We had a nice, albeit very wet, Pentecost weekend in Rachel's house. We were two families (6 people, 2 children (3 years)). We particularly liked how child-friendly and well-equipped the house was. There are plenty of toys and the trampoline in the garden was a hit. The surroundings are beautifully idyllic. However, we were a little surprised by the high number of ticks, but no one can do anything about that. However, you should prepare yourself before a vacation in the area (vaccination, spray) and check daily, especially with the kids. The house was very cozy and could be heated wonderfully warm with the fireplace in the unfortunately very bad weather. The walk to the house, which is a little elevated, was a little impractical. If you arrive with a little more luggage and shopping, you have to walk the way several times, but it worked. Overall, we were satisfied and felt very comfortable.

Great apartment, friendly proactive approach with useful hints and tips, fully equipped and stylishly furnished apartment, great comfortable king-size bed, no carpet (suitable for allergy sufferers). We were two with our dog for a week in the accommodation of Beatrix and felt super comfortable. At check-in, the family was on site and showed us everything. We were received in a very friendly and warm manner. In the accommodation we lacked nothing, everything was very clean, beautifully furnished and the location is beautiful. The only criticism: We would have liked to have been prepared for the fact that 4 goats are directly on the property. This took a bit of nerve the first two days, because our dog is very motivated to hunt and we had to show her that the goats were not to be eaten. 😅 But with a lot of management, we were able to let them run freely on the beautiful property. We will definitely return! (:

The place in the bear hole was simply fantastic! Quietly located with a beautiful view – just the place to relax and unwind. The apartment is furnished with a lot of love for detail, so you feel completely comfortable from the first moment. Everything was clean and well equipped. You can tell right away that there's passion in this place. Full referral – we'd love to come back!

We had a very nice stay at Oda in the small apartment. Everything necessary was available and everything was already set up for our dog. On request, we were able to use bicycles on site, with which we rode into Kassel city center. The environment is wonderfully quiet. Thank you, Oda!

The stay here was a real relaxing holiday. Great house, kitchen well equipped, large garden for games and sports and the hot tub and sauna. The house is very open, modern and furnished to a high standard. A real dream during the day. Not 100% perfect is that there is only one bathroom with toilet and at 6 at night the open style is also rather disadvantageous. The solution with the box in the garden is great, there you have privacy, the other 4 guests unfortunately have no enclosed retreat. One last negative point is the comfort of the beds, unfortunately there were 2 sofa beds, which did not match the comfort of a real bed. Nevertheless, we were able to enjoy the holiday very much! A walk through the villages past sheep, cows, ducks and chickens rounded off the holiday. A big plus was also the kitchen equipment: an incredible amount of spices, tea, oil... There was also chives, rosemary and lemon balm in the garden. Thank you for the great time!

Good value for money. Marle and her husband were friendly and offered us pasta ingredients when we had mistakenly bought pizzas to bake, not realizing there was no oven in the house (our mistake – we should have read the information more carefully 🫣😅)

I spent 4 relaxing days with my boyfriend and my parents. We were able to enjoy the place in the different weather conditions. On the sunny days, we enjoyed the lovingly landscaped garden with grilled food and babbling brooks, and on the rainy days, we went to the city center, which is within walking distance. We lacked nothing and were warmly welcomed by Lara and Chris! This place is highly recommended! Best regards, Louisa and Michael

Super central and beautiful place to stay. Perfect for exploring Gotha. In just a few steps, you can reach the castle and the city center. Sabine is very nice and easy to reach. Always happy to come back:)

We had an all-round successful stay with Nicole and Helga! The apartment was very clean, lovingly furnished and well equipped - ideal for our three-day hiking holiday in the Thuringian Forest. Nicole and Helga are exceptionally warm and accommodating hosts. Upon arrival, we felt immediately welcome. Even during our stay, they were at our side with valuable tips about the area. After extensive hikes in the beautiful nature of the Thuringian Forest, we were able to end the day in the evening relaxing on the balcony - simply wonderful! Thank you for the great time – we will be happy to come back!

Highly recommended for a study trip as well as a city trip! There is everything you need. Versatile shopping and various restaurants in the area. The train station and city center are within easy walking distance. Unfortunately, my last longer stay in Schmalkalden for the time being. I will miss it. Thank you and best regards,

Everything you need to spend a few nice days in the Thuringian Forest. The accommodation is a self-contained apartment in a larger detached house, but you don't get too much from the neighbors. The apartment is tastefully furnished and was really sparkling clean. The contact with Jörg was friendly and uncomplicated. There's nothing to complain about. A good starting point for local hikes.

Loved it! The place was clean, well appointed and cozy. The environment was very nice and the apartment is centrally but quietly located. We felt completely comfortable – happy to come back!

We were super satisfied and very happy to be guests. The outdoor area was also particularly beautiful. Everything as described, very nicely furnished:) Even a short-term change (my nephew came spontaneously) was no problem, thank you very much again :)

We regularly use this accommodation because it is generously sized for the three of us, has a small breakfast garden, is close to the center and offers everything we need. We would also like to come back in 2026.

We felt very comfortable with Lutz and Sabine. They were super friendly and helpful. The location of the apartment is quiet and allows many excursions to the nearby area (Gotha, Erfurt,..). The apartment is lovingly decorated and leaves nothing to be desired. Glad to come back!

Petra is very friendly and helpful. The apartment is really lovingly furnished and thoughtfully equipped. Three people can get along well here, if the narrow bathroom does not bother you. Earplugs could help, because the apartment is a bit noisy.

We were very happy with our stay with Dirk. The place is incredibly beautiful - both from the outside and from the inside - and very well maintained. In addition to the cozy rooms and the extensive amenities, the roof terrace was a small highlight for us. Communication was also hassle-free, accommodating and always very quick. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a wonderful long weekend in Anne-Kathrin's apartment in Wanfried! We lacked nothing, the apartment is very cozy and functional. We came with bicycles, were able to park them well and even without a car, everything is easily accessible in and around Wanfried. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance, wonderful nature anyway :) We can only recommend!
