etc, the views from the pub beer garden were just amazing. we went to a couple of local beaches and to monkey world, and corfe castle. and explored the surrounding beautiful village. annex was lovely, cosy and enjoyed using the private decking and garden. only one negative is that the water tasted chemically( if that's a word hahah) but we got around this by rinsing the kettle after each use and refilling the water per use. Thanks for a wonderful relaxing stay in beautiful Dorset.

Amazing coach house . Very clean and tasteful decor. Felt at home straightaway after Karen and Steve greeted us. Had a lovely couple of nights and enjoyed watching the alpacas with our dog. Great location. Enjoyed walking into the village and had a lovely meal at The Saddlers, 5 min walk.

Having grown up in the area, Kennel Farm is the place we choose to come back for our family holiday every year. We love the house and surroundings. Excellent location and Tanya is a perfect host. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time here. Lovely hosts, quality furnishings, appliances and linens. Welcome pack really appreciated (esp. the fizz). Quiet and peaceful surroundings, yet only 3 mins by car to Broadoak for shopping, another 5 to the beach/harbour at West Bay. Walks from the accommodation if that's your thing, loved it when Roger (the dog) visited morning and evening. Loved it, should have booked longer. Thank you for letting us stay here.

Our stay at Barbara’s accommodation was absolutely perfect. The house was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully prepared, making us feel right at home. Barbara was incredibly responsive to our booking request and showed such kindness throughout our visit. Her attention to detail and hospitality made our stay truly special. Highly recommended!

Myself and bestie came while being on ‘a children free weekend’ girls road trip and stayed one night. Although we didn’t need to use the facilities for apart from sleeping and showering. we loved our stay and everything was wonderful, the grounds are just so lovely, the cabin and the hosts, we got there quiet late so decided to take ourselves to the local beach to sit and eat dinner on the beach and watch the sunset which is less than 5 minutes down the road. It was a lovely stay - Lovely place, lovely area and lovely hosts So thank you and we will definitely return with our children. Because I know my little one would love your farm too. Thank you

Honestly could not be happier with our trip. The cottage is perfect - bright, clean and spacious, but still with a cosy soulful feeling. We had a wonderful stay - days spent exploring the area and making use of the tennis court and table tennis at the farm, then cosy evenings back at the cottage in front of the log burner. It was perfect and we can’t wait to return!

We had a fabulous stay at Lizi's accommodation - it was absolutely perfect & Lizi was most helpful - loved the Hot Tub in the lovely private garden. We will definitely be back !!

The perfect spot for a much-needed peaceful getaway. The accommodation was beautiful, with lovely extra touches like locally made soap, homemade jam and not only a coffee machine but also a milk frother! The bed was wonderfully comfortable and waking up to the sound of cuckoos was bliss. Michael was incredibly friendly, kind and helpful but also left us to our own devices so we felt very secluded and private. We loved walking, cycling and swimming in the river nearby as well as getting out to explore the local towns, having been recommended some great places to visit and restaurants to eat at. We would LOVE to come back! Pin & Ben :o)

The Old Stables felt like home, and is in a lovely setting. The views from the garden are lovely and you can hear the river and birds. Our stay gave us exactly what we needed, and Ian was a large part of that as he helped us feel relaxed and totally at home. It is a beautiful area, with plenty of lovely river walks and places to visit. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden, reading, and playing croquet. Ian is an excellent host and a lovely person. As someone else said one of the best places we have stayed in. And, yes, the bed was very comfortable. When the temperature rose Ian provided us with a very effective fan.
